Dirk is my homeboy but mad respect for Duncun!!! Spurs got the pick of lifetime. Besides him or Wade dont know who else came straight from college ball and proved that u dont have to sellout right away for the money but love to play the game. n look at em now lol beat the Spurs 1/29/12 lol
Detroit choked in the conference finals and what resulted was this boring ass joke of a series instead of what was supposed to be an exciting finals rematch.
this shows you how much of a beast lebron is took them to the finals basically himself my nigga tried but just like jordan one man wins games but a team wins championships
Hey the Spurs are still 4-0 in the finals and have never lost in the finals they're Real Champions i think they can still win one more and make it 5 they can still beat any team in the Nba when they're completly healthy one of the main reasons why they lost to memphis recently was cuz of manu's injury and that did matter memphis was a way better 8th seeded than G.S.W of '07 when they beat the 67 win Dallas Mavs and made history beating a #1 seed first that year.
Swept by an 8th seed? When did the Spurs get swept by an 8th seed? Let us us know. I don't ever recall us getting swept by an 8th seed. Got beat 4 games to 2 by the Grizzlies, but not swept. Memphis was a good team (10 games ovr .500).The West is deep and stronger. The east is top heavy and weak. Many teams from that conference get in the playoffs with a losing record. been like that for years. We'll make the playoffs but wont get swept.
@jkbezo Oh my bad. I thought the Grizzlies swept them. There's only 2 teams in the West that are real competitors. Mavs and Spurs. The East has the Heat, the Celtics, the Bulls and recently, the Knicks.
Knicks was terrible for the past 7 years until last year. The Hawks have more upside than them and have been better than them for years.
The West also has the Thunder, Lakers, Grizzlies, Trailblazers, Hornets, Nuggets. Young teams that will get better: Clippers (yup, lol), Warriors, Kings, Jazz....
@jkbezo Grizzlies were an 8th seed, Hornets are on the verge of relocation, Nuggets won't get anywhere without Melo, Clippers have a long way to go, Warriors are not that good and the Kings are also on the verge of relocation. The Jazz are not a serious contender. So yeah.
Kings and Hornets have worked out the relocation situation (if you haven't heard). Relocation shouldn't affect their progress if it happens (see Hornets from Charlotte and OKC from Seattle), Denver actually did better as a team getting rid of Melo (ball hog with no defense) towards the end of the year. They have more players on the team than Melo, Jazz has awhile to go. Clippers and Warriors are young and talented. The West is deeper, so yeah...
@jkbezo Ok but the Grizzlies still suck. The west might have a lot more good teams than the East but the East has all the power houses (Miami, Boston etc.)
@DoesNotExist305 the grizzlies do not suck are you dumb? without rudy gay they went to the second round and took OKC to 7 games they are gonna be good from next season on
Lot of upside on that Memphis team, Gay was injured in the playoffs, they have good interior play. Miami (3 great players and a weak bench) is not a powerhouse. Boston is old and may be on the same boat as our Spurs.
@jkbezo the Memphis Grizzlies do suck. Just because they beat your favorite team doesn't mean they are good. Miami isn't a power house? Didn't we get into the NBA Finals in our first year as a team? Didn't we murder the Celtics and the Bulls in the playoffs? I mean sure we lost in the Finals but we lost to a team that has been together for years. We honestly don't need any bench. 95% of the reason we got to the Finals is because of the Big 3 only.
General consensus says (not only Spurs fans, fnas of the Western Conference and NBA) that Memphis is a good team (and dont suck)and on the upswing. Miami is no POWERHOUSE (1 NBA (questionable) title in their history), Celtics were not really the best team of the NBA, Bulls were very good, but young, their big men were sloppy, etc. The rest of the league (including the weaker east) will also get better and improve. 95% of the reason? LOL
Get at me when (more like if) the Heat wins the title next season. I'll be here next season. Favorite this video. Do that, OK. Along with the multiple title LJ promised your fickle fan base.

They were up a large amount with only a few minutes left in the game and Pop said to his team. "No fancy celebrations, I don't want to rub it in, we'll celebrate when we leave their court out of respect." The reason there is no big rivalry between the Lakers and the Spurs in because you must dislike the team who are your rivals. As a life long Laker fan...

It's almost impossible to hate the Spurs. They are simply a class act team with a class act coach and fans. Although these two teams have dominated the last decade of basketball usually having to get past each other in route to the finals the respect between the Lakers and the Spurs is too high for there to be a big heated rivalry because rivalries are spawned by hatred and how the hell can you hate the Spurs?

