What an amazing mini-concert, just two months or less before 9-11. It's sad to watch this and see the camera pan up one of the WTC towers. Imagine that less than 2 months after this fun show, so much death and destruction would take place there. I guess it's a farewall concert to innocence...

I also wanted to thank SoMadAboutIT for posting this ! I saw Dave Perform Celluloid Heroes with his incredible Guitar intro many times in the early years. I would give my right leg to see him perform it just one more time before the inevitable ! Dave's health is not doing very well these days. I wish him well !

I've been following the Kinks since 1977. I first saw them in college. I was at U-Mass in Amherst Massachusetts. They played every year I was there. Some of the songs from One For The Road were recorded there in my senior year. They always performed a kick ass - high energy concert. Truely one of my favorite live bands to go see. saw them all thru the 80's and early 90's. Unfortunately we all age. I was supposed to see Dave last year but cancelled cause of his health. I really miss the Kinks !
