ah i did my horizontal hood myself as well as my nipples. wasn't too bad but i hear the septum is the worst! about to attempt it though! only problem i face is i tend to go slow when i'm doing it myself, ending up with more pain while when it's someone else it's a quick process. gonna try and just shove it through though haha, just hoping i make sure it's straight

I think thats for most people, They start to go slow because they get nervous I know when i tried to Pierce my septum my hand was shakey So i gave up &* when to a professional But I think it's awesome you did the other ones ^^ Those piercings are cool:D

@xthelostnekox yeah i definitely get cases of shaky hands. i had to have my nipples tapered to 14 gauge rather than 16g i initially put in, and decided to go to a shop to have it done..they charged $20 just to change jewelry that i was providing, so that was the end of going to shops for anything and i continued to do my own holes lol. thank you though. honestly thought about taking out the hood piercing, but the ball was giving me too much of a trouble unscrewing

If you want to make sure you succeed without complications: clamps (preferably septum-clamps for the septum and normal clamps for the labret), gloves and surgical soap.

it's completely risk-free, no way of harming yourself :)

@krazykarla77 i can't really answer that, coz it's all about how good your body is at healing wounds. it would be a greater infectionrisk to flip it up and down all the time, but if you got good 'healing-flesh', then it'll be alright. i've never had an infection, so i don't really need to look after my piercings, and some people get infections real easy.

so i'd suggest that you stay safe and wait ;), it'll be more awesome to reveal it then too ;)

I'm not exactly sure about the dollarprice, but the clamps cost around 15-20 $, sterilised needle 4 $ and jewellery about 7 $, which is less then half of what you pay to get it done proffessionally. And if you skip the clamps it's even cheaper, but i recommend using real septum-clamps. Clamps make it a lot easier, promise. And you can always reuse the clamp, infinite amount of times, so it pays for itself.:)

@POWPOWandLAINGLAING if you've got septum clamps, it all becomes real easy, just try and hold the clamps as straight as you can, and in the front of your nose, as far out as possible. Don't worry about hitting the sweet spot, if you hit where the skin is thicker, the healing time might be a bit longer, but it actually hurts less and gives a more stable feel to the piercing. as far as being able to 'flick it up', it's all about the size of your nostrils and ring, just place it forward in the nose
