Ron Paul is the only one that can get the country back on track for freedom! A candidate like this doesn't come every year. Ron is a rarity! Get out there to support him while you can!
If you want to help Ron, I'd suggest checking out LibertyCard . org to get the message out to your local community.
Ron Paul voted against federal aid for Katrina victims. This is a joke of a video.
Last year, Congress decided to send billions of dollars to victims of Hurricane Katrina. Guess how Ron Paul voted.
"Is bailing out people that chose to live on the coastline a proper function of the federal government?" he asks. "Why do people in Arizona have to be robbed in order to support the people on the coast?"
Ron Paul is fundamentally right in his thinking, the States affected should have been empowered to protect themselves and not wait for a Federal Response that didn't turn up and has done little since. This video is an indictment of President Bush policies that include the war and piss-poor management. Ron Paul votes for smaller central government, empowerment of States and their people. Arguable the citizens of Louisiana would have been better off under his system of governeance.
Federel Aid....like FEMA? A big cluster fuck that was. Proves exactly how wasteful corrupt government programs dont work and never will. A more localized state program and the ability of people to not rely on the government will always be better.
Galveston was wiped off the face of the earth in the 20's, when there was no such thing as federal aid. People bonded together and relied on their community and state to rebuild the city. The seawall still exists today. If this nation wasnt in the welfare state that it is we wouldnt have to rely on the government to take care of our business.
well, OKCubsFan, considering how FEMA served Katrina victims, even with all the funding they received despite Ron Paul's votes, maybe he was right..The money would have have been more effectively spent by the states.
This guy is Pat Buchanan in sheep's clothing. Compare him to Pat Buchanan will you. This is so strange how you're all so attracted to Ron Paul. It's got to be a joke.
The latest Rasmussen report poll among Republican voters has Paul SHARING 3% with the other bottom two candidates. Come on, this has got to be some kind of Howard Stern hoax isn't it?
Polls, the same polls that said Kerry was on to win the election? I have the evidence of my eyes and ears, there're telling me that the ONE outstanding candidate is RON PAUL. Knowledge is power they say, then Ron Paul is power personified.
It wasn't one third of 3% with his own party before a primary. No this isn't real. It can't be. Look at Paul's WEBsite People!!!! This video saturated political drive is a hoax!!! Paul is the least electable candidate in the Republican Party.
Your're starting to smack of desparation now, Ron Paul's campaign had a little over $100,000 dollars in May. Today donations to his campaign are nearer $5,000,000 dollars. That's a 50 fold increase. At this rate he will be a big hitter come next Feburary and the first primary in New Hampshire. Why don't we wait until then to cast our judgements?
I'm just looking at what I've. He's sharing 3%. He might not eve have 1% do you realize that. He may be real popular on the internet amongst the websurfers from Europe, Asia, Africa, and South America.. But, the Republicans have to decide and they're giving him zip. This is a "Sanjay Hoax". COME ON admit it! Howard Stern is behind this. He's the least likely to win the nomination.
More and more people are hearing Ron Paul's message and are donating to his campaign fund. From what I hear, he has received $5,000,000.00 million dollars so far and we're just getting started! WOW!
Ron Paul has to be nominated as a Republican candidate. The polling results for Paul among registered Republicans 2 weeks ago were -% now it's up to a whopping 2%. I guess that takes care of those Clinton Republicans.
Feburary next year New Hampshire the first republican primary. By your calculations Ron Paul will win by a landslide. Irony, wonderful thing isn't it. As for the Dems, they can't make a decision without refering to a focus group, contrast that with Paul who tells it straight. In any man or woman, such integrity, such honesty should be admired at the very least.
He has to win the Republican nomination! He doesn't have a chance at winning that. Otherwise all he could do would be an independent upsetter taking vote from other candidates. He doesn't have a chance in hell of winning the presidency.
He will win the republican nomination and then take the Presidency. There you go. We'll have to wait until March next year to find out which of us was right.
OK. What about this guy makes you think he'll shake the base? It not what the party people are saying at all. Go to the RNC website. Nobody's exited about this guy. Their still looking for Ronald Reagan. do you remember him? He didn't sound like this guy. where are you getting these ideas?
Four republican members of the House of Repressentatives supported Ronald Reagans bid to become President in 1976. Only four. One of those supporters was Ron Paul, to whom Ronald Reagan acknowledged his indebtedness. Reagan only just lost the primaries to the incumbent President Gerald Ford. The more I learn about this guy the more I am amazed. That's why there is a buzz. As for the base I can't speak for them. But Ron Paul has irrevocably changed American politics.
Star Wars won the Cold War. The Ruskies didn't think they could keep up with us. Thanks to Star Wars we have Patriot Missle Defense that everybody wants. Reagan wasn't Thomas Jefferson but, he's the best we've had since Lincoln. Go to the RNC website. Donate your time and money to Rudy Guiliani or Fred Thompson. Paul cannot and will not win. He'll have to run on a third party ticket. It will upset an apple cart on one side or the other.
I'm not voting for a republican to win. I'm voting for Ron Paul. Rudy McRomney doesn't interest me in the least, snake-oil salesmen have more charm. I'm voting for the man, his principles, his integrity, his honesty, his drive, his aim to make America great.
