I really like how CJ Mackintosh kept the original feel of this song while complimenting the arrangement with additional production. He keeps the original music in the center stage like remixing from yesteryear, this is what is missing from remixing nowadays because it loses sight of the original song. While there is a place for totally overhauling a song, not everything should be overhauled.

This very well could have been my 1st introduction to Good Life (back in 93), or it could even have been the original (once you hear a version, it'll take you back to the source).

It has a tidy piano riff this mix and I like the way it's all kind of stripped down. The Buena Vida En Notias mix is another good un.

Re. fluffy - In many dance records much of the end content (or elsewhere) of the record is filler i.e. it doesn't meant to get played because the DJ has mixed out of the track by then...dance records aren't necessarily for listening to from start > end like Elton John.

I woudn't say I was a big fan of his remixes either, but he does this more than justice IMO.
