Thats because theres no such thing as "kind" within the taxonomic scale and the term "kind" remains vague and loosely-defined at best. It is an unaccepted term within the scientific communities- and for (these) very good reasons. Its not that science cant deal with this religious bullshit, they intentionally make it impossible for science to deal with their bullshit by being purposely vague.
Just so you know when scientists refer to the theory of evolution they are referring to the processes that shape biological reproduction with variation not the entire origin of the universe and life. It has no more to do with the meaning of life or origin of life than the theory of gravity.
I'm really sorry you feel this way about us atheists, i hope someday you come to feel differently. I can only hope to persuade you otherwise with my actions until then i wish you well.
It's sad to see how the American population is getting brainwashed by all this religious shit. There are plenty of solid intelligent and well studied reasons why the entire community of experts in biology have no doubt about the fundamentals of evolution.
Christianity increasingly have to rely on ignorance and outright lies to battle all the scientific evidence against it.
I shredded your claims of the quran's supposedly superior knowledge and all you can do is make threats. You're just proving my point--that it is ISLAM that produces the violent, brainwashed morons, not education.
Lucy wasn't forged. And it was SCIENCE that exposed the real problem cases like piltdown man. Meanwhile religion steals credit for it and tries to exploit the honesty of the scientific community while constantly reinterpreting your own book of fairy tales in order to pretend it isn't really the book of primitive mythology that it is.
Evidence that Lucy is a hoax? Of course not. Because all you know how to do is mindlessly repeat what your religious leaders have told you. SEVERAL Australopithecus afarensis fossils have been found, not just Lucy.
Mohamed was a con artist, a pedophile and a barbarian who began one of the most violent religions the world has ever known. Not exactly "Godly" at all.
@itssaab And now the discussion has just deteriorated into you plugging your fingers in your ears and denying everything you don't like. No wonder you're a fundamentalist moron who blindly trusts an old book that says the sun sets in a muddy spring (18:86, 90)
you seem to jump to conclusions before understand anything
this is the last one of your deceptive quesitons im answering you need to read i see no such verse in my quran tell me which one of your angry friends did?
surah 18:86 speak of the sun setting in a black sea.
@itssaab Regardless of which translation of the quran you use, it still scientifically WRONG. The sun doesn't set in ANY of Earth's water bodies. Allah was DEAD WRONG on this point. It was common thinking in the time the quran was written, and thus the book was clearly NOT written by any omniscient being, but rather written by an ignoramus who thought the sun is smaller than the Earth, that the sun travels through the sky each day, and that the Earth is flat. The quran is WRONG. Accept it.
Plain English translation, "I can't refute your points so I'll insult you instead."
"you dont want truth you want satisfaction"
You have failed to demonstrate ANY truth in the quran. You just preach and ignore everything that proves your religion is wrong.
"the quran is only pure in arabic"
You'd think an omniscient deity wouldn't have written such a limited book that works in only one language. Such favoritism is NOT the trait of a just being.
Appeal to popularity fallacy. An even GREATER percent of the world is Christian (~33%). Yet you don't let THAT convert you to the idea of Jesus being the promised messiah. You know NOTHING about logic, science, truth or peace. You are the brainwashed moron and you are a fine example of the fundamentalist retard closing his eyes to REALITY, in favor of an old idiotic, violent book.
@itssaab Irrelevant, trivial nitpick. You're still NOT a Christian, even though an even GREATER percentage of the world's population belongs to that belief system than yours. 20% of world population is somehow "proof" of the "truth" of Islam but 33% of the human population is NOT proof of the truth of Christianity. Your double standards fly almost as fast and furious as your dishonest evasions of the point.
Oh, and being the messiah means being DIVINE and in Islam, there is no God but Allah.
@DarthServo A messiah (Hebrew: מָשִׁיחַ, Modern Mashiaẖ Tiberian Māšîăḥ “anointed”) is a redeemer figure expected or foretold in one form or another by a religion.
@itssaab If you're not interested in liars then you shouldn't be interested in either yourself OR your religion. You continue to ignore the main point which is your arguments are all logical fallacies.
Exactly WHAT does a HUMAN PROPHET (which is all Islam thinks Jesus is) redeem?
And if Mohamed was the great LAST prophet, why isn't HE mentioned anywhere in the Bible? Oh yeah, everything in THOSE writings you don't like is all dismissed as "corruption of man". And anything stupid or immoral in the quran is dismissed as "we can't question God"--exactly the excuse expected from con-artists who know on some level that they're selling hot air.
