  • Where does it ask 4 ur credit card details

  • Thank u so MUCH!!! I was really wondering

  • do they take 25% of how much i sell my album ?

and if nobody bought nything do i lose money ?

  • Is the fee $10 per year per song or per account?

  • @jurrien75 It is per song.

  • I just made a account and would I b allowed to put my nickname as my artist name for my singles or albums ?

  • so if i want to upload a song must i pay or is it for free ?

  • @GossipAminat Uploading a song is free. They do not charge for that. What they charge for is distributing your music to various music retailers like iTunes. that 10 dollars.

  • Does Tunecore get a percentage of what you make?

  • @321jcjcjc For every song that is sold for .99 cents, you will get about .70 cents from the sale. the other 29 cents is given to Apple and Tunecore.

  • Is a Mac required?

  • @bpl711 No a Mac is not required.

  • @pupsikboi what if i wanna put songs for free... do i still have to pay

  • @wisambasil you cant put it up for free but catapult is the cheapest out of all. Tuncore steals money.

  • Must i pay for anything I do ? Or is everything for free ???

  • um i no itunes does it,i wish to put vid on itunes not music

  • What??? Pay to Tunecore an anual fee to stay for sale????? Are you joking?????

  • is it twocore or two core?

  • @theredboys15 tunecore

  • @theredboys15 Tunecore

  • I am an anonymous composer who is singing her songs...may I sell them? they are registered in Sacven ..I do not want to be a singer...i just want others to sing them or do I need professional singers and videos?

  • @pupsikboi what happens if I uploaded a song that's not originally mine, like if I covered a song from a famous artist and I wanted to put it on itunes?

  • What country do i have to be in where Large cups of coffee are equivelent to currency? I have new plans for a vacation to coffeeville!

  • Do I need to pay an annual fee to keep my music on iTunes with Tunecore?

  • @SupernothingTK There is no annual fee. What you pay each year is the album or single itself to stay for sale.

  • @pupsikboi I'm not sure I understand. I'm asking if I need to pay every year in order for my music to stay on iTunes. Is that true?

  • @SupernothingTK Yes, it's a renewal fee you have to pay to keep your music for sale on iTunes. the fee is annually and it 9.99 per year from the day you posted the song.

  • @pupsikboi Isn't that the exact same thing? (just wondering)

  • @ShererGuitfiddle Yes I agree it is.

  • Ok i have 2 questions

1.) can you sell songs from the UK

2.) if so, how do u upload to public sale?

  • @DOCTORWHOMAGICMOVIES Although from another country, songs owned by other artists from a different country require conset prior to selling. If allowed, the songs may be uploaded via Tunecore's website. From there you can choose which outlets to sell through. iTunes Amazon etc.

  • How about if I do covers? Is that considered an infringement of copyright?

  • @ShaphynaNacqiar even covers must be given the go ahead from the record label. Find a way to contact them and ask them if it is ok to use their material. I wouldnt want to take any chances with this.

  • is it free to upload songs ?

  • @TIZOMusic Yes. To upload your song is free. However, when you are ready to "sell" your song, that will cost you money to do.

  • thnxxxx a ton for this tutorial!!! I'll be selling mine too!!!

  • Thank You.. Very Helpful !!

  • If u use the same background track as another song but with your own lyrics is it legal?

  • @ridafett133 That would be consider sampling. Sampling is very common in the hip hop industry. However, most sampling done these days is now done with the permission of the original owner. So yes, you would need to get consent first before releasing your music. My advice to you would be to go ahead and make the song, and when its done, try and get the original owner to listen to it and then perhaps you can get a green light.

  • @pupsikboi that is not sampling, that is ripping off, to sample something you need to take a small looped section of the song, like a main riff or hook, if you use anymore than that you risk copyright infringement and thats no effin good xD, allot of the time, they wont really care unless your going to be making money off of the track your putting out.

  • @EmptySun Yes I forgot to mention that detail. It has to be no more than a few seconds to be considered sampling. If its the entire length of the song, that is just stealing..

