When all is connected correctly with the correct gauge of wiring, Comcast Xfinity is now the best company for cable, internet and phone.
XFINITY is better than FIOS, DIRECT and U-verse, myself and others who had the competitor as cable internet providers tested the internet speeds after the upgrades to Xfinty, it is faster than the competition; We did get a new and more user friendly guide; more channels and more HD. We enjoy having access to movies and shows from internet and now Xfinity is bringing in Multi-Room DVR, there is no reason to have U-Verse. You can get me started, if you want the best get XFINITY.
Don't get me started with Comcast... Throttling, overcrowded nodes, nightly slowdowns, snooping, oudated cable technology and speeds are NOT guaranteed (unlike FiOS). And people don't really need TV and landline phones anymore with free [legal] internet TV and cell phones. I'm just sayin....

there is no point getting 100mbps because unless there is a bunch of people using the network at the same time, remember that internet speed is based on the connection of both way. so, unless the server you connecting to also have 100mbps which i highly doubt since there is barely any 100mbps provider, it is just a waste of money.

@flipstylemm Well torrents depend all on how much speed the up loader which is usually 2.0 mb/s unless they have some type of server hosting the content..But with companies and other things hosting content to download the download speed cap is usually unlimited so it can go that high. Also streaming uses up alot as well..I stream movies sometimes and if I wanted to stream in HD (which I never do) it can easily eat up 150mb/s