And Googling "Hesham Azmy" brings up a page where his response to the idiotic ideas contained in surah 18:86 is "oh yeah, well the Bible says similarly stupid things" thus evading the point--that the quran does NOT contain the wisdom of an omniscient deity but rather the false beliefs of primitive desert nomads. He attempts to explain away the absurdity by arguing the story is from a man's point of view, thus admitting the quran was NOT dictated by any kind of "God".
Another amusing and idiotic argument concerning the arguments of "Hesham Azmy"
"and did not mean that it touches or adheres to them; but they are the first to rise on."
There is no "first" people upon whom the sun rises. Such is only possible if the Earth is FLAT. Thus the attempt to explain away utterly stupid statements in the quran only leads to MORE stupid statements. Hesham Azmy actually quotes a person who thinks the world is FLAT. That's islamic education for you.
@itssaab Already learned enough to know its a load of bullshit and its followers are morons as you have so eloquently demonstrated. You commit one fallacy after another, make excuse after excuse and nitpick MY rebuttals on trivial matters.
GET AN EDUCATION. Stop trusting the writings of ignorant, barbaric iron-age desert savages.
I wonder what Christians believe about who were those misterious women, one never speaks about, that Adam´s (and Eve´s) suns got married with (those wives)?!
@itssaab An all-knowing creator wouldn't have written such a poorly written manuscript with so many errors that can be tampered with by us mere mortals. An all-knowing creator, giving us the most important message of all time would use something more reliable than writing down stories. Wouldn't use books that can be so easily destroyed or manipulated.
The quran has only proven to be a retardant to society. The Muslim world is a backward, barbaric nightmare. Islam has led to horror and violence. It has not produced anything in its ~1300 years of existence. Superstition leads to LESS healthy societies, not more.
I speak exactly how an EDUCATED person does. Science can back up its claims. Yours is the cult that makes dissent punishable by death and demands everything be taken on FAITH (aka gullibility). The fruits of Islam are easily verifiable and it isn't pretty. My education system doesn't inspire anyone to fly planes into buildings. But just keep on making empty boasts. Maybe someday you'll become enlightened enough to see your primitive book for what it is--a collection of primitive fables.
I haven't confused science with evolution. Science is a methodology for understanding the universe that has shown the quran to be complete bullshit. Evolution is a scientific explanation for the diversity of life.
Meanwhile, all you can do is fling insults. Other members of your barbaric religion kill anyone who criticizes your beliefs, draws a picture of Mohamed, burns a copy of your favorite book, etc.
@itssaab "Heaven" is not "universe". Heaven is the destination of righteous souls after death. And other translations have the verse as, "We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof)." The very next verse uses the same language about the Earth and the Earth is most certainly NOT expanding.
Your argument depends on a particular interpretation. Your argument is worthless.
Verse 56: Allah claims to have created jinn. Funny how there is no trace of these magical creatures today.
Verse 60: Allah threatens to punish people for simply not believing a 1700 year old book, an utterly victimless "crime". That alone proves Allah is evil.
In case you hadn't noticed, ALL land vertebrates have two fore-limbs (arms or front legs) which have (initially) five "fingers" on the end. We have those features because we descended from a common ancestor and inherited those traits. How does "Goddidit" explain those things?
Why believe that a seed can grow to a flower and not God? Because the seed can be OBSERVED growing into a flower. The same cannot be said for the nonsense in the Bible.
@RandyWRodrifuez why is the sky blue and not red? i can go on do you believe everything the discovery channel feeds you?. God flooded the earth and Noah survived when they procreated they spread to different areas of the world climates ect. that changed their skin pigment. If a seed can grow to a flower if an egg can fly and sing Why doubt God?
Assuming you opened with what you believe to be your strongest argument it is apparent that your best effort at defending your stance is a false dichotomy. In other words, you assert that since science cannot explain creation God therefore must be the answer. Set that book of myths down and walk into the future with the rest of humanity my brother.
"I am a victim of a series of accidents, as are we all"-Kurt Vonnegut Jr. The odds that the sun is at a certain length from the earth and that the earth has survived billionsof years and that all are parents for generations did certain acts and that our parents were the 1 in a millionth sperm of a one in a millionth sperm. The odds of our existence is so unbelievably small, but that doesn't prove god. We are just extremely unlikely results from the laws of thermodynamics. It is astounding
@RandyWRodrifuez France once a longtime ago kicked out all the real Christians (Puritans) and left the Catholics who aren't believing what real Christianity believes (they believed God had left the earth to govern itself which meant do whatever you damn-well please) and it fell into darkness and what comes next you ask? they fell into a revolution not like America wanting freedom from they're oppressors no it killed many people and created a long war does that not seem like war and destruction?
