loved this movie! it fit soo close to the book...its just really sad -.- I cried reading the book lol..basically it suggest that peter pan 'can't' grow up. He could possibly be a boys spirit, at least thats the interpertation I received from it =/

@sakurabellchan I agree. I think it's an interpretation of James Barrie's difficulties accepting adulthood. He rarely if ever consummated his marriage before it failed. I think Peter pretends he doesn't want to grow up because he can't. I'm glad someone else thinks the same thing i do and doesn't just see the happy face Peter puts on :)

anyway, this is just a part of the alternative ending, when peter returns and sees wendy has grown up and starts to cry near the bed, then Jane (wendy´s daughter) wakes up and sees him and they fly together to never land. That was going to be the ending but they didn´t use it... i guess it was because it was too sad or something...

Yeah, I think when the play was first written, it just ended with Peter Pan flying away promising not to forget Wendy, but when the author was writting it again into the form of a novel ("Peter and Wendy", now usually just published under "Peter Pan") he added that ending, and some times its added onto the play too when it's preformed.

Just the story of Peter Pan - book, Disney, film - is so incredibly beautiful as it is sad. A childhood story involving adventure and a pure, somewhat unrequited love, and the sad realization that Wendy has to grow up and leave Pan. :) I love, love love this video!

Im sorry there isnt a 2nd movie 2, tho in a way Im also glad. I agree with u, if there were 2 b a second story, it wud likely destory the relationship between Peter & Wendy. I fear it wud also destroy the magic that the novel has 2. In effect, a sequel wudnt b worth doing, in financial or emotional terms.

Im also glad this scene was deleted from the film: it wud b a really sad prologue or epilogue, and ruins the message of positivity.
