What it really comes down to is smart government. They can spend money on things, but it should be stuff that's actually a necessity, like defense. I'm struggling to think of a reason for anyone to be against free healthcare. The rich here in the UK can still pay for private service, with little or no wait for ops, better food etc, and anyone with a mid-to-high-end job has a medical plan/insurance as part of the deal. Far too many of Carlos' critics are quick to shoot the messenger before fully understanding the message being delivered and the timely reason behind it.
I'd probably would have given Carlos four stars for the video's creativity and five stars for his courage in doing it despite knowings what the below negative comments would claim. My only complaint is that this wonderfully creative video was all to brief!

it don't matter how hard times are. It's not up to the rest of the nation to be focred by the government to pay anyones way through life. if it takes putting what you own in a car and moving. Pretty much how we did it years ago. move to a better place in these big nation and started all over. yes we were on welfare, but for 1 year. Then my mom got a job, I worked and put every penny I maked into the home. I was the old son of 9 kids. mom and dad had splitted up.

Its socialism. Communism is where the one leader (or very few people in office) manage this entire Medicare system.
We have more than a few hundred people in charge of Medicare, even though Obama is the president, all he has the rights to do is write bills and veto new laws.

When you decide to throw in with a particular corporation and all those employees work for the betterment of the corporation that is socialism. Socialism in the classic sense is simply a worker's liberation movement. It's the idea that workers should have democratic control over production. They may use the state as an apparatus for change but they overwhelmingly agree that it is part of the problem and that it aids the rich, and that there would be no need for a state eventually.
Sweden has "socialistic" policies, but it's actually a good example of capitalist economy. It practices global trade and has many inequalities.

I am saying social programs are good to have. We have a public fire & police department. We have public parks, roads & schools & post office. We have social security. These are all social programs. @maniacbastard Yes!!! Let's give people a choice and let THEM decide with who and when to invest their own money and stop forcing them to give away their money to govt. Govt. has already blown the entire social security account and can't pay all that money back.
