  • This is definitely one of Disney's most emotional films. Especially with the heaviness in this scene.

  • The 1 person to dislike this probably has more sanity than everyone else.

  • I cried.

  • THIS made me fear bullies before I had ever even encountered one.

  • the scene that goes with this music had me scared shitless when i was a little girl, still kinda creeps me out now when i'm 19.

  • i watch this movie every year 100 times :D

  • @chibignoufs Just 100? I watch it 365 ;D

  • @TheBlahBlahNews every day you defeate me D: XD

  • @chibignoufs -Clopinface- indeed.

  • What really makes this song so brutal is the short reprise of "Out There" at 0:32. It's so sad to realize how right Frollo was about the world (for once) and how totally crushed Quasimodo's expectations were.

  • Quasimodo put a thumb down for this, but I can understand him... Who would want to put a thumbs up for the soundtrack which is played during the time when everyone laughs at your humiliation? However he liked all the other soundtracks :D (especially the one where Frollo drops dead)

  • Agnus Dei

    Qui tollis peccata mundi

    Agnus Dei

    Dona nobis pacem

  • I remember watching this in the cinema when I was 4 or 5 and I literally cried my eyes out at this scene. It was so horrific. Disney was always great for fitting in the dark themes whilst still having that magic Disney feel. They don't make them like this anymore =(

  • At 1:14, does anyone else hear the singing like from 'Glory'? That eerie choir music that they play on the battle scenes? I just watched the movie again recently, and now I hear it in this song!

  • Frollo: How DARE you DEFY me!

  • @RandomHilarityPro When I was a kid, I threw my popcorn at Frollo like "How do you like it, huh?"

  • The guard who first throws something at quasi plays Patrick from spongebob

  • i always played this scene forward...i could never stand seeing poor quasi having to take up all that shit... :(

  • @musicadictor I think Frollo ordered one of his guards to do that....If it wasn't for Esmeralda standing up for him, I don't know what would happen to poor Quasimodo! She's such an angel!

  • @pbscraze yes she most certainly is. she was always my fav character, in all disney that is..

  • @musicadictor Esmeralda: You mistreat this poor boy the same way you mistreat my people! You speak of justice, yet you are cruel to those who are in need of your help!

    Frollo: Silence!!!

    Esmeralda: JUSTICE!!!!!!!! (brutal stuff...!)

  • @pbscraze hell yeah..gives the creepy old man something to think about XP

  • @musicadictor Then Frollo gets his own punishment.....BURNING IN HELL!!!!

  • @musicadictor i dressed as her yesterday for halloween

  • Is this film, the only disney film with some Latin in It? If It Is Its a shame, Latin is such a bewtifull language

  • @sebuniversidad

sadly it is :( and i agree with you, latin is the most beautiful language in the history of the world. without latin, other languages wouldn't have existed.

  • @rapturealamode I'm not sure that's true. It's not even that old of a language, compared to Sumerian and other languages of the Fertile Crescent region.

  • If a disliker ever comes here i know it'll be Quasi.

  • i love the part that esmeralde save's quasi see's so kind and sweet

  • Agnus Dei (Lamb of God)

Qui Tollis Peccata Mundi (Whos rises the sin of the world)

    Agnus Dei (Lamb of God)

Dona Nobis Pacem (Give Us Peace)

  • @VenatorMortem and Agnus Dei is also the title of a song by Michael W. Smith

  • tumbs up fore if you was there you help quasi

  • @chibignoufs Does helping Quasi also including the chance to defy Frollo? The most important thing is ending cruel injustice and helping a fellow human being of course, but speaking the truth like that would also be great. Hooray for Esmeralda, who was able to do both!

  • i cired at this scene :'( poor quasi

  • @RoseOfTransylvania And Mulan!

  • Disney doesn't make music like this creepy and eerie feeling anymore

  • @lotten16 tis the sad truth :(

  • Anyone who has ever been harrassed or bullied can relate to the scene where Quasi is teased. I was a victim of vicious bullying when I was a child, except I didn't have an Esmeralda to come and help me. It still haunts me to this day. Recently, my best friend asked me what it was like and I played this for him. He told me he would've been my Esmeralda had he known me at the time.

  • @janeyrevanescence12 I've been in the same boat. I know what it feels like to humiliated and to be bullied as well. I think all of us victims would be one another's Esmereldas. Glad to know I'm not the only one whose been through it.

  • Are you sure this is the whole thing? It doesn't have that part at the end with "Out There" in a minor key while Quasi is returning to the church. D:

  • This music is so beautiful...but I can't help but feel like I'm going to cry every time I see this scene. :(

  • with only the music, I just know what scene it is :(, poor Quasi

  • When I was a child, I didn't understand why the people changed their behavior so suddenly. I take emotions at face value and can't see under the surface.

When the people were nice to him and then mean I remember being confused when I watched this movie as a kid.

    Thank you for uploading these!

This song is sad and a little scary, but at the end I think was when Esmeralda came and that's a sweet part that I'm glad they used over and over for the soundtrack.

  • thank you so much for doing this! (:

  • This scene made me so pissed - and the music ALONE just makes me sad

  • Love this song but one of the darkest scenes ever O.o this music tells it without needing words

  • @PrueStar The latin chorus says something like "Lamb of God, give us Peace"

To tell the truth, this movie and the music are so touching.

  • @PrueStar Darkest scenes ever? Ive seen darker... alot darker. Watership Down, The Plague Dogs, Felidae and those are just some of the cartoons.

  • excellent, one of my favorites!

  • I♥HoND!
