  • I feel SOOOOOOO old seeing this game in action. I'm about to freakin' cry man. I'm only 25 and I shouldn't feel this old lol

  • I remember racing on this level and my car crashed off that cliff and when it respawed car went thru this area and I had a huge "WTF" moment. I found the level and I use to have so much fun but I hated having my car blowing up and having to find it again and again. It was cool at the time.

  • Man this was one of my favorite things on the N64. The best was getting 2 cars in there and doing crazy stunts crashing them into each other. My favorite move was to park one car on the top of the box that had the 1/4 pipes on all 4 sides. You would have part of the car hanging off the edge and take the other car and race around inside to pick up as much speed as possible and hit the part of the car sticking off and send it flying while flipping over and over wildly. Just amazingly fun.

  • Ah, i remember as a young teenager trying to get in to that hole. it was always so hard. i guess finding the hole using the fastest car in the game didn't help me.

    want to know a trick?

  • So funny thing, Todd Papy was also the design director on God of War 3 and contributed to the previous GoW games. Hell yeah!

  • OMG, this game was the shit when I was younger. I played it so much with friends that we had to slowly figure all of this out as well as all the other stuff. Brings back good memories watching this :)

  • papy land.... cool i never see this before.

  • seem to SNES level picture.

  • The developers are evil ass mofos

  • 0:27 CHECKPOINT! scared the hell out of me

  • S.F. Rush Extreme Racing Called Papy Land

Rush 2 Extreme Racing U.S.A Called Stunt

  • Do a video of all the different cars and you costomizing them :-) plz

  • Awesome!! Never knew about this level!! -gets out N64 and Rush- =D

  • lmao, I had forgotten all about this! I discovered it while key hunting back when I was very young.. ah.. those were the days :)

  • HOLLY SHIT!!!! LOOLOLOL I neve seen this part before I didn't even know there was secrets like that in the game nice.....and I never liked this track :d

  • Incredible, I remember only that you entered the underground, but that Papy Land did not know, because it is too high. Just now saw it, realized it was EXACTLY the missing key! I remember I was angry because he was a game that was not 100%, just for that key.

    Amazing job!

  • 10y ago iv been playing this and i still remeber this secret place^^ i rly hope there gone be a game like this soon agin...

  • la rush was very disapointing. sf rush was much much better and i would spend 100 bucks if there would be any fresh game like this.

  • I haven't noticed before that there was a hidden key in the second floor, thanks...

  • I NEVER got to the top level. Thank you for finally fulfilling my dream.

  • 1:20 would happen to me every time!! And then it restarts you outside the area!

  • its because you died while blinking. you can double die i guess if you know what i mean

  • Wish there were more games like Rush where cars instantly explode if they turn upside-down.

  • DAMN DUDE that place is insane!!! 5 stars

  • yeah i remember if you blow up twice in a row too fast it will send you back outside. me and my brother and friends played in there so much that we even named the jumps LMAO...i need to pull ou tthe n64 and play this one day

  • yo tengo esa misma y apuesto a que lo descubri antes que ti

  • haha, i used to drive around in there with the low gravity cheat

  • hahaha i remember that i wass messing around and i found it and... i get bored because i cannot do nothing more than make circles yn that kind of pipe XD

  • omg I thought I knew about all of the hidden areas in rush, this is the only one I don't think I ever found on my own

  • Why is it called Papy Land?

  • I don't know WHY but I know it IS called that, I remember this game from it's original release and I recall at the time we found it, we also found out it was called Pappy Land from some video game magazine

  • Ot could be after one of the developers or the guy who found it originally.

  • All I know is it took me forever to find this and it was just an accident, but I didn't have internet access then really and it was very hard to find info about it at the time.

  • With the three rush games on the N64, this one brings back the fondest memories. I remember (now mind you [and holy crap I sound like a Brit.] I'm 23) back in the day putting in the "auto-abort disable" and no time limit codes and then having a blast with my friends seeing who could do the most insane stunt and land it. It's the same thing with Metal Warriors on the SNES - going further back in time, lol.

  • i never knew about that and they should give you wings like rush 2049

  • Too bad you don't have wings...

  • omg i remember getting there but dont remember how i found it

  • wow! i have never knew that place!

  • haha, me either. i look forward to trying that out.

  • i remember playing this and rush 2049, there some of the greatest racing i've ever played on the 64

  • how did u know the name?

  • Good job, also are you going to do key guides on San Francisco Rush?

  • what screen capturer did you use?

  • It was recorded from a real N64 using an ATI TV Wonder card.

  • Isn't "Papy Land" written on a wall somewhere? How else would everyone know what it is called? My cousin showed me this when he was like ten years old, and he referred to it as Papy Land.

  • I've never seen it written anywhere in the game. I don't know who it was that originally named it "Papy Land", but it was named after the guy who designed the level, Todd Papy.

  • I just have no idea how my ten-year-old cousin knew what it was called... maybe he read about it in Nintendo Power or something.

