  • the little screen at the right is like a 0.5 sec slower the you hit:/

  • why all notes is hanging back?

  • it's the lag from GH2. check out the FAQ -->

  • how the fuckin hell do u do that

  • What's FC

  • FC = Full Combo

  • OHHH thanks

  • lol @ 2:38..."oh shit"

  • Lag much insane dude

  • dude i love the thing from 1:05

  • i dont get how u can tell which not is which

  • well since he probably programmed it, he should know where the notes are

  • awesome but i dont really see the point of playing the drums on guitar hero

    still awesome though

  • because it's nice and fast lol. alot faster than rock band

  • thats a drum set

  • this is last vid iv seen from u seen all the others but now that i know theres no lines how do u no where to hit!!!?? Report back to my channel for my answer plz i hate jeeking back on vids i hope u no what i mean

  • I've seen all your videos and I think your fucking insane.

  • how mush does a drum kat cost

  • awesome

  • I laughed at 2:36. "Oh, shit!"

  • i like this view. =)

  • awqesome

  • so is ther no way 2 use the whammy?

  • yup, watch at 2:21, i have a hi-hat pedal for my left foot.

  • From 2:25 to 2:27, why are you hitting like this?:

    Y, RY, Y, RY, Y, RY, Y, RY...

    You could hit like this:

RY, RY, RY, RY, RY, RY, RY, RY

  • yeah this sort of thing goes through my mind all the time with parts like that because on guitar, with the simulated "real guitar fret" behavior, you can do that, just hold down RY and strum over and over. With my drum mod, though, from my "auto-hold" behavior, *every* note is held until the next drum hit. And this includes chords. So if I hit RY, no matter what, it's going to "unhold" whatever I last hit, and then send a RY chord. So for the plain Y hits, it'd play a chord and be wrong.

  • i guess the answer could also be that my mod simulates a standard controller, and since R = LB and Y = RB, it'd be like hitting LB+RB and releasing, pressing, releasing... ummmm... wait a minute, maybe that would work! I don't know, i'm not sure now. Maybe there's still some "lower frets are ignored" logic, even when playing on standard controller. Now I'm puzzled. I'll have to try it. :)

  • no because the way he's set is set up it would basically over strum the yellow because the way it is idk how to explain it

  • orimarc, you are so right! I tried it and it works, just like guitar. This whole time I never knew that it works like that on standard controller. So, I just finished recording an FC of When You Were Young and I played around with that on a few notes. I'm going to upload it tonight (still tweaking my setup and wanna try out some more editing things).

  • i like this view the best

  • yay! Awesome

  • wooo go you!@!

  • I thought the guy under me had a great idea with Gemini. If could try that one it would be awesome. I love that song! God, you kick my butt at Guitar Hero, and I don't care if you use the drums (which is probably harder) you still kick my butt, plus you play real drums, and you're nice.

  • wow thanks! question though... i added "gemini" to the list, but I don't recall which game that's on... is it GH2 or GH3... is it DLC? thanks

  • GH2.

  • GH2 Bonus Song.

  • its on set list

  • Gh2, Im 100% sure Not DLC though

  • its on set list

  • you should try "stop". i bet that'd be fun on drums. or maybe "gemini", which you might have already done. can't quite remember. anyway, love the videos. you rock.

  • added to my todo list! thanks.

  • i dun like how ur notes dun burn up and dissapear..

  • I like the birds eye view more (It shows youre talent more)

  • Nice work Egyokeo that was sick!, you can easily get the Fc, its hard to work those notes that go fast on the way up, i dont manage how you can do that for drums.

  • I think I liked the layout on your Freebird vid better, but only because the note track was bigger. Keep it up though!

  • Oops, I mean your Freya vid. That was the best one to date IMO.

  • i love watching your videos because i love hearing the rhythms from the drums, it's helped me get the right rhythms on some crazy songs (TTFAF)! Also, have you ever taken a rhythm you've played here and incorporated it into a beat on real drums?

  • thanks! no never used any GH rhythm on real drums... but i know that playing this game has helped my real drumming! it's so "deliberate" what you have to do to play the game, and on real drums i tend to be more loose, so it's good to have both outlets.

