Neat video.. I just bought a Neos last week, and should have watched it before taking it apart. Unfortunately, both springs and the firng pin went flying arross my messy basement, and took me a while to find them. My only coment on the video, is that it is a bit dark to see details.. maybe should have had a light on the subject. Is there anyway to adjust the trigger pull? I find it very heavy.
Just wanted to say I picked up a 4 inch Neos Inox partly based on this take down video. Man I just love shooting this gun. I tried a scope on it, nah. Went back to the iron sights.
Man I just love that gun. AND I do have you to thank again for your recommendation to purchase. I have several thousand rounds thru it now and not a problem. I bought the 4 inch model as I heard some bad things about the 6 inch fancy model from gun tests magazine. I bought 10 magazines and I have a loader which speeds things up at the range - and clean up is relatively easy compared to other .22's. Thanks again. Sincerely, JAMES.
very cool video... the song fits it well. the HD version makes it a lot better. We just got the two tone one and I'm still figuring out how everything works, thanks for the help.
The first time i field stripped my 870, i was cleaning out the tubular magazine, and that frickin spring flew out and hit the ceiling when i tried to put it back in!
Thanks for the post, I purchased this as my first firearm purchase. I didn't even realize all the modular options such as the carbine conversion kit. I like the steep angle of the grip, like an older Luger. I'm thinking about putting a reflexive site on it for kicks.
Oh sorry, second question I am thinking about purchasing the 4.5" barrell. What do you think of this choice. I'm thinking it will be lighter and easier to carry. Opinion please. thank you again. sincerely, JAMES.
Well, I'm not an expert...but I think that a shorter barrel will make you more difficult to hit accurately with that gun. When the barrel is shorter the sights are also in shorter distance and thus more steady hand is needed. I think the weight is not that much of a problem with a 4,5" barrel than it is with longer ones.
Hello - we spoke before. I heard that the Beretta Neos has a big flaw in that the rear sights keep coming loose. Have you heard that? If so, how difficult is it to tighten up the rear sights? I hope it is accessible. Thank you. sincerely, JAMES.
I have experienced that flaw with my Neos. My rear sight comes loose every 25-30 shots fired (it became obvious after about 4000 rounds fired). Needs to be re-adjusted after that,no big problem.
I think that a glue of some kind will repair it permanently. Not anykind of a "super glue", but a loose enough glue that will fix it during recoil but will be flexible enough when adjusting the sight (if ever neened after fixing it).
Also, there is always the option of sending the gun back to Beretta.
I've been looking to pickup the Neos but am torn between it or a Browning Buck Mark. Decisions decisions... your video is very helpful and informative.
I ended up getting a Ruger MKIII 22/45 the main reason for that is because before I got the Ruger I had purchased a Taurus PT1911 .45. The Ruger and the 1911 have the exact same grip angle. Thanks for your response.
Also a good choice. The Buckmark's grip and controls are closer to an 1911's than the Ruger, and it's probably easier to strip for cleaning. But the Ruger will definitely last you a while
I'm not too sure if I agree about the grip because the grip of the Ruger MKIII 22/45 was designed to emulate that of the 1911s perfectly. Also the mag release, safety and slide catch are all in nearly the exact same location. Both are really nice guns, the Ruger just fit my needs better.
I just can't get over how weird this gun looks! Me and my friend were at the range one day and we saw one of these, we flipped out! We call it the Star Wars Gun.
Hello. Great Video and Great gun. We spoke before. I finally had an opportunity to hold one and I think it does not give you enough space for the web of your hand. The upper part of the rear tang kind of presses down on your hand and limits the position of how you hold it. Does anyone else notice this?? Does it affect your shooting?? thank you. JAMES.
Very interesting. You really make it look simple. I have looked at the Ruger and I feel like it would be a nightmare that awaits me if I were to purchase one. Plus, add to that I have Arthritis in both hands so I have to purchase something simple. Also, is it hard to give it a thorough cleaning after shooting?? So, could you recommend this Neos for me after hearing what I am up against. Would appreciate your comments. Thank You. JAMES.
Yes. I would recommend this firearm. However you ought to try how the gun fits in your hand and maybe to perform a field strip on it before you buy one. Shoot as many firearms as you possibly can and then make a decision. Thats the best way.
I have fired both the Neos and the 92, and they're both great in their own way. One nice thing about the Neos is you can go to range and fire 500 rounds without breaking the bank. It really is a fun little popper.
almost all 22. pistols are simple and this one is too, its kinda hard to believe that the simple gun costs 350$ but then again so do almost all other guns (I wonder how much this gun actually costs to make)the designs for bb guns are almost the same as the real guns my beretta 98 bb gun looks the same and the parts are almost the same except it doesn't fire bullets(although I don't own the real gun)
Great video--thanks for posting. I love my Neos too. Do you have the problem of the rear windage screw coming loose while you're shooting? If so, how do you deal with this?
Now, after +4000 shots fired I find that the rear windage screw does come a little bit loose. I was thinking fixing it with glue or something like that. It is not that big problem. I now know what you meant with the "rear windage screw", and now it happened.
I followed the advice from one of the gun websites, and it worked. I put some Loctite glue on the screw, and it stays in place now. Any kind of glue designed to secure metal screws should work. Good luck!
Now load it and point it between your eyes... Let us see what it really can do to people or other living things. Because that's really what they are maded and used for every bloody day. WAKE UP! Guns are dumb!
smoking and food are the 2 biggest contributers to preventable death in america... go protest mcdonalds and tobacco companies...cars kill more people than guns...bottom line is if i want to kill you not having a gun isnt going to make me change my mind
You seem like a person with a one track mind. Have you ever actually smelled the roses? Or in other words...have you ever seen life other than your own?
Dude, live and let live. Even though you seem to advocate "live and let die" attitude.
Of course guns are used for killing people. But taking away guns is not going to stop people killing each other; nothing can stop that. A gun allows you to protect yourself and others from people who are trying to kill you though.

"pilaa39", I have the DLX version so I can adjust the trigger.
I'm sorry not to have enough light on the subject, but, I'm sure you'll figure how to do the field strip.
