  • they completely ruined the ending of this classic ride with a silly cartoon that wasn't even good

  • to-Neucrew how did your son to be part of spaceship earth? hey did everyone know that there is a speacker it thr telitphone scean at thr top

  • well, i havent seen the new additions in person yet. im going in june, i hope that it didnt ruin the classic atmosphere of spaceship earth.

  • I hate the new scenes. The one in the giant laboratory makes me feel like I'm in a cheap, plastic doll house; the music does not fit with the rest of the attraction.

  • I was amazed at some of the increased mobility and movement of the audio animatronics. It used to be that they would make very few, small movements, and now, they make incredible, fluid motions. I'm amazed. It was kind of weird hearing a woman's voice narrating, but I'm glad the original narration wasn't entirely altered. And the new room?! Holy moly, it looked so real. Not bad, though. Thanks for posting! :)

  • My son is the voice saying extra extra read all about it

  • we went there on december 8-15 of 2007 and it was cool but we got stuck at the part just about going backwards.

  • I like Judi Dench's narration quite a bit.

Overall, the new narration, music, animatronics, and show scenes are improvements over the previous versions (not that there was anything wrong with the previous versions).

I'm guessing the descent tunnel/video segment isn't finished. It'll be interesting to see the finished product.

  • The new show scenes are rich and detailed, and the new music is uplifting and beautiful; reminiscent of the old Epcot Center. So, I like it.

Anyway, are the cartoon characters in the video eventually going to look like us, the passengers, once everything is working? Is that why they scan our faces in the beginning?

  • Good job on the video. Audio on this ride is always a bear. Too bad you didn't have much to work with on this second part. Thanks for putting it up so quick.

  • I have serious doubts that ANYTHING on the ride will be changed. Why would Siemans want anything to be added to the end portion of the ride when it's CLEAR that they want you LOOKING AT THE VIDEO SCREEN? For the most part, I think the final product is right in front of you. and, did anyone notice Siemans getting their mention (twice) in the departing message? This Corp. sponsorship movement for theme parks, etc, is just on big commercial being shoved down our throat...and I'm gagging on it.

  • AMEN!

  • Okay...the lady's voice is obnoxious. Jeremy Irons voice is so much better. That ending was just sickening. I'm disappointed.

  • It was very nice but I really didn't like the ending to be honest.

  • Also, I don't know if anyone has answered this yet or not, but how do they incorporate the photo they take of you at the beginning of the ride? I though I heard somewhere that they use it at the sequence at the top when you see the Earth I think, but I'm not sure since it wasn't working I guess.

  • I just rode Spaceship Earth today and I agree with everyone that the first half of the ride is amazing especially the cavemen sequences. The animatronics move so fluidly and the upgrades have created a very new feeling to the ride while preserving what I love about it. I didn't mind Judi Dench as narrator, but the ending is such a letdown. I had pictured an updated version of Horizons technology, but instead we get an anti-climatic ending. I'm keeping my fingers crossed that they fix this by Feb.

  • the ending stinks!!! What's with the screen?? How boring is that?? if they keep that ending they will have ruined a great ride!! It wouldn't be as bad if they keep the screens and add in something to look at for people like me and kids.. I have a young kid and they would hate the second half.. and why couldn't they keep the old music??

  • Overall I am very impressed with the improvements, and the improvements to the communication tunnel. I would have liked to have seen 3D models, and other visual stimuli during the last segment of the attraction. Siemens is an amazing company that produces so many innovative products: windmills, RFID chips, MRIs, communication lines, transportation systems. Why not illustrate those products, rather than show a movie in a dark tunnel at the end.

  • what did I just watch? this was utterly forgettable. The score sounded ok, but did not seem to have the same flow as the previous one. The narration was... irritating...

So much for being mystified by SSE. Hopefully we are not witnessing the final product.

  • Wow, what a major letdown once the last part of the ride starts. The Jetsons style cartoon was insultingly bad. I'd like to see a vision of a realistic future, not a 50s-60s era retro-future with flying cars. And it's a waste of ride time.

  • I agree. I think the touchscreen part was really cool and Epcot-like, but when Judi Dench said, "Your future is just about ready!" It all went downhill (ha ha! It is downhill!) from there.

  • I am alittle disappointed that the second half of the ride is just a big dark tunnel but we still have until Febuary until it offically opens. Maybe they will take that time to fill in the rest even if it is only some neon lights and funky looking cities.

  • I'm so sad they removed the fiber optic "city" towards the end...that just royally sucks. :(

  • its the WOZ not steve JOBS I was lied to!

  • oh yeah, Is there AT ALL a choice for other languages?

Not everyone who goes to Epcot speaks English, and with the screen, they could maybe pick their language and have the screen subtitle in their respective language the narration as well as translated questions.

  • That feature will be added by the time spaceship earth officially opens in february

  • I hope there's promise for future updates to the ride concerning the screen.

I see great potential for it to show supplemental clips during scenes, to even simply subtitles to the narration, both of which are not there and would be great.

Ending could definitely get an update...

    Thanks for sharing!

  • Put me down for EXTREMELY disappointed. First, I really don't like the new narration. The script itself is weak and has lost the elegance it previously had, and Judi Dench (that's who the voice is) doesn't work for me either. Then the last five minutes of the ride are spent watching a TV screen? What the heck?!?! Bring back the previous version with Jeremy Irons!

  • So...they ripped out the entire second half of the ride for video screens to show a run down of the ride you're currently still on and customized Jetsons episodes brought to you by Siemens products. Consider me massively disappointed.

  • "I do know it will be quite an adventure." Could she possibly say that with any less interest or enthusiasm?

  • Thanks very much for this! I like the interactive nature of it, but is the last half of this ride really just watching TV? And are they portraying the future to look like the Jetsons??

  • Excellent job, Jose! Thanks so much for putting this up so quickly!

  • Love the interactive stuff. Makes me think of Horizons.
