I have an 8800 OC from BFG in my other computer, what CPU you got though, i htink that is the bigger thing, i am runing it on a Intel e6750 2.66, and when I am at school I run it on y laptoip, which has a 2.8 and an ATI 5700 mobility and it runs fine and looks good on that, not as good as the Desktop, but still good
and iRacing is a Great simulation, much better than anything else out there, and it also has the best customer support of anything I have ever delt with
Iracing is the best sim outthere.. ive played most of the sims EXCEPT GPL which i heard was the best one before iracing came around... the track realism is very nice, and cars feel as close to real as it can get behind a screen ..now i just need some more european stuff , tracks , cars. so i can use the track part for testing pre season..
Sounds great. Was it you driving? You seemed the the only one who had a good handle on the car. I love the bumps too, so realistic. Would love to try this game but need a better wheel.
Thanks for the comments. Ya that was me driving, but I think I was in the back trying to get to the front. I always get smoked by the fast guys up front, lol. Ya, I would def. recommend you get into iRacing - it's a blast. Im just using a $50 MOMO Wheel / Pedals.
Takes a little practice to get to that car and race like that but the Journey is fun on the way up through the ranks. When you do get there watch out for Blackout690. He is not afraid to use the Bumper. :) Started with a Microsoft FF and won a few so most wheels work. G27 is a good buy though even though it is kinda pricey.
Yeah, starting off in Legends cars should be fun. Late Models look fun too. Would an 8800gt max this game out? Graphics are the least of my worries but it would be a bonus :)
Well, Im running a GTX 285 and it seems to work well, but there are times when I have slight Frame Rate drops. If you want to max out iRacing completely, your gonna need a pretty powerful computer. Most people just run the sim with decent settings and it still works fine.
a7x5631 heres the thing if you had iracing and could see the forms overs there, there is a lot of stuff for sale.. some wheels and every thing. couple guys have the g25 for sale. mine will be for sale when i find a g27 in stores....
I have 8800GT OC edition, that is, its factory overclocked and iRacing runs great with it.
I have all maxed and no stuttering noticed.
What comes to the wheel, you might want to look Logitech Driving Force GT, WAAY better than MOMO and it should be under 100 dollars in US also as it is in EU.
Ewertjoe, he doesn't have a "problem". Since the car is for turning left, the chassis is designed to pull to the left, so you have to countersteer to go straight. Removing that just makes the car slower through the corners.
I don't have iRacing just yet...I'm anxiously awaiting the day when I can afford all the shit I need for it. But knowing a fair amount about racing, I couldn't help but notice you were turning right to keep it straight down the frontstretch and backstretch. Have you tried screwing around with the seetup? Try adjusting pressures and/or camber? That might fix your problem. Although since you have a Cup car in iRacing, I'm guessing you're on top of things. Just thought I'd chime in!
I took an on-board video of a real Cup car at Atlanta - and dubbed in the sound to the iRacing video. Since the track/speeds are identical, the 'dubbing' synched up nearly perfect.
Unstable? Have u tried this game? If u have force feedback on u feel every bump in the road. I thought nr2003 was realistic until I played this. Best game ever made. Sorry, best simulation ever made
Completely agree. I am a child of NR2003 as well, and i don't even want to play it anymore. This is HANDS DOWN the best racing "sim" there has ever been.
Why does your FOV look like it's set to 300 lol.

does the iracing software actually talk like that and tell you clears and all?
spartan117d7 6 months ago
the engine sounds 100% like the real ones do
Daytona5001979 1 year ago
haha you took those from matt kenseth onboard, right?
Would be cool to see roof cam video of this car at atlanta.
Only cockpit everywhere 24/7, would be great if you could do that.
Nice vid btw, sound rocks!

$50? wow that's pretty cheap. I can't find any good sites that sell decent racing wheels for cheap. How much do the monthly plans go for?
a7x5631 2 years ago
Sorry to double post but I found the MOMO wheel and pedals for $70 on CompUSA. Which doesn't seem too much. Just wish it had a clutch pedal.

The setup isnt wrong or anything. The car is actually driving sideways. In NASCAR we call that crabbing. Iracing does a great job with this feature.
