  • It's remarkable that to underscore the "incompatibility" of short man - tall woman couplings they're shown dancing together awkwardly. Yet if you had a man say, seven inches taller than the woman you could make them look equally awkward together; but nobody bothers to show that.

    I suppose if the taller person leads they will blend well together regardless of their respective genders. Maybe it also depends on which dances they do.
