I wish there were more videos of these lyrics to the song. Unless it's this video, all I get are dudes with acoustic guitars or the "let Italy boast" version
if you are going to sing about scotland show some emotion, the song/anthem is about the song not about you!!! I don't care how many teeth you have and how white they are I care about your heart and the love you have for my land.Sing for my country and sing like nobody is watching and you could be good
You've got to be kidding, Katie is one of the best ambassadors Scotland could hope for. Shes resurrected Celtic Harp and puts a modern flair on many traditional songs that would otherwise pass into obscurity. Certainly I feel the Pipes are the best representation of Scotland the Brave but lets not be so narrow minded that we can't appreciate the song played on a traditional Celtic instrument.

dont give up your day job love. try lap dancing if youve got the boobs. cant stay awake long enough to write this. looks aint enough to get away with this crap. stay home.
That's not uncommon in singers, Orlovna. The Seekers don't sound Australian even when singing Waltzing Matilda. The Beatles didn't sound British in almost any of their songs. Neither did Lulu when she sang " To Sir with Love. " I could give many more instances ie. Dusty Springfield, The Dave Clark Five, etc. But you get the idea. Not criticising. Just pointing it out.
Sometimes great things do not mix up well. Great voice, great instrument, great dress, nice high-class settings, great composer, great song. But no. Good to watch once, not again. Sorry. Thanks for the effort though.
Why only half the song? Would love to hear her sing the complete song - this is a great version although not as upbeat as it should be. She makes this her own and it sounds great.
A beautiful girl, singing a beautiful song ( my favorite of all the world's anthems ) with a beautiful voice. What is not to love. Thanks for posting this.
Nice auto tune.

much better than hearing it on bagpipes
bagpipes sucks
Zolega89 2 years ago
@Zolega89 pipes are awsome
how would you feel if you saw 6ft 200lb men with massive swords, the sound of bagpipes droughing out the sound
originally the pipes signaled attack and retreats, they were the most important people on the battlefield
the drummers were common folk and dressed in red because it was cheep, the pipers wore green the most expensive die of the time
it take guts to say bagpipes suck
Hockeyman9770 1 year ago 3
@Hockeyman9770 they only sound good if they're mix with guitars and drums

Do you have to be scottish to appreciate Scottish culture? You have to admit it, she sings it very nicely.

She's got a fine voice, but I really don't care for this arrangement. It sounds like what Los Angeles or Nashville does to traditional music.