  • lol "oh...shit.."

  • I think this view is the best yet... But if you can, I would make the notechart bigger

  • You could have torrented something for free, like Sony Vegas 7.0.

I definitely like this setup, I don't know why but I think it is cool seeing how you do everything and this is the best way to show it imo.

    1:05-1:07 was amazing.

  • thanks a lot! yah, i'm thinking this is the best angle to see what's going on on the drum pad. i would like a more straight on view of that, but my head is in the way! so the drum pads are a little skewed. and i like that the fretboard is right next to it. you can really see how the pads map to the notes on screen that way. i'm still tweaking, but it's getting there. thanks!

  • Yeah, I had a feeling you didn't view it from directly above for a reason. It's ridiculous how good you are getting at GH on the drums lol.

  • haha yeah, i should get good at something that pays. that'd be a good idea. no really, thanks. i'm starting to notice the difference too. i remember just trying to beat this song before GH3 or RB were out, and i just got my midi pads working and i remember how hard it was.

  • hey, this might sound stupid, but would you be able to play a game of gh3 with me at some point? not askin for a place on ur friend list or anything, its just that ur a legend, and that would be kick ass. anyways, if u wanted to, my gamertag is henry paplow. thanks man.

  • i usually don't go online and play gh3, but sometimes i do. maybe i should make a ustream show on occasion that's just a free for all i'll just play anyone who wants to. i usually get beat, too. because after i make a vid, i forget how to play the song lol

  • lol, dats cool, i wuz just wondering. sounds like a sweet idea.

  • Lol @ 2:37 "OSHT"

    Beautifully earned 5 Stars.

  • try iron man hyper speed x5 with persission on expert

  • i request a surrender fc!

  • 2:35 "OH SHIT!"

  • oh shit!

  • do u ever get confused on wat to hit..like the 3 note chords and watnot?

  • squirlnuts2005, yeah, and this video shows me doing that! my "oh shit" moment was because it was an easy to hit 3-note chord, but I hit the wrong pads haha

  • lol...when i saw that i laughed cause i do the same stuff.lol...but after awhile i would see u get use to it...crazy good stuff tho man

  • what video editor do you use

  • AMD889, I just started using Ulead MediaStudio Pro 8. it's not bad, has what i need, not too terribly expensive ($400 compared to Adobe Premiere $900 or something).

  • I like the new view and setup other than the score and the rock meter, maybe you could put them somewhere see them a little better. But nice job! Could you try Madhouse?

  • NICE RUN man, and by the way, i like this view a lot better

  • ah my gawd 1:05......looks hard..

  • Nice in all ways. its funny to see the movements of your drumsticks while you play

  • i love the new angle. youll get the fc soon

  • i think you should go for jordan :]

  • i wanna c a vid of u trying the uber song

  • awesome angle, awesome job.

  • Better view this time and it seems like everyone else like this view better as well based on the comments. The video get out of sync for me me though, maybe it's just for me i don't know. Great job! :)

  • LOve the angle

  • do beast and the harlot

  • two things:

one can you beat trogdor without carpet triggers for GY

    and

can you make a video of you playing "Welcome to the Jungle"? and i love your veiw....

  • numcaps2, yeah, i think i can do trogdor, the only part i won't be able to do is the fast note stream at the end of the solo because my mod can't hit notes that fast in a row, so once i get my mod working with rock band, it'll have less lag (for a different reason) and then i'll take on trogdor!

  • I like this view better. I have to ask though, why are the notes so laggy? They go almost off the screen and it still says your hitting them.

  • AntiEskimoChris, in GH2 I use a huge calibration setting to offset my mod's lag. in newer version of my GH3 vids, they have separate calibration for audio and video so I can get the notes to burst into flames at the right point.

  • Oh thanks man. I was always wondering about that :P.

  • nice view :P its the best to me :P

    great job, very impressive

  • Hey could you try and make a video of beast and the harlot? because that ones chalenging but it would seem fun on drums, anyways nice job, and im diggin the angle!