@PSNBloodraid missing link for years and still hasn't found any evidence that supports that it's true. professor: well it just is! *thinks really hard* kid: sir I'm christian and I think your wrong because your circular reasoning is not true because not one evolutionist has ever been able to prove their reasoning! professor: evolution is real! there has not been any evidence at all of this happening. sorry!
Yes, "God did it" can answer every question in life, removing the need for geology, astronomy, physics, chemistry, the Theory of Evolution, paleontology, cosmology, etc.
But science isn't about "How many questions am I compatible with?" Rather, in science we seek models that IMPLY the data we find. This is why Creationism isn't science: it implies nearly nothing, and what it does imply has been refuted time and time again.
@saved03 well yes that is the goal in life because without it there would be no life to ponder the existence in the first place. our wondering where we came from is just a bi product of our beneficial traits such as intelligence. yes i understand that making it a life's meaning just to live is counter productive but that is really one of very few ways that life could be in the first place. you just said that you will die without dying again..... but the second death...is a conscience death?
@leltard The second death that the Bible talks about is not a physical death but rather a spiritual death for all of eternity. You will be fully aware of your state of being in total darkness by yourself with no one to talk to and no one will ever see you for all eternity. You will be physically alive and be aware like you are now for all of eternity but will spend it forever in total darkness by yourself. This is the second death that the Bible tells about. Matthew 8:12
@leltard However there is a way in which to avoid this eternal darkness. Believe that Jesus Christ was sent by God to die for your sins personally. God does not want you to go to that eternal darkness forever but He will not force you to believe in Jesus Christ and will not drag you kicking and screaming into heaven. His love cannot over ride His justice. If He is not perfect in His justice. Than too is His love not perfect. Which means He is not God. This is your choice to choose not His.
@leltard You do realize how vain survival is? Tell me do you see or hear of the first man created still walking on this Earth? Is not the death rate amoung humans 100%? Why survive when you know that you will die someday down the road? Why stay alive for survival sake when you will not be able to survive the death that awaits you tomorrow? Vainity, Vainity, all is vainity under the sun. No I'm not suicidal, but why focus your life based upon something you will not survive. Death is unavoidable.
well think about it....if something keeps changing bit by bit with inter species variation it will eventually become something else, assuming that the ones without that variation die out and they only have the ones with the advantageous feature to breed with. that's just common sense. and his argument saying there isn't enough time in the universe for that to happen is rediculous unless he's going by the theory that the earth is only 6000 years old which also...has not been proven.
you people are fools how can you buy into this shit the bible is a lie all you have to do to prove this is to read it cover to cover that is where I lost my fath
Energy is really what drives the universe. Complex evolutionary processes are a result of energy from the inception of the universe. The Big Bang is a model of the evolution of the universe NOT a model for the creation. The laws of physics breaks down at time zero. This does not mean God created our universe. It means physicists are unifying quantum mechanics with general relativity....string theory. The universe is composed of vibrating strings of energy. Our universe is a cosmic symphony!
@Thistlesifter220 Are you a retarded idiot still in high school? LOL. And yes I am a Junior in college however I did not learn any of this from any of my classes. I read a lot and formulate my beliefs based on my reading. Of course you wouldn't understand because you still read at a juvenile level. ROFL.
Cool story, bro. This is kind of in the same category of steampunk, a sub-genre of science fiction, speculative fiction, and alternate reality.
Or Mormonism, where American Indians are the descendants of Jews. You've got some serious plotholes to plug up, however, and you don't really offer any reasonable alternatives to evolution.
Neat idea, though. It inspires me to want to make up my own pseudo-history and magical explanations for reality.
So what does that prove? My plumber can't answer questions about what is or is not tax-deductible, so does that discredit them as a plumber? No, not at all. Just as evolution's inability to answer those questions does not in any way discredit it as a scientific theory.
@SeruQuik Evolution doesnt answer where the universe came from! It doesnt know how life arose! It doesn't explain how all those dead hookers showed up in my closet! It doesnt say where the bread goes when I put it in the toaster and toast pops out.