  • Hi there, im curious to know, do u get payed from iTunes? 1.) If so, how?, 2.) if so, how much money?

  • @DOCTORWHOMAGICMOVIES You get paid about 70 cents per every 99 cents sold

  • @pupsikboi Thanks, do you know how to get your music on itunes and if/how much it costs to upload it

    Thankyou :)

  • ***This is a warning to all viewers*** Please do not try to use copyrighted material from other artists unless you have consent from the label. Recently I have had people tell me tunecore is a scam only to find out that they were trying to sell music that was already owned by other artists. Please try and make YOUR own music.

  • @pupsikboi is it free?

  • @USSY405 no

  • @pupsikboi how much is it

  • @pupsikboi how much do u have to pay

  • @GibsonManiac33 10 dollars a song. or 50 dollars an album. Prices have gone up.

  • don't listen to that djrenben his music is copyrighted its all material from other artist remixed

  • @LukMillion its not a scam i used it and it worked! ;)

  • @TheGSPFilms1 prove it....whats your track

  • @LukMillion it not mine it's my friend and im not lying dude my brother also uses it with associations with other record companies with a coupe of his bands my friend took it off because no one bought it lol

  • @JP3RAPS Sounds good

  • @Colbster917 Yes it has to be purchased. Unless you know someone who already has it.

  • @Colbster917 Unfortunately you cannot do that. You will have to talk to your dad about that.

  • Brill thanks

  • I have one question... is this free? I mean when U upload your songs and register? And how do U get ur money?

  • @BladeDayBreak No it is not free. You can either pay per single or per album.

  • I'm confused. When i pay those 9.99 for a single. Can i then upload on single for that amount, or will i be able to upload several singles that year?

  • @TwoMoreFingers That is for one single only.

  • @Colbster917 If the headset comes with a microphone, then yes it should be good for recording some singing. However I would recommend purchasing an entry level professional microphone. They begin at around $100. When I record my singing, I do it with Apple's Garage Band application. Then I import my singing files to FL Studio. FL Studio is a program I use to make music. FL Studio currently works only on Windows computers.

  • @Colbster917 That is my happy voice

  • so how much would it cost me to put a single up?

  • @ZombiesAnMoreZombies they now have their prices clearly displayed on their home page.

  • good video!

  • @mrMikeHawk100 Thank you Mike :)

  • how much does a whole album cost.

  • @BeatBoxno100 It's now 49.99 dollars

  • Awesome video, just signed up, but I was wondering, with the albums/singles ect, on the albums, will people have to buy the full album or can they still buy just a single song from it? :) thanks

  • @RockWithJon If you choose to release an album, people can pic and choose to buy one song if they like.

  • @pupsikboi Thank's

  • Can you sell covers or just original songs? At the same price?

  • @SantinhoLove Covers require consent from the record label that originally produced the song. I would aim for something original :)

  • Cool

  • Liked and favourited

  • @BananaBuddiesTV Thank you Banana

  • @pupsikboi thanks YOU

  • LOL ! wait 4 days and not have any thing

It's just unreleased ( click to finish )

Can who explain for me ?

  • @babylove111hit Sounds like your song might be incomplete. You need to upload song, cover art, choose which stores to sell from, and finally pay tunecore the fee they charge for selling. Please carefully review what could be missing.

  • @pupsikboi i complete everything , but how to fee they charge ?

  • @babylove111hit single is 9.99

  • @pupsikboi pay by what ? credit card or

  • @babylove111hit Visa, Mastercard, Amex, etc.

  • @pupsikboi you knows i don't have money , i need to have a visa card ????

  • @babylove111hit I didn't know you did not have any money. But now I know.

  • @pupsikboi what can i do know , :(( i just want first time my song on itunes, can you help me

  • waiting to avi on itunes

  • do u pay $10 once?

  • so how much do u actuallly pay tune core? and i thought songs were 99 cents on itunes

  • @YaBoiSwagg200 you pay 10 dollars for one song. you get about 70 cents per every 99 cents.