@Prodigy947 a great team? a great team dont get beat by a old..boston team.. lebron was the team shaq couldn do the thangs he did in l.a or miami.. cavs only had daniel gibsons mo williams 'sometimes' thats it... the others was just bench warmers..couldn shoot at all
@Galastin true but mans are saying that lebron is the best player in the nba some are even comparing him to jordan himself so if lebrons the best player in the nba i would think that he could be able to work with what he had besides dont sleep on the cavs roster that year they wouldn't have made it to the finals if guys weren't stepping up
7doz is a retard, who the fuck is lechoke, i know king james. lebron lead his team Every fucking year. kobe bryant is a choke too. 7-25 against heat on christmas. last year in game 7 6-27, thats not amazing, im not saying kobe isn't good, but lebron is better.
just wait u'll see, they have 6 years together, i guantee they will win at least 2 finals and probably make it to the finals 3 or 4 times.
@11rogerthat If it wasn't for Daniel Gibson, LeChoke and the Cavaliers would have been defeated by the Detroit Pistons in game 7 of the ECF. LeChoke only scored 14 points in game 1, and 25 in game 2, 3, and 4 of the NBA Finals. get off his dick, he's a loser not a winner. And all going down to South Beach to be Wade's bitch did was prove that.
@7doz only 25 points? also scoring isnt everything LeBron was running the court like a point guard. He was making all the plays and doing all the work on defense. Also if Daniel Gibson did have anything to do with the Cavs getting that far in the playoffs (he didnt) is because he wasnt getting double teamed almost every posetion like LeBron was
@7doz Wow! You seem really angry about him leaving. Cleveland was not a team. No one performed consistently but LBJ. He carried Cleveland all 7 years he was there. He deserves to be on a REAL time. Hopefully he can get him championship now. People need to quit being so bitter. By the way The Heat look good so far. Hope they can keep it up!
@7doz LeChoke, lol. That's Lebron's only setback though, in my opinion. He plays at his best off of momentum. Kobe, however, is consistent and that's why he's the best today... Not better than Jordan in his day, just wanna clarify that.
@Cspan1986 Kobe and consistent? wtf u on. Thats the reason why Kobe isnt good is because he is not consistent. When Kobe is hot he is unstoppable, but when he is off he often shoots his team out of games.
And also another setback on Kobe is that he never shows up for biggames like today. He got manhandled by Wade.
@7doz True Daniel Gibson played in game 7 but what about 1-6.....LEBRON CARRIED THEM BOYS!!!! You are saying ONLY 25 as if thats not big numbers to put up every night....point is Cavs are NOTHING WITHOUT LEBRON! They didnt see a final until he got there so dont act like they could have got their if he was on the bench. LEBRON IS A WINNER! Gosh I hate haters who hate for no reason!
@7doz Funny how you forgot to mention the 25 straight points he scored against Detroit in Game 6 that year. The triple teamed him all damn game in game 7. Fucking haters I swear. As for the Finals, the Spurs were the superior ball club. They were the best defensive team in the league at the time so yea they put the clamps down on LeBron, no shame in that.
@7doz Are you fucking for real, Daniel Gibson, Daniel Gibson!!!?!?! I don't think there's a biggest retard on Earth, but you get the upside down crown. Wow i love these retarded ass Kobe dickriders! WOW!
@7doz yes and please completely forget about game 5 hahahahha fuckin hater STFU if it wasnt for lebrons amazing 48 point performance in game 5 there wouldve been a 7th game dipshit hahahahaha and this year since lebron is on a real team hes ganna get a ring bitch and make you haters cry ahhahahah and what are the cavaliers right now?????????? 8 - 30 hahhhahahaha realize lebrons greatness BITCH and hop of his dick
@7doz yeah and thats why the cavs are the worst team in the team now LOL Where's that Daniel Gibson guy your talking about? what is he doing? is he carrying the cavs to the championship? LOL HELL no and so aint lebron cause he left that bitch ass of a city
@11rogerthat no matter where that overrated fucker goes he's gonna drag a team down. he cracks under pressure. Big time. IF the heat make it into the finals, and it is a MASSIVE if, they will lose. Guaranteed.
