I don't think they are trying to be politically correct. The term "gay" came waaaayy before the term "transgenderism" reached the shores of the Philippines, so the name stayed even though they are TECHNICALLY trannies. It's like calling all brand of toothpaste "colgate" or all colas "Coke".
