I'm not sure which I like more, the original version by Low, or this cover. I think it's this one. Bozulich' voice fits the song very well.

Song sounds like a depressed Christian know full well of her position with God. Am I wrong?

Well, the song's a cover, its originally by Low. I don't really know her religious beliefs, but I don't think you can be "wrong" when it comes to what a song means to you. (and don't let anyone tell you otherwise, especially the artist!)

As far as "gothic rock," I honestly don't know. I think her stuff is on its own, not really aligning with any genre guidelines, like all great music (in my opinion).

Her show in Philadelphia (last April I think) was one of the best things I've ever seen. She performed in a small church sanctuary and the fire department came to the building next door, so while she did her last song, siren lights flicked through the stain glass windows and the music was so loud and contained you felt completely surrounded by the band. The fact there was no way to rehearse or plan something like that made it truly memorable, not to mention oddly messianic. Come back soon!

They performed this last night in Baltimore - it was sublime! Really shocking to hear a Low cover amidst all the scary improv. that most of the set consisted of.