  • okay! i just uploaded a song on iTunes from tunecore! everyone u do have to wait like 2-4 days...thts the sad part :( but once u see ur music on iTunes its worth the wait

  • @Scorpiosign53 LOL! Thats not sad. Back when I made this tutorial, it took a month before it was on iTunes. What is ur song,i want to hear it.

  • @pupsikboi ill send u the link to the iTunes one! it just got up THIS MORNING!! :D FAAAST!!!! and also ill send the longer version

  • The wait time for iTunes has been dramatically shortened. Use to take 4 weeks for it to show on iTunes, now it just takes 2-3 days! Super Cool!

  • Hi I want to know if you can up load a cover song. I am 11 years old and I sing cover song. Thank-you :)

  • @purrykitty100 No. sorry! :( that'd be copyright. And thats against the law. The songs have to be original.

  • Do you have to pay something before uploading the music that you want to sell?

  • @gudbutbad1 uploading and prepping everything is free. When ur ready and feel like you want to get it on iTunes, then that's when you pay.

  • @pupsikboi how much?

  • @pupsikboi like u upload it to iTunes for free n if ur friend want 2 buy it from iTunes thats when u pay???

  • @alexarodriguez1 You will upload your music and cover art (the picture). Then you will select where you want to sell it (iTunes). Then you will submit your music when you ready (Thats when you pay TuneCore). 3-4 weeks later it will be on iTunes. Your friend will have to pay to download you music. You will get 70 cents for every song you sell.

  • @pupsikboi oh ok thx

  • @gudbutbad1 yep -.-

  • Can u sell songs that use loops from music programs like mixcraft 5 and garage band?

  • @edstar26 I haven't personally heard those loops. However it isn't uncommon for many artists to sample sounds from various sources. My personal opinion is that you will be just fine.

  • @pupsikboi thanks. do u wanna keep u posted about the song to see if it is viable to go onto itunes

  • @edstar26 Let me know how it goes.

  • yay can sell my Siberian Husky Singing and my Persian Kitten Meowing PAWSOME + CLAWSOME!

  • @grgsabdallah I personally do not know. But if you search here on youtube or google. I'm sure you can find a way. However! Keep in mind that you will somehow have to jump through many hoops before you can have your music available on iTunes. Good luck to you :)

  • what about dj mixes?

  • @silveradozzz You can definitely go ahead and make a mix of the track. But if you do want to sell it, you would have to notify the record label.

  • Does it ask for any investment while uploading original songs to be sold ?I mean iTunes or TuneCore.

  • @Vanjal You do have to pay in order to sell ur music. But investing in the website, no?

  • Awesome tutorial Thanks! Also you sound kinda like a male version of the scary computer in Portal 1.

  • @iamjonvlog Yes I've noticed all of the comments about the way I talk in this video. My goal was to sound as clear as possible without confusing anyone. I think I may have tried a little too hard lol :D

  • @iamjonvlog So I have been told

  • Good quality and very informative!

  • @TheDelefin :)

  • thank you for the video!!!! :)

  • @lloydpopp13 You're welcome.

  • @ChannonRose follow-up to my last post. Apparently Tunecore is offering the services of a lawyer named Eric Goldberg (google "tunecore copyright" and the link will come up) who will charge you nearly $200 to help you copyright your music. Please note that you are not legally required to use a lawyer to file a copyright application.

  • nice vid man :)

  • @ChannonRose No, Tunecore does not copyright your music for you. You can visit copyright (dot) gov for info on how to copyright music in the US. Please be aware that the copyright process can take a very long time, up to a year, depending on the backlog of applications that the copyright office has to publish.

  • how much to put a single out on itunes?

    Doommaster1994 3 weeks ago

  • What did you say, your music has to be what type of file, .rar is it?

