In stead he took a bride from the millitary and ran as fast as he could. He was a traitor to Gays in the military. He later died of AIDS, not contracted while in the military. The Australian military abolished discrimination of gays in the military in the military as a matter of affirming national security. There should be no secrets from the military which could undermine its security making it vulnerable. If a soldier is vulnerable by a secret, then this disables the whole unit, as the soldier is susceptible to blackmail. Gay soldiers do a great job, always have since Alexander the Great.

Yes, I agree that being open or closed should not be a secrecy matter. Maybe I put this the wrong way. What I meant to say was that by discriminating and making this an issue connotes guilt and therefore makes the individual vulnerable to blackmail and even vexatious claims of sex abuse. Gay people or LGTBI or who ever identifies thus, need, the same responsibilities as everyone else. The only way to secure this is balancing rights and responsibilities equally. It should not be an issue at all.

There is a great gap between disagreeing with the lifestyle, and banning gays from military service. That's discrimination, and it is against the basic principles of democracy. As for "heterophobia" - there is no such thing. Nor is there a "homosexual cult" that "brainwashes" people. Homosexuals are allowed to serve in the U.S. military as long as they keep their sexual life private. I believe the vast majority of homosexuals are nothing more than perverts trying to justify their perversion. There may not be propaganda intended to demonize heterosexulas, but there is plenty of propaganda trying to enforce the idea that homosexuality is normal behaviour! Don't mention it to your friends. avoid any public displays of affection, you know, like kissing or holding hands or calling each other "darling". In the U.S. Military, members are not allowed any public display of affection (PDA), while in uniform. No kissing, hugging, holdng hands, and so on. This applies to everyone in uniform, so you would not be able to do any of the stuff you mentioned. Keep it at home and no one cares; this applies to all soldiers. As to me, personally, I am not big on any PDA. So, yes I can take it upon myself to act the same way.

My Aunt is homsexual, my Uncle is homsexual, I served with 5 know homosexuals, so your opinion of my opinion is 100% based on ignorance. I, on the other hand, have military experience, as do most Israelis. Funny how we never thought homosexuality in the military was an issue, even as we were fighting for our lives. Did you know the IDF actually throws conventions for LGBT youth, encouraging them to enlist? A soldier speaking of gays the way you do - gets court marshaled.

It's called "economic growth". growth being the key word. Both Vermont and Mass. have gay marriage, either in title or in substance. Economic growth: People get jobs making weapons. They buy stuff. factories making that stuff expand, hiring more people. They buy stuff. etc. etc. Wealth is increasing. Gaza isn't occupied - we left it on 9.12.05. On June 2007 Hamas took over it by force, turned it into a launching pod for its rockets, and attempted to renew the suicide bombing attacks, leaving Israeli no choice but to close the passages to Gaza. Be specific about Israel "using children as human shields" - ? cite one case.

In April 2004, Israeli soldiers used 13-year-old Muhammed Badwan as a human shield during a demonstration in the West Bank village of Biddu. The soldiers tied Badwan to the front windscreen of their jeep to discourage Palestinian demonstrators from throwing stones in their direction. Nice job. The whole world knows that Israel still controls every facet of gaza.

I live in Israel, a country who's survivor depends on it's military. Not only is there no ban on gays in the IDF - the IDF is actively recruiting for them, having recruiting parties for members of the LGBT community. Every servicemember gets an HIV test annually and usually prior to deployment. If straight men aren't having sex with gay men, how is the disease going to spread?