  • Reminds me of Mappy land for some reason (nes game).

  • yeah i remember how i found it the first time: ive drivn down the mountain at the sea and then i saw the brown rocks of this cave´s entry. i said to my brother "look, there is a dead fox (for me it looks like this^^), so i drove to the entry and i saw this cave xD ....(sry my english is bad i come from germany but i hope you can understand it :D)

  • i was 7 or 8 years when i found it the first time :D

  • I remember this place! Damn its been over ten years since i have seen it. Good Times

  • Zakk Wyldes' Car!

  • can you get here in the playstaition version?

  • didn't you see the 2 secret keys???

  • I was in practice mode and the original Rush doesn't let you collect keys in practice mode.

  • Yeah, there is a secret underground stunt track similar to this in San Francisco Rush 2049. Select Track 2 (backwards), then as soon as you start, take a right, go forward, survive the 180 degree flip, then take a left through the door, and there you go. If you don't understand, I'll try to post a video or someone else might.

    Best done w/ cheat codes

  • That one really was the Papy Land of 2049... really fun to mess around in!

  • how do you found this spot?!?!

  • I got a perfect shot at 1 19 and 3 00.

  • I used to go here all the time.Me and my friend would do crazy shit in there.

  • i knew about this like 3 years ago its so fun i go there every time i play the game

  • holy crap, I never knew about this.

  • Hah, my brothers would always go there and screw around. Fun times

  • This game certainly brings back memories. Rush is awesome.

  • hahaha, german engineering in da haus

  • T_T im cring

  • when i fist time found that place (when i was 5years old) i tought i can get out from car and skate somehow lol good memories

  • awsome

  • i wish someone told me about this

  • Who named it "Papy Land"?

  • I don't know who named it that but it was named after the guy who designed it, Todd Papy.

  • This use to be my favorite racing game and that use to be one of the only tracks i used because of the secret. man i hope this is eventually put on the wii VC.

  • You didn't actually need the no time limit code because you're in practice.I know because the key did'nt FLY away whaen you hit it.

  • NOTE ON RESURRUCT IN PLACE CHEAT:If you resurruct in place you will be returned back to the track if you crash while the car's still flashing.

  • Most importantly: if you hold B after you explode, you will hover in place (in midair before you would normally be dropped down) until you let go of B. So hold B until you stop flashing and you'll land on your wheels every time. No more double exploding.

I don't know if this has been mentioned before. And to be fair, I had no idea this place was called Papy Land.

  • thanks for posting this. and what do you mean you used codes to remove the time limit? how do you use cheat codes?

  • You're welcome. The time limit code is entered by going to the Setup menu screen, then holding down the Z button and pressing and holding the C-down then the C-up buttons and then release the C-buttons only. Then press and hold the C-up then C-down buttons and you should hear the sound that happens when you move into first place during a race. For other codes go to gamefaqs dot com and search for San Francisco Rush.

  • thank you so much! i've had this game for almost 10 years now and still havent beaten it...:[

  • On the internet. Heres how to remove the time limit:

Go to the the setup menu,Hold down Z, Then hold down C-DOWN, Let go ans still hold down Z.Right after letting go of C-Down hit C-UP. If you done it correctly, a clock with a line through it shold appear in the backround somewhere.

  • i mean where on the second track in 2049 is it, KingKyd?

  • wut do the keys do in THIS game?

  • Unlock two extra cars.

  • New cars.

  • i dont think this is true, but i swear i was like the 1st guy to find it. good job though. theres also one in Rush 2049 on the 2nd track

  • where?

  • Man I really miss these days. This game was pure GOLD. The n64 days were the best time I've ever had gaming.

  • clever, thanks

  • thanks for the answer. these are some cool videos. im going to have to guess that you used an emulator to produce thes videos as it's harder to get a camcorder to center on a tv or let alone, get flicker caught in the video.

  • Thanks! But no emulators are used in any of my videos, my computer isn't fast enough to run an emulator and the capture software at the same time. I hook the audio/video outputs of my TV up to a video capture card in my computer and capture the video that way.

  • How did you get the name Papy Land for it? I remember that area. It had several keys I believe. Do you have to finish a race to keep the keys or can you run out of time and keep them still?

  • Papy Land is what I've always seen it called. It was named after Todd Papy, who is the guy who designed the track. And you don't have to finish a race to keep any keys you find. In fact you can even quit the race and still keep any keys you found. I think if you turn off the power or reset the N64 before exiting a race you'll lose any keys you found, though.

  • Nice video. For your Track 4 video (which I assume you'll make eventually) I would suggest showing some stunts in the area near the starting line, especially jumping over the building.

  • Thanks! The track 4 video will be coming soon. I've been trying to practice for it because I totally suck at most of the jumps on that track.

  • Nice video, for your Track 4 video (which I assume you'll do at some point), I would suggest showing of the stunts you can do near the starting line, especially the big jump where you can go over a building.

  • Hahaha. Neat! I had no idea this was here.

  • Me Neither!