  • @kuxzi same question here , have you got it mate? thanks

  • @kuxzi same question here , have you got it mate? thanks

  • @kuxzi .wav

  • hey so sorry if this off topic but what kind of wifi do u have and where did you get it because im looking for any fast wifi that can speed up my internet and everything. what do u recommend if you dont want to send out the info or what speed is faster( im not a computer type of person thats why)

  • @ryda4life415 I use a Linksys WCG200 Wireless Cable Modem along with a Netgear Wireless N Router.

  • @ChannonRose I haven't read anything on their website that indicates that your music will be protected by them. You will have to follow legal action on your own.

  • How much do you have to pay to upload music.

  • @5904ceker Roughly $10 for a single. The prices for an album has changed, so I'm not sure on that one right now.

  • $10 - Single/Ringtone

    $50 - Album

  • @PerfectHarmony26 yes you do

  • ok how do you make your mp3 file into a wav.. file it wont let me upload it till its like that is really pissin me off can u help me

  • @jellystraws If you have quicktime, open your song with it. Go to File, Export. From the drop down menu choose "wave" format. You can go into expert settings and make sure the quality is all the way up. Then hit okay and let it do its things. When it's done you should have it good to go. Please let me know if this works.

  • u sound like a robot o.o

  • @popopopboy Bleep bleep bloop

  • it costs 10 bucks :-(

  • @smbmadman1 Yes it does. But I don't see how that is a bad thing. They need money to provide you that service. I'm sure their might be a way around that to get it in for free. But it would have to be through some other distributor and I wouldn't know where to begin. If you feel that you can't pay for it then please review the other videos on youtube that explain how to sell for free. :)

  • @smbmadman1 yeh... RouteNote is the only service that has a Free option

  • Just out of interest, how do I convert my song from MP3? Great video by the way :)

  • @willisisapillis A quick and dirty way to do this is to use Quicktime. Open the music file with it and export it to your desktop as a .wav file. This will definitely get you where you need to be, however, it will be best to create and export your music from the source in .wav file format. I use FL Studio and it allows me to do this. This way there is no loss of quality.

  • thank you :)

  • @FelixTheis92 You're welcome :)

  • do u pay some sort of yearly fee

  • @DirectorsFuryStudios Yes, what ever you pay to get it up on iTunes is what you have to pay every year.

  • @pupsikboi

Do they (Itunes) withdraw money every year from your account automatically? or do they need your approval first.

  • @1Stunnerz Tunecore is the one who directly deals with iTunes. You can have your Tunecore account set up for an annual automatic payment. But by default they will start sending you notifications in an email when it is nearing time to pay again.

  • @pupsikboi Tunecore is a scam is it not.

  • @loverssrock I'm very interested in the information you have that substantiates what you are stating. Please be all means, if you can please post a video response to this video explaining why it is a scam. Don't be too light on details either, we need all the information. You'll notice I've approved another video which claimed it was a scam. I'm posting everything I can on here so that way people can make an informed decision. I've not had any issues with them personally.

  • @loverssrock Tunecore isnt a scam.. but there are better alternatives.. like RouteNote

  • @steveninsomnia thanks for the insight

  • @steveninsomnia I'll check em out to see what they're about. Sounds promising.

  • Thank you for your answer, do you know by any chance how other artists do this? or is it just something labels are able to do?

  • @PhantomimeBoo I would try contacting the record label directly if they have a website. They should have personnel who specialize in this part of the business.

  • When you upload your music, do you get to choose the preview time? or is it just the beginning of the song?

  • @Adriwisler125 I didn't get to choose where the preview began and ended. It was automated. However lately now they are giving an option of either 30 or 90 second preview.

  • Thanks for the help man.

    I have 2 questions:

    can you use hotmail?

can i get the money directly to my paypal?

    Again Thanks :D

  • @MasterEBeats Yes you can use hotmail, and yes its paid through paypal.

  • @AllAboutApples I hope this is not completely true. Cloud networking isn't bad though.

  • @MichaelVelten I don't understand you. I've been getting money for each sale I make. Please explain.