i love how most of the lebron-stans were saying the season before that the cavs had a great team built around lebron and they were going to win the title for sure. then came the infamous game 6 when lebron quitted in the 4th, and suddenly it was his supporting casts' fault for them failing to win a title. huh huh, self-contradiction at its finest.
@K24BeanB not really..when ya team dont have much heart passion hunger for the big dance u question ya self and them..plus west really fucked it up for cavs fans for sleepin around with lebron mom..smh what kinda team mate is that? lebron would of stay until that happen..the owner dont care for a tittle he didnt do as much trades free agents as he should of did..just look at this team 'no trades' just use what u got
Quitted? How about you learn the appropriate word to type in the context of the sentence, considering quitted isnt even a real word it shows me how knowledgeable you are.. Lebron is better than Kobe on all fronts, put Kobe on the Cavs and they'd barely make the playoffs..
@TheAnomaly24 im not a fan of any of those teams that are in this conversation, but i'd just like to say that i feel you left boston out of the conversation because they one more then the lakers, no offense. . . just sayin
@christof909 Umm...not really. The fuck is the point of announcing Boston. Point is the Lakers are shitting on both SA and DAL. The Celtics have the Lakers by an inch -- and probably less than that after 2011 is done.
The fact that you brought up another team to make your shitty franchises look better is LOL material.
@XxHooksxX I disagree. I wouldn't call any of those players "bad". First of all, Finley is a muli-time all-star. He's bad? Those other guys fit their roles perfectly. Those Spurs teams kind of remind of the role players the Bulls had in the 90's. Each player knew and played their role the way they were supposed to. I remember Oberto giving that team some key minutes when Duncan needed breaks. Vaughn the same thing. Every great team needs good role players to win a title.
Finley was bad, his defense was horrendous, especially with his last year with the Spurs, dude got scored on by every single SF in the league. The only thing Finley was good at was knocking down a 3 which was usually created by Duncan creating a shot for him, Duncan would draw in the defense and he'd kick it out to Fin for a wide open 3. By the time Fin got to the Spurs he was already old and declining rapidly.
Finley only shot 41% from the field, that's pretty bad.
@XxHooksxX Him and Bowen hitting those open 3's were key for the Spurs tho. And 41% isn't that bad for a shooting gaurd, considering he's shooting all jumpers. I realize he wasn't the same guy he was when he played at Dallas but he was still serviceable for what they needed out of him.
Vaughn was terrible too, all Vaughn had to do was not fuck up lol, that was his role on the team. He wasn't a good passer, scorer, defender, nothing really. He was bad, same thing with Oberto. Oberto was an intelligent player, occasionally he'd pick up some charges here and there and he was a good passer but that was it, couldn't block shots, couldn't defend other bigs, couldn't rebound.
The trio of TD, Manu, and TP was amazing, they made EVERYONE around them better.
@XxHooksxX Sometimes the best thing a role player can do is "not fuck up". Oberto didn't have to rebound and block shots, not when you got Duncan next to him. Think about it, what exactly did Robinson do in 2003 next Duncan? He was pretty much a statue at that point and he still was serviceable enough. Yes the big 3 made everyone better but that's what great players should do. Remember the role players the Bulls had in the 90's? None of them stood out but Jordan and Pippen made them better.
The thing about the Spurs' role players (Aside from Bruce) is that you could find at least a HUNDRED players in the NBA that could've done the EXACT same thing that the Spurs' role players did. Look at Bonner this season with the Spurs, dude is shooting 50% from 3, why? It's because ALL of his 3's are wide open.
That bench was pretty terrible, I remember some nights the big 3 would combine for 70 out of the 90 points scored in a game by the Spurs, no joke.
@XxHooksxX Maybe you could, maybe you couldn't. The fact is the guys that were there played their roles effectively. Everyone in the NBA can play, its just matter of if a player is in the right situation to thrive. You're talking the 300 best players in the world, of course these guys are good. It's just a player has to be in the right place at the right time to shine. Is Derrick Fisher as renowned as he is if he played with the Clippers his whole career? I think not.

