no smell...they spend a large portion of their time grooming...they do practice marking on each other with urine...but there is no smell really

They don't smell worse than hamsters.

My rats use toilet (a sand box) so they don't smell so much.

I clean the cage once a week but sometimes they pee in a house they sleep. When I notice it, I clean the cage again. They themselves don't have smell at all.

wow i didnt know you could toilet train them!

One of my hamsters absolutely stinks but the other barely smalls at all, I have no idea why as I clean them twice a week.

Im glad rats themselves dont smell, because hamsters really do!
