Why would she have a British accent? They just put it in to make her posh or something. It's like making Wolvie have a Jamaican accent randomly to make him 'wordlier' or some dumb crap. Has nothing to do with the actual character or where they actually were raised.

the producers said that each movie was going to be independent from each other after the third. in case you didn't know, Alex Masters also known as Havok is Scott Summers little brother. Well Scott isn't even born in the first class movie, but his little brother's there.

the movies don't have much to do with the comics, the directors change them so it won't be the same i guess, to make it grow or whatever....

Prequel: shows what happened before a series

Reboot: has its own universe, ignores the rest of canon.

X men first class is a reboot and can do anything it wants.

When it comes to whether or not the movies are connected, the amount of years come into play. When Xavier users Cerebro on First Class, you can see young Storm and Cyclops. Cyclops is about 8 or 9. He's a teenager in First Class, so if these are connected, eight or nine years are between the two. Maybe Xavier is possibly only temporaliy paralyzed in First Class which is why he can walk later on. With explanation for Mystique's aging, I was under belief all movies are connected.

I agree origins and first class are different in timeline but all of you know how movies are. After I read some of the comments I thought of a way that connects the two movies. It could be that emma and professor x was in a fight with a mutant after first class happened and the mutant somehow altered their physical apperances which would explain why she's young and he's older and not paralyzed in origins. But, the point is maybe the film makers will find a way to put the two movies together.

@cheshire1004 Well, Emma did not really choose sides when she was younger, and in this movie she was just intent on getting everyone out of the facility they were trapped in. She does eventually join a group of villains (called the Hellfire Club). However, she does eventually swap sides and become a member of the X-Men. In most recent versions of the comics, she is depicted as a heroine. Although, none of this really seems relative with the movies, since there is an issue with the timeline.

If Scott Summers met Charles Xavier when he escaped from the prison on the island with Emma Frost. Which looks like it would be before X-MEN First Class because Emma looks younger in Wolverine Origins, then why wasn't Scott with Charles and on the team with his brother in X-MEN First Class? And how could Charles be older in the X-MEN Origins movie, younger in X-MEN First Class, but Emma is the opposite younger in Origins and older in X-MEN First Class?

You are so correct. Her diamond form in this movie would have so many problems like having many "flaws" when Emma as a whole diamond like in the comics and 1st class movie has one flaw. I loved the 1st Class time form I just wish her clothes didn't change with her form. I would be have cooler to not have it change and then the money for her CGI would have been spread around so we could see her more time in diamond form.

So much for a reboot. I just got First Class today and in the extras they have Emma Frost's profile and it says that later on she was a prisoner along with Cyclops at Three Mile Island. In the still image they have a the girl from Origins in the background and January Jones in the foreground.

After the amount of accent changes in First Class though (Moira, Emma, Banshee, etc) I think I've given up any hope these guys will ever follow even remotely close to the far superior source material. Emma is one "big" diamond. If she wasn't then she wouldn't be the near perfection that she is. Her Diamond Form the first class is more correct then this one as it depicts want it should like as a whole "diamond" with only a flaw which would in this movie be in her neck and not on her face. This form would mean that she is made up on many diamonds and would have many "flaws".

the way i understood it the emma escaped the prison and went to side with sebastian shaw after origins:wolverine but i realized at the ending of wolverine, professor x came for the mutants on wheelchair.... there's definitely an error on the timeline.

People argueing over emotional performance. Well lets see, first the Wolverine origins one was barely even in the movie, just a step above a cameo, and felt more like a Stepford Cuckoo than Emma Frost (also only way to keep her in continuity, but other elements screw that up anyway). Plus the First Class performance was based on the classic Emma Frost, the White Queen, back when she was a villain (in other words before Generation-X, and the current comics) White Queen was all out for herself.