@PratosKS No, actually the video asserts that the Bible can answer questions that evolution cannot. Evolutionists try to interpret the evidence, in a twisted manner, as if it supports the idea that one animal can turn into another, which cannot happen. Although God did create flexibility within His creation out of necessity, thus we have adaptation. The man in the video knows God. It is sad that people are so duped by the propaganda machine and its machinations, such as evolution.
@Thistlesifter220 "Evolutionist" is a demeaning term used by radical Christians to try and bring science down to the level of religion. Organisms change over time. Anyone who disputes that is crazy or ignorant.
@Thistlesifter220 What happens when one population of a species gets separated from another population, by a land form or something else. Then over millions of years the organisms change and change, but never get to interbreed between them?
@godlynessdog You mean if one population of species is somehow split in to two populations of species? It would depend on the environment of each location to which the split population was separated. If the birds on one island had nice soft fruit to pick seeds from their beaks would likely change one way, while if the other birds that ended up on an island that had hard woody buds that held seed at the core, then those birds would likey end up with long hard narrow beaks. Only a variation....
@Thistlesifter220 No. It's not "a variation." This is what Darwin was studying in The Galapagos. Eventually, the two populations change so much that the two population can't interbreed. That is a how a new species is made.
@godlynessdog No, it is a variation. Even if the two could no longer breed (and I do not know if what you're saying is even true). One didn't turn into a dog and the other a cat, they're still both variations of the same species - finches. Why WOULD they breed? Moreover, why can two different species of cats (lions and tigers) breed? It doesn't matter why... for some reason they can - the same way (if what you're saying is true) for some reason the finches cannot.
@Thistlesifter220 Although lions and tigers can breed successfully, they can not produce fertile offspring. That is precisely what makes them different species. A species is a group of organisms that have a common ancestry and can reproduce amongst each other and make FERTILE offspring. The "liger" you may hear about is absolutely sterile, but it has brought up interesting questions about the definition of life, but that is beside the point. Variation is not the word used for what you are...
@Thistlesifter220 describing. You are thinking of subspecies (different breeds of dogs and cats), but then again subspecies can still reproduce in between each other and have fertile offspring if not prohibited by physical capability to mate traditionally (Ex: Great Dane trying to mate with a Chihuahua). But, once again, I'm suggesting two populations of the same species that are separated for 100's of generations and adapt on their own without ever interbreeding between the two populations.
@Thistlesifter220 If you can not admit this is plausible IF NOT happening right now, you're simply turning a blind eye to the truth. Organisms adapt, spread out, and diversify. That is the basis of Evolution.
@godlynessdog I agree with that.... but that is different than an animal turning into another species of animal. Consider, when engineers make blue prints for a sky scraper, they have to factor in the wind at the high altitudes at the top floor. They make the building flexible. Would a Creator make things less genius, or more genius? Genetic flexibility, changing seasons, orchestrating ecosystems are all necessary for it all to work... from outer space to the molecular level.... Prove God first.
@Thistlesifter220 No. It's not different. As soon as a population of organisms changes so much that they can't reproduce with the original species and create fertile offspring, a new species has been created.
While certainly thought-provoking, all five of these posited questions are irrelevant with regards to evolution. Evolution addresses the genetic diversity of living organisms, no more and no less. Asking these five questions of evolution is like asking a plumber to handle your tax returns. While the questions are worthy of conversation and investigation, challenging proponents of evolution to use the theory to answer these questions is one large red herring.
Under the hegemony of empiricism there are NO empirical proofs of evolution so it is not even an established law yet under the atheist religion of scientism it is the special pleading that evolution is proof of the absence of God. The poverty of empiricism is limited so when atheists sneak in an ontological argument from evolution they enter the level playing field of ontic reasoning. The postmodern anti-rationalist atheist then don't allow meta-physics thus establish their paradoxical nature.
even if evolution doesnt exsist what is there to say that religion does? a book is not proof of anything it sounds like it was written by people with mental disorders. hearing voices? seeing things? to me it seems like the bible was written by schitzos. people writing down theyve seen or heard things doesnt make it true so the bible means nothing.

You're a liar.

