Both the melody and the lyric structure remind me of another spell-it-out song, probably from the 40s or 50s. I don't know the composer or the title, but the ending includes "Put them all together, they spell 'mother'".
Search for "they spell mother" plus "song lyrics" on Google; you've probably heard a few other, more risqué parodies that come up if you don't know the original.

Just checked Google--the song that inspired D-U-C-K-I-E *does* seem to be Eddy Arnold's "Mother (a Word That Means the World to Me)".