When ever I think of Greg Pop and the Spurs I think of 2003, the Spurs were on the verge of knocking the Lakers out of the playoffs in LA.

@Galastin true but mans are saying that lebron is the best player in the nba some are even comparing him to jordan himself so if lebrons the best player in the nba i would think that he could be able to work with what he had besides dont sleep on the cavs roster that year they wouldn't have made it to the finals if guys weren't stepping up

7doz 1 year ago 8
@7doz only 25 points? also scoring isnt everything LeBron was running the court like a point guard. He was making all the plays and doing all the work on defense. Also if Daniel Gibson did have anything to do with the Cavs getting that far in the playoffs (he didnt) is because he wasnt getting double teamed almost every posetion like LeBron was
jifyum07 1 year ago
@7doz and i wonder why you didnt mention his 48-9-7 game... oh thats right you're just a hater... and that's all you are

PrimeTime631 1 year ago
@7doz LeChoke, lol. That's Lebron's only setback though, in my opinion. He plays at his best off of momentum. Kobe, however, is consistent and that's why he's the best today... Not better than Jordan in his day, just wanna clarify that.
Cspan1986 1 year ago
@Cspan1986 Kobe and consistent? wtf u on. Thats the reason why Kobe isnt good is because he is not consistent. When Kobe is hot he is unstoppable, but when he is off he often shoots his team out of games.
And also another setback on Kobe is that he never shows up for biggames like today. He got manhandled by Wade.
Cheema0113 1 year ago
@7doz True Daniel Gibson played in game 7 but what about 1-6.....LEBRON CARRIED THEM BOYS!!!! You are saying ONLY 25 as if thats not big numbers to put up every night....point is Cavs are NOTHING WITHOUT LEBRON! They didnt see a final until he got there so dont act like they could have got their if he was on the bench. LEBRON IS A WINNER! Gosh I hate haters who hate for no reason!
drunky1022 1 year ago
@7doz thats sad. Ur comment is awful and it just shows ur stupidity. Only 25 pts in games where he was double teamed.
Lebronkobe06280 1 year ago
@7doz Funny how you forgot to mention the 25 straight points he scored against Detroit in Game 6 that year. The triple teamed him all damn game in game 7. Fucking haters I swear. As for the Finals, the Spurs were the superior ball club. They were the best defensive team in the league at the time so yea they put the clamps down on LeBron, no shame in that.

OompaLoompa211 1 year ago
i love how most of the lebron-stans were saying the season before that the cavs had a great team built around lebron and they were going to win the title for sure. then came the infamous game 6 when lebron quitted in the 4th, and suddenly it was his supporting casts' fault for them failing to win a title. huh huh, self-contradiction at its finest.
K24BeanB 1 year ago
@K24BeanB not really..when ya team dont have much heart passion hunger for the big dance u question ya self and them..plus west really fucked it up for cavs fans for sleepin around with lebron mom..smh what kinda team mate is that? lebron would of stay until that happen..the owner dont care for a tittle he didnt do as much trades free agents as he should of did..just look at this team 'no trades' just use what u got
jaysoofly100 1 year ago
@K24BeanB
Quitted? How about you learn the appropriate word to type in the context of the sentence, considering quitted isnt even a real word it shows me how knowledgeable you are.. Lebron is better than Kobe on all fronts, put Kobe on the Cavs and they'd barely make the playoffs..

@christof909 Umm...not really. The fuck is the point of announcing Boston. Point is the Lakers are shitting on both SA and DAL. The Celtics have the Lakers by an inch -- and probably less than that after 2011 is done.

fuck i miss this spurs team, so stacked
funakiexpress 1 year ago
@funakiexpress
This spurs team wasn't stacked at all, there were a lot of bad players on our roster.
Finley
Oberto
Elson
Vaughn
Bonner
Udrih
That Cavs team was just REALLY bad lol, the Spurs' roster right now is better but so are the other nba teams...
XxHooksxX 1 year ago
@XxHooksxX I disagree. I wouldn't call any of those players "bad". First of all, Finley is a muli-time all-star. He's bad? Those other guys fit their roles perfectly. Those Spurs teams kind of remind of the role players the Bulls had in the 90's. Each player knew and played their role the way they were supposed to. I remember Oberto giving that team some key minutes when Duncan needed breaks. Vaughn the same thing. Every great team needs good role players to win a title.
Antrizzle2009 1 year ago
@Antrizzle2009
XxHooksxX 1 year ago
@XxHooksxX Him and Bowen hitting those open 3's were key for the Spurs tho. And 41% isn't that bad for a shooting gaurd, considering he's shooting all jumpers. I realize he wasn't the same guy he was when he played at Dallas but he was still serviceable for what they needed out of him.
Antrizzle2009 1 year ago
@Antrizzle2009
XxHooksxX 1 year ago
@XxHooksxX Sometimes the best thing a role player can do is "not fuck up". Oberto didn't have to rebound and block shots, not when you got Duncan next to him. Think about it, what exactly did Robinson do in 2003 next Duncan? He was pretty much a statue at that point and he still was serviceable enough. Yes the big 3 made everyone better but that's what great players should do. Remember the role players the Bulls had in the 90's? None of them stood out but Jordan and Pippen made them better.
Antrizzle2009 1 year ago
@Antrizzle2009
XxHooksxX 1 year ago
@XxHooksxX Maybe you could, maybe you couldn't. The fact is the guys that were there played their roles effectively. Everyone in the NBA can play, its just matter of if a player is in the right situation to thrive. You're talking the 300 best players in the world, of course these guys are good. It's just a player has to be in the right place at the right time to shine. Is Derrick Fisher as renowned as he is if he played with the Clippers his whole career? I think not.