Then you will be helping to elect a greater evil. There isn't one Democrat frot runner who believes as Paul does. Vote for him in the primaries. If he doesn't win, stay with the Republican candidate who does. A third party candidate won't get elected and would give the votes to the side that is for a strong fed. Govnt. in control of every aspect of our lives.
I disagree, all the Dem candidates are anti-war, which is my major concern. But given the fact that couldn't stand up to Bush's threat of a veto, they have shown themselves to be cowards. They did not stand on principle or the mandate they were lected with. That frankly was a disgrace. Given even that, I have serious doubts regarding the competence of Rudy and Romney to lead America (McCain has little credibility left), whereas the same cannot be said of some of the Dem candidates.
Oh I was under the impression that you cared about the other reason for voting for Paul too. You know the Tax thing and some of his more libertarian Or conservative points of view like No gun control, No abortion, No government in schools, etc. My Bad.
No Paul has very sensibly said that decisions regarding state taxes, abortion, and education should be devolved to the states themselves. Every state is different, and therefore can evolve policies much quicker, with less bureaucracy, to meet the needs of its people. This is just plain common sense, which under the circumstances can seem strange to people who haven't thought that way before, Rudy McRomney being prime examples.
With less interference from Iraq's neighbors and more SUPPORT for our side, things just might calm down enough for them to have a decent government that can protect Iraq's sovereignty from assholes like we just kicked out. Otherwise these goons are going to get even more backbone than the press already gives them, attack Israel and then US.
What Iraq attack Israel or the US? Now that made me laugh. I can see mushroom clouds over Washington. That theory was discredited years ago. The insurgency in Iraq is growing daily, once you've lost the people its over. The Madhi army, suunis and shias are united only in one thing, and that is to remove US troops from its soil. Given that these groups were at each others throats that quite an achievement. Rudy McRomney want to perpetuate this disaster, Ron Paul will end this disaster.
Not Iraq. Moslem extremists you know AL Qaida, Hezbollah, Hamas. You mean the 9/11 theory? The Sunnis and the Shiites are hell bent on destroying each other.
FDR didn't pull the troops out of Normandy or the Bulge. Look what happened to Lebanon. Now it's a launching pad for Iranian supported, Hezbollah rocket attacks in Israel. you know the old Vietcong strategy attack run and let the press make the good guys look bad. Google Ron Paul's website read his "issues" section.
What has WWII got to do with Iraq? Vietnam, great you brought that up, that was a foreign policy success to look fondly back on. As for lebanon - I think you will find Israel stayed there and was responsible for many human rights violations - its a case of the kettle calling the pot black. You reap what you sow.
WW2: It was a war to ouster an evil man who killed lots of people (Analogy aren't I allowed to make it?)Vietnam: (sarcasm is the lowest form of humor Jason)It was one country being taken over by an ideology. Completely different. Hezbollah has the right to shoot rockets into Israel? So you're kind of pro-anybody who hates the zionists Israel and U.S. Do you think 9/11 was America's fault? Don't vote for Ron Paul. This is a JOKE.
Ah I see, your're a mindreader, I don't hate the USA. I don't hate Israel. I don't like the adminstrations of both countries, both of which are disliked by the majority of their own populace. Both incidently engaged in wars that have been absolutely disasterous.
Ahh you see, you've the nail on the head already. Why don't I criticise the enemy instead of us. Because I want to know who the enemy is. It certainly is the Iraqis who have foreign troops on their land. The enemy is in Afghanistan, and our army is in Iraq, use google maps to find out how far that is. Your're confusing cynicism with truth. Easy mistake to make.
The enemy are radical moslems who want spread the word of their prophet using violence and fear against the innocent. The Iraqis are intitaled to live without fear as much as you are. Syria and Iran need to let Iraq develop on its own.
Iran was a functioning democracy until the CIA engineered a coup because the Prime Minister at the time wanted to nationalise the oil industry. This lead to the Shah of Iran dictatorship that was backed by the US (it trained, with the help of mossad, the Iranian secret police in methods of torture, by the way). The shah was overthrown by the only organised resistance left, the mullahs who still retain power.
It's like some country invading Canada, and the USA doing jack all. It's pie in the sky thinking that people sympathetic to canadians wouldn't help them. The same situation prevails in Iraq. Two million refugees are in Syria, of course Syria has some influence, mostly not of its own making, The Iraq Study Group said this was suprising and both countries should be engaged at a diplomatic level. The result: the surge. Doh!
Physicist Hans Bethe, who worked with Teller on both the atom bomb and the hydrogen bomb, both at Los Alamos, claimed a laser defense shield was unfeasible. He said that a defensive system was costly and difficult to build, but simple to destroy, and claimed that the Soviets could easily use thousands of decoys to overwhelm it during a nuclear attack. He believed that the only way to stop the threat of nuclear war was through diplomacy
Who cares. It scared the bejeezis out of the Ruskies. His theory didn't work. The USSR went down. I guess they should have read his book. What kind of Sanjay scheme are you guys running here with this Ron Paul crap anyway? You don't believe in what he believes.
"You don't believe in what he believes" - not correct. I believe in non-interventionist policies, I believe in smaller government, not just lip-service but actually doing something about it. I believe in many of Ron Paul's policies, not all I'll grant you, but that would be unreasonable. All the other republican candidates are fakers, bought out by their sponsors, they just peddle anything they think can get them elected, which by the way is hilarious.
