Why cant you put in a simple hand trigger and concealed wire to operate the brakes? you have an awesome product, I like how the two feet are linked for stability and serpentine motion to accelerate. but what of going on fast turns and knowing you will slip if you do anything but keep the curve and tuck and rolling is bad at the moment? the brake should be more pronounced on the trailing wheel.

@Pimpmastahanhduece. Like longboarding, it's better to build your braking skills instead of adding a break. most riding is on flat ground so you can jump out of most situations if you don't know how to break. But for the ultimate in breaking you have to learn how to powerslide. You can see an example of this at the end of the Skatecycle world video (after logo shot).

@BrooklynWorkshop again, going fast along a sharp turn, i can jump, right over the railing or into it, or i can powerslide into it. Besides, the user should be able to disconnect the wire and hand trigger with a screwdriver, letting the built in braking mechanism rest at neutral.

@ThaDRx Our patent (2002) precedes the Ripstick, Orbit wheels, and Freeline skates. Without money backing like Razor, the Ripstick, it took us longer to market. Orbit wheel are inferior knock-off of Freeline Skates (admitted by the developer). Freelines (which we are fans of) is a different sensation of riding than the Skatecycle but both have roots from the riding technique of the Snakeboard which was way back in the early 90's. But way to be so confident in your ignorance.

@yuart1994 You can only go as fast as you are able through experience so by the time you learn how to get going fast you know how to either 1. Turn away from the direction your going to lose speed 2. Take one foot off. 3. jump off and let it fall. Since it has two wheels it will fall over and not roll away from you. Or 4. When you get really good you can powerslide to stop!

The Skate Cycle looks pretty cool I'm thinking on getting one, but I'm not sure it kinda looks like it moves slow and I'm just wondering if you can go fast with it because you know that way it's easier to get from one place to another. So I guess basically I'm asking does it go fast?Also is it hard to gain acceleration? Please reply.