  • this is the best view but i think the rock meter, score meter and notes are too small. if you changed that itll be perfect

  • you should sell this man you can become rich dude :D

  • I think this view is better

  • i like this one because now i can see the notes and still concentrate you playing

  • THis view is kind of annoying how the rock meter is way on the bottom. Bring it up some and it would be better. Also can you play message in a bottle?

  • FAKE!!!

Dude, I'm so stoked you did another one of my requests! Thank you so much! And I must say, you KILLED it.

Do you have your controller mapped out for Rockband yet? I reckon you're going to have a few extra pads, lol. Also, are you going to do any guitar stuff from Rockband? Anyways, good luck with whatever vids you'll end up doing. I'll be sure to watch and comment. Keep up the good work!

  • JDisturbed, thanks! I have it ready to go for rock band (theoretically) but I'm missing one piece of hardware I'm waiting for (XIM2, not out yet, almost in beta). Then i'll be able to play drum parts and guitar parts on the midi pads in rock band.

  • Do you have Guitar Hero Aerosmith? If so, could you do the Joe Perry Guitar Battle? Awesome job on the drums.

  • "Ah, shit..." Fantastic...I can't play this song that good on the guitar. Skills...

  • how can you play with all that screen lag, it must be so annoying

  • He answered that in the "more info" section.

  • Hey, it's me again. The positioning is a lot better, but it could stil be improved upon. Try putting the notechart at the extreme top or bottom, and enlarging the score and multiplier. You can cut the health bar out completely if you want, most peopel don't care about it unless you don't finish the song.

Also, maybe the camera should be a bit more over the shoulder. I personally dislike how the drums look tilted.

  • I second that oppinion!

  • i no why theres lag, but it would just be a bit annoying thats all

  • I didn't even know you used kick pedals when you did some Midihero lol

  • I would like to see the multiplier and score if possible please.

  • damn, I just realized they were underneath. Sorry.

  • nicely done, very close fc :)

  • 2:37

    OH SHIT

    LOL

  • lol at 2:36.

  • And by the way, what sticks are those?

  • raptor192837, the sticks I use are Vic Firth SD2 Bolero. I've been using them for years... I'll never change again!

  • SD2 Bolero.

    One of my favorites also.

My pair broke though and I'm too lazy to order another pair so I'm stuck with some

Vic Firth SRH because after all, I am a corp style/concert.

I used the SD2s for random practicing on pads.

    Enough of that,

this video is still great and I'd probably won't be able to do that for like, a long time because I don't have enough money for a setup and I still can't.

    5/5 and Favorited.

  • i like the positioning a little better, but i dunno, maybe a little too small. and if u could tell me where u found that option to create the mask shape so i can look for it in my program, that'd be great. keep it up man

  • Holzy09, i don't know where to find the mask thing on other programs, but on ulead mediastudio pro it's under Overlay Options when you right click on the movie in the timeline.

  • well, i've got better news, i found it. it was there all along just w/ a name that makes no sense. it's called 4 pt. garbage matte. lol

  • that's great!! your vids look pretty good as they are, but now you'll have complete control. So, one thing I found out about my matte feature is that if you make it "gray" on the edges, it'll "fade out". see this vid how the fretboard has edges that blend with the background? and the score/starpower overlays, i just used straight hard edge black and white mattes.

  • nice

  • the fretboard is PERFECT

the camera view for the pads, it really doesnt matter, it looks great/amazing either way

actually this is a perfect overlay

    but one thing though

    move the chair.. XD

  • thanks! haha, that chair is holding the webcam that's filming the TV for the fretboard overlay. I'll have to come up with a better way to mount that.

  • simply amazing

  • lol, oh shit! nice, i was never realy a fan of this song =|... but with the drums it sounds awsome, like everone u do =D

  • awesome!!

  • 2:37 oh shit lol

    nice job =P

  • Is it hard to play with that lagg?

  • not really, because I still hit the notes when they cross the circles, it's just that they burst into flames 145ms later. So, I'm always just reading ahead and not worrying if they make the little flames.

  • he did that so he can play wit the music :)

  • nice i love it dude could you do trogdor or thunderhorse good job though your good

  • great job, solo b would be extremely difficult on drums

  • first view sweet job

  • Fuck!