Russia fell because it had a socialist government and socialism has never work and it never will work. All this defense spending and policing the world is a waist of money.
Because THEY over spent themselves on defence. Thanks to Reagan spending more on defence they couldn't keep up. Star Wars scared the hell out of them. You're right they never could develope their government. Socialism doesn't work. The whole reason for government is to protect the people within it's borders. I'm glad we're doing it over there than doing it here.
Oh I see you've left the minutemen at the border. There're doing a grand job. As for doing it over there, if you look on google maps i think you'll find Iraq is hundreds of miles from Afghanistan, where the US army should still be.
Radical moslems are usually peoples whose rights have been trampled on, or are repressed or oppressed. All these poeple use religion as a rallying point, much as Americans use patriotism to justify bombing and killing 100,000 Afghans. Same coin, different sides.
jason, the "polls" are a joke. You can make them come out anyway you want, based on how you ask the question. Polls also say that 83 pct think the war is needed to fight terrorism over there and not here!
Ron Paul is 'symbolic' of the of the struggle for the anti-war voice to get out and be heard while being ignored by the media. In that regard his just standing there in a field of 10 Republican candidates and standing true to his principles is awe-inspiring. That is why he's so popular. Now whether that can be translated into votes, is anyone's guess. I'm voting for honesty, integrity, life, liberty and the pursiut of happiness. I may be wrong, but I'm willing to take the chance that I'm right.
The first two primaries will go to Mitt Romney, the likeliest of all to be president.
Ron Paul will be nowhere and all his supporters will have once again wasted their time and money on a non-candidate. The fringe element of Paul's team make him unelectable, cuz they're just a bunch of antiwar Bush bashers who don't understand what this nation is up against in this war. Oh, and they work for democrats!
As for the fringe anti-war element, you might be suprised to find out they compose nearly 70% of America. The percentage of Republicans going the fringe element is growing daily also.
It's this kind of looney video that will ensure Pauls loss, so nice work. If you take notice, the truth is that it is actually Russia's Vladimir Putin who is going to be extending his term, unconstitutionally. It's time to stop bashing Bush and focus on reality, which is that RP can't win.
Ron Paul should be heavily guarded. The organizations that may target him are the IRS, Federal Reserve Banks, Mossad, AIPAC, Military inudstrial complex, Christain fundamentalists, zionists, socialists, communists, etc. etc.
Basically all evil groups are targeting this man. Protect him. It is better to die on your feet than to continue to live on your knees.
Paul84674...and let us not forget the white supremacists and other mentally unstable types who are susceptible to mind control techniques...the Sirhans, the Oswalds, the McVeighs. There was a vehement anti-semite today, username larrysilvers on the YouTube site, username: ronpaul2008dotcom who said "death to ron paul."
Everybody who is present when Ron Paul is speaking needs to function as his security force. Vigilance needs equal weighting with excitement and promotion of Ron's candidacy.
He is running against pre-emptive war, he's running against cronyism (Heck of a job, Brownie!), and bigger government. All the other candidates are pledging their support for Iraq and bigger government - and they are all bought. Bush is symbolic of the disaster that has befallen this country.
You have a point their, just remember though first he has to win the Republican vote. So we should be focusing on how to make him look better than Gulliani, Mc Cain and Rommney... which isnt that hard to do i guess :P
The Republican Party will not support Ron Paul; like it or not, they pretty much call the shots! I think Bush will use Directive 51 and suspend the elections; then we can all call him King George IIII. (wink)
Awksedgreep, according to Judge Andrew Napolitano, the "reincarnation" of Thomas Jefferson is amongst us and is running...of course you know they call him Ron Paul now.
DONATE! Right now that is the very best thing you can do for Dr. Ron Paul's campaign. Donations before the primary are worth much more than after the primary -- there might not even be a campaign to which you can donate if you don't donate now. Visit ronpaul2008(.com) and donate as much as you can afford. Then organize, spread the word and be sure the people you contact understand that the best thing they can do is to DONATE!
I've listened to Ron Paul & Mike Gravel and they BOTH make a lot of sense. People have figured out that these guys REALLY have the nations' best interest at heart, walking their talk in faith. How 'bout a real partisan ticket PAUL/GRAVEL 2008!
That's a pretty slick advertisement for Ron Paul. I've listened to the guy though, and he's a goober. Like all libertarians he has some basically good ideas, but when he gets into the details you realize he's a wacko.
Prove it - Seriously, you come in here and spout this nonsense with ZERO backing. I've also looked DEEP into Ron Paul and his message is loud and clear and drowning the real wackos like yourself right out.
It's simple - compare Ron Paul's voting record with EVERY other candidate and then compare their message, their essay's and articles as well as their flop flopping and Ron Paul will always shoot right to the top because he is the ONLY candidate that supports the constitution.
Prove me wrong... I wont hold my breath waiting though.
I guess Thomas Jefferson was a wacko? But lets put this in to real terms; I think he is 9billion times more sane than our current president, Neocons your regime is done Ron Paul 2008
Boscoruby...Perhaps if you did not pontificate in generalities, your comment would make a contribution to general knowledge...perhaps....
What is your purpose here? If you want to participate in honest, constructive discussion, I suggest hitting "rewind" and starting all over...too much static generated with this recording.

