  • thought it was about to turn into a pretty pink top !

  • gorgeous hair

  • it lookes like a tank top

  • she posted this vid on my birthday last year! lol.

  • at firs i thought it was a top cuz i missed the part u stiched it ! lol

  • Omg good idea!

  • wow you have really nice long hair lucky! :)

  • I would go to JoAnne Fabrics and purchase some wooden dowl handles and use them instead of makeing the handles leather like the skirt. That way it would be more durable and less tacky. Great idea though!

  • love it but it kinda looks like a shirt , but like i said i LOVE it.. :)

  • Heyyyy Giannyl. Firstly i really love your work, its easy and to the point.

I just wanted to request you to please help me with the sewing machine, I dont know how to set tension and stitch length for different materials. also please give some tips for beginners.

  • ummm, wat if you dont wear skirts? and i personally think this would be a waste because then you have to buy all new skirts douring that season when they are popular.

  • Ohh, I was so relieved when you used it as a bag, I thought U would use it as a top!

  • I love your videos Giannia... Can I ask you to do something for me? Can I get you to show me how to make a short sleeve cropped cardigain with flowers on it.... My mom has one and I love it... It would be great if you could do this for me... Thank you!!! :)

  • Gianny...... I have been watching all your videos and I am like :0 because my husband just bought me a sewing machine and I just learned by myself how to make pillow cases.... but when I saw your videos.......... you turned on my inner light bulb..... you are awesome indeed.... God bless you ...congrats..

  • very nice. i might change the handles a bit. I kind of think they look to "boxy". but well done!

  • i love how you recycle!! im such a big fan of your videos!

  • cuute. AHAH lol, i thought this was gonna be a tanktop at first

  • @kristelleS2 me too lol

  • how long did it take you to grow your hair that long or has it always been that long its so pretty :)

  • wow, very creative!

  • try thrift/second hand stores for an inexpensive skirt- we call it upcylcling

  • Dang! I had a skirt just like that in burgandy that I just gave to Goodwill. I wish I had known!

  • I luv these vids, espcially the one of the leggings.

  • oh my goodness; you are so creative :x

    i'm jealous.

    very nice (:

  • I luv the idea! A girl can't have enough purses and bags!

  • well sorry, but i don`t like it, becouse it`s too big. maybe you have to cut it a littlebit.

  • Thanks to ALL OF YOU for all the comments and suggestions.Your feedback whether is positive, negative, or neutral is very important because it helps me in many ways.I truly appreciate them.

"If this idea was useful for at least ONE PERSON my purpose had been achieved " :)

  • you should if made the straps skinnier but i love it

  • I would have liked to see her sew the handles after folding the raw edges in instead of gluing. I also agree with what clazluvsdolphins said about squaring the bottom.

Yes, mad4mileygirl, you CAN use a tank top, but you would want to actually use TWO for strength. Sew them together at the hems and then just turn one right-side out and (if you want) sew the neck and armhole openings shut.

But this is a good jumping-off point for people to start with.

  • CUTE!

  • skillz to pay the billz... nice job :)

  • and to save some $....Thanks :)

  • i think you ruined the skirt but props for creativity

  • If you turn it inside out and sew diagonally across the corners, you square them off, giving it a better shape... but the straps can be whatever thickness you choose

  • What type of fabric was it? i think that it was diff. but thats y u posted it im sure? Y would we wana c what we already know how to make? give her a break pple !i!i!

  • its an old leather skirt one of my friends had,was kind of old fashion so I thought on turn it in something I would really use. Thanks for your comment :)

  • @GiannyL

holaaaa staaaa muy lindo :D... pero podrias hacer un vestido con volantes hasta la rodilla plisssss!!!! thank you */*/*/*/*/*/* *.*

  • Not so creative. It looks weird.

  • i thought it was going to be a pillow case at first lol

  • was a good idea, but the handles looked weird.

  • @makeuptoya

lol you can always cut off the handles and replace em.

  • Gawwjuush

  • make clothessss

  • mehh....

  • i like it =) ive done the same thing but w/some old jeans i had, it looked nice cuz i put some pearls and atheer cute stuff i liked it

  • I'll be looking at thrift store skirt in a whole new way now.

  • at first i thought it was gonna be a shirt lol. i like the idea but it should of been inside out for so it actually looks like a bag. and the straps should have been more on the outer part not so much in the middle.

  • I love it!! How creative!

  • sorry but...EW

  • Done something like this before (:

But looks better if you turn the skirt kinda around so the seams will be down the side, not in the middle, so it will hang like a proper bag.

  • i think that your earlier work is better than the later ones...

  • Very cute... although I would only do this if I lived somewhere where either skirts were really cheap or tote bags are really expensive.

  • I agree with you and I get your point, although this ideas are intended to help with recycling and reusing anything you have in the house spending just a little money or even nothing. Thanks for your comment,I appreciate it :)

  • @GiannyL Great idea. You can get these skirts in the thrift stores for 2.00 and make a great suede or leather bag. I have my granddaughter hooked on your videos too.

  • the bag would look nice but different handles b:/

  • no offence but this isnt some of your best work

  • Since you're such an expert, then why don't you upload a video of something better???

  • ditto

  • alicehonglily i agree now some of her best work

btw cant u just use a tanktop???

  • you can definetely use a tank top,but since this skirt is leather and a little old fashion I thought a bag would be the best way to take advantage of.Thanks for your comment :)

  • love it

  • love it but i will try some otherway the handles seem strange were their placed . ... idk maybe its just me...still like the idea

  • @bmaggyt thats probably why it's unique because they handles are placed where they are. that and other reasons.

  • wow!! amazing you very talented

  • love it...

  • wow great job!!!

  • fail!

  • lol :o)

  • Interesting

  • Nice
