  • Really nice.

  • At an Alex North seminar I attended at UCLA in 1984, he said that never winning an Academy Award was no big thing to him because films had allowed him to speak to millions who would never have heard his music...and that THAT was what was really important! I truly feel he was the greatest film composer ever.(and the most humble)

  • From the 1965 motion picture starring Charlton Heston and Rex Harrison. Directed by the great Carol Reed with a astounding score done by film composer Alex North.

North was also the composer of "Spartacus","Cleopatra",and "Cheyenne Autumn" as well as the original composer for Stanley Kubrick's "2001". Brilliant work.

  • @rayssonation at the time this movie was released in 1965,it was one of Fox's biggest hits. Nominated for 5 Oscars including Best Picture,Best Director,

Best Actor(Heston),and Best Supporting Actor(Harrison),as well as Best Original Score.

  • when it's done!