He believed that the only way to stop the threat of nuclear war was through diplomacy
schmykl 4 years ago
Who cares. It scared the bejeezis out of the Ruskies. His theory didn't work. The USSR went down. I guess they should have read his book. What kind of Sanjay scheme are you guys running here with this Ron Paul crap anyway? You don't believe in what he believes.
Nickbezonders 4 years ago
"You don't believe in what he believes" - not correct. I believe in non-interventionist policies, I believe in smaller government, not just lip-service but actually doing something about it. I believe in many of Ron Paul's policies, not all I'll grant you, but that would be unreasonable. All the other republican candidates are fakers, bought out by their sponsors, they just peddle anything they think can get them elected, which by the way is hilarious.
jasonking10001 4 years ago
Russia fell because it had a socialist government and socialism has never work and it never will work. All this defense spending and policing the world is a waist of money.
schmykl 4 years ago
Because THEY over spent themselves on defence. Thanks to Reagan spending more on defence they couldn't keep up. Star Wars scared the hell out of them. You're right they never could develope their government. Socialism doesn't work. The whole reason for government is to protect the people within it's borders. I'm glad we're doing it over there than doing it here.
Nickbezonders 4 years ago
Oh I see you've left the minutemen at the border. There're doing a grand job. As for doing it over there, if you look on google maps i think you'll find Iraq is hundreds of miles from Afghanistan, where the US army should still be.
jasonking10001 4 years ago
Radical moslems are usually peoples whose rights have been trampled on, or are repressed or oppressed. All these poeple use religion as a rallying point, much as Americans use patriotism to justify bombing and killing 100,000 Afghans. Same coin, different sides.
jasonking10001 4 years ago
jason, the "polls" are a joke.

