I miss this game. It reminds me of my childhood and the GOLDEN ERA IN NBA HISTORY.
This game was really a CLASSIC. It really deserves to be ONE OF THE 50 GREATEST GAMES IN NBA HISTORY. And HAKEEM OLAJUWON of the Houston Rockets deserves to be included in the elite list of THE 10 GREATEST PLAYERS IN NBA HISTORY.
in all honesty, to this day 16-17 years later, I still wonder if Hakeem Olajuwon called Michael (Air) Jeffrey Jordan on the phone to thank him for being retired all of 1994 & most of 95 for Olajuwon to not face him in the finals. let me know if anybody thought/thinks likewise
@frusionnn That's a thought reserved for sports journalists, spectators, and other non-participants. As any competitor would know, the only players that matter are the ones who show up.
@frusionnn I think Michael congratulated Hakeem. He said that in a game against the Rockets the previous year, Jordan had said "Hakeem will get titles one day." And of course the best athlete IMO was always right.
@frusionnn it wasnt on a video clip. actually i should have pointed out he was echoing michael jordan's point about the rockets being a matchup nightmare for the bulls because hakeem was better than the other big men. and it was in a media locker room huddle if im not mistaken. ill look into it to see if i can dig up where i got it from.

Naw I heard Mike instead called Hakeem to thank him for beating Orlando as he had some serious nightmares in his first go-around vs. them.
@thenintendogamer He was just in disbelief. After all those close calls and near misses in college and his finals loss to the Celtics, he needed time to let it all sink in.
John Starks kinda reminds me of A.J. Burnett. When he's good, he's amazing nad when he's bad, he's terrible. Feel bad for the guy.

@frusionnn not quite. for one thing, phil jackson himself said that hakeem in his prime would have killed the bulls.

@Laydeezmancris when did Phil Jackson say that? show me a clip as well if there is one.
