No it's not necessarily a comedy, but it documents woman's perception of hair, and what 'good hair' means? The topic is controversial but the documentary is very insightful & interesting, to me at least.
@Dswizzle90 Well not flat iron, she got it done at a salon, but yeah it's VERY temporary, it's only been a few days and it's already starting to curl back up again.

@pbg98pbgpbg98pbg That's so absurd. Straightening her hair has nothing to do with putting a damper on her identity as far as being white or black; Its just styling her hair. : /
@Daise772 I totally agree with you. Everything isn't always black or white. When a mixed person wears their hair curly, no one says they are tryin to forget their white culture. Something so innocent as straightening a kids hair for a period of time is turned into something so cynical. And they wonder why we have the racial divide and color lines.
@pbg98pbgpbg98pbg Well, she said she wants her hair straight so that she can look more like Mommy, soooo ... no, we're not teaching her to dislike her Black identity. It's just easier to manage and it doesn't hurt when we comb it.