I may be wrong, but I'm willing to take the chance that I'm right.
jasonking10001 4 years ago
The first two primaries will go to Mitt Romney, the likeliest of all to be president.
Ron Paul will be nowhere and all his supporters will have once again wasted their time and money on a non-candidate. The fringe element of Paul's team make him unelectable, cuz they're just a bunch of antiwar Bush bashers who don't understand what this nation is up against in this war. Oh, and they work for democrats!
Zile77 4 years ago
As for the fringe anti-war element, you might be suprised to find out they compose nearly 70% of America. The percentage of Republicans going the fringe element is growing daily also.
jasonking10001 4 years ago
It's this kind of looney video that will ensure Pauls loss, so nice work. If you take notice, the truth is that it is actually Russia's Vladimir Putin who is going to be extending his term, unconstitutionally. It's time to stop bashing Bush and focus on reality, which is that RP can't win.

Then I have done my job. The fifth column is alive and well.

Why must you use your HATE for bush to endorse Dr Paul. Don't even use Bush an Paul in the same sentince. Use Hillary or Obama , or Gulliani.
Hes not running against Bush.
Woodchuckk 4 years ago
He is running against pre-emptive war, he's running against cronyism (Heck of a job, Brownie!), and bigger government. All the other candidates are pledging their support for Iraq and bigger government - and they are all bought. Bush is symbolic of the disaster that has befallen this country.
jasonking10001 4 years ago
You have a point their, just remember though first he has to win the Republican vote. So we should be focusing on how to make him look better than Gulliani, Mc Cain and Rommney... which isnt that hard to do i guess :P
Woodchuckk 4 years ago
The Republican Party will not support Ron Paul; like it or not, they pretty much call the shots! I think Bush will use Directive 51 and suspend the elections; then we can all call him King George IIII. (wink)

If Jefferson was running in '08 would you vote for him?
Ron Paul in '08

Go Ron Paul!

I've listened to Ron Paul & Mike Gravel and they BOTH make a lot of sense. People have figured out that these guys REALLY have the nations' best interest at heart, walking their talk in faith. How 'bout a real partisan ticket PAUL/GRAVEL 2008!

The principles our country was built on and the way our founders designed our Republic is not wacko.

Outstanding! The solution to a cabinet full of politicians uninterested in the constitution is "Here, right, now. Is here right now" Ron Paul!!!

That's a pretty slick advertisement for Ron Paul. I've listened to the guy though, and he's a goober. Like all libertarians he has some basically good ideas, but when he gets into the details you realize he's a wacko.
boscoruby 4 years ago
Prove it - Seriously, you come in here and spout this nonsense with ZERO backing. I've also looked DEEP into Ron Paul and his message is loud and clear and drowning the real wackos like yourself right out.
PureHateFace 4 years ago
It's simple - compare Ron Paul's voting record with EVERY other candidate and then compare their message, their essay's and articles as well as their flop flopping and Ron Paul will always shoot right to the top because he is the ONLY candidate that supports the constitution.
Prove me wrong... I wont hold my breath waiting though.
PureHateFace 4 years ago
I guess Thomas Jefferson was a wacko? But lets put this in to real terms; I think he is 9billion times more sane than our current president, Neocons your regime is done Ron Paul 2008
