Not brutality, but there was a very large lack of communication apparently, where a portion of the police department decided to arrest whoever they could grab, while every other officer just let them go.

Thats basically what happened. You ran into a group of officers that had little to no experience handling a situation like this. From what I've heard from my faculty friends in the athletic department, they didn't have much of a plan to handle the rush. Hence, you see the confusion of these officers.

I can see both sides views about rushing the field, but when it comes down to it, there was no prudent reason to body slam that kid.

I've had one....a power drunk cop who pulled me over because for all I could tell he was just having a bad day. He had no reason to pull me over and did nothing but bully me around and threaten to "take me in". Umm...Theres no excessive force in this video. When you are in custody, it is not the time to be conducting an interview with your buddy holding the camera, that is why she told him to put his head on the ground. Nobody was punched or kicked in this video. Being under arrest is not a joke. The time to argue whether or not you should have been arrested is at court..not in the field. The Officers were told to stop people from running on the field. The students were told not to run on the field.

ECU students did absolutely nothing wrong - it was a huge win for us and the cops had no right to beat the crap out of kids or arrest them for just celebrating. Funny how nobody was getting hurt UNTIL the cops stepped in...once again, a big bravo. Way to earn those badges.