@DarthServo liar?
you seem to jump to conclusions before understand anything
this is the last one of your deceptive quesitons im answering you need to read i see no such verse in my quran tell me which one of your angry friends did?
surah 18:86 speak of the sun setting in a black sea.
btw Hesham Azmy learn about him and what he does
itssaab 9 months ago
@itssaab Regardless of which translation of the quran you use, it still scientifically WRONG. The sun doesn't set in ANY of Earth's water bodies. Allah was DEAD WRONG on this point. It was common thinking in the time the quran was written, and thus the book was clearly NOT written by any omniscient being, but rather written by an ignoramus who thought the sun is smaller than the Earth, that the sun travels through the sky each day, and that the Earth is flat. The quran is WRONG. Accept it.

@DarthServo it seems my words fell on death ears

itssaab 9 months ago
"it seems my words fell on death ears"
Plain English translation, "I can't refute your points so I'll insult you instead."
"you dont want truth you want satisfaction"
You have failed to demonstrate ANY truth in the quran. You just preach and ignore everything that proves your religion is wrong.
"the quran is only pure in arabic"
You'd think an omniscient deity wouldn't have written such a limited book that works in only one language. Such favoritism is NOT the trait of a just being.
DarthServo 9 months ago
"youll realize why 20% of the world is muslim"
Appeal to popularity fallacy. An even GREATER percent of the world is Christian (~33%). Yet you don't let THAT convert you to the idea of Jesus being the promised messiah. You know NOTHING about logic, science, truth or peace. You are the brainwashed moron and you are a fine example of the fundamentalist retard closing his eyes to REALITY, in favor of an old idiotic, violent book.
DarthServo 9 months ago
@DarthServo wrong we believe jesus is the messiah
understand a religon than criticize dont even reply
itssaab 9 months ago
@itssaab Irrelevant, trivial nitpick. You're still NOT a Christian, even though an even GREATER percentage of the world's population belongs to that belief system than yours. 20% of world population is somehow "proof" of the "truth" of Islam but 33% of the human population is NOT proof of the truth of Christianity. Your double standards fly almost as fast and furious as your dishonest evasions of the point.
Oh, and being the messiah means being DIVINE and in Islam, there is no God but Allah.
DarthServo 9 months ago
@DarthServo A messiah (Hebrew: מָשִׁיחַ, Modern Mashiaẖ Tiberian Māšîăḥ “anointed”) is a redeemer figure expected or foretold in one form or another by a religion.
dont reply im not interested in liars
itssaab 9 months ago
@itssaab If you're not interested in liars then you shouldn't be interested in either yourself OR your religion. You continue to ignore the main point which is your arguments are all logical fallacies.
Exactly WHAT does a HUMAN PROPHET (which is all Islam thinks Jesus is) redeem?
DarthServo 9 months ago
And if Mohamed was the great LAST prophet, why isn't HE mentioned anywhere in the Bible? Oh yeah, everything in THOSE writings you don't like is all dismissed as "corruption of man". And anything stupid or immoral in the quran is dismissed as "we can't question God"--exactly the excuse expected from con-artists who know on some level that they're selling hot air.
DarthServo 9 months ago
And Googling "Hesham Azmy" brings up a page where his response to the idiotic ideas contained in surah 18:86 is "oh yeah, well the Bible says similarly stupid things" thus evading the point--that the quran does NOT contain the wisdom of an omniscient deity but rather the false beliefs of primitive desert nomads. He attempts to explain away the absurdity by arguing the story is from a man's point of view, thus admitting the quran was NOT dictated by any kind of "God".
DarthServo 9 months ago
Another amusing and idiotic argument concerning the arguments of "Hesham Azmy"
"and did not mean that it touches or adheres to them; but they are the first to rise on."
There is no "first" people upon whom the sun rises. Such is only possible if the Earth is FLAT. Thus the attempt to explain away utterly stupid statements in the quran only leads to MORE stupid statements. Hesham Azmy actually quotes a person who thinks the world is FLAT. That's islamic education for you.

The fruits of Islam are easily verifiable and it isn't pretty. My education system doesn't inspire anyone to fly planes into buildings. But just keep on making empty boasts. Maybe someday you'll become enlightened enough to see your primitive book for what it is--a collection of primitive fables.

@DarthServo dont confuse science with evolution

I haven't confused science with evolution. Science is a methodology for understanding the universe that has shown the quran to be complete bullshit. Evolution is a scientific explanation for the diversity of life.
Meanwhile, all you can do is fling insults. Other members of your barbaric religion kill anyone who criticizes your beliefs, draws a picture of Mohamed, burns a copy of your favorite book, etc.

itssaab 9 months ago
@itssaab "Heaven" is not "universe". Heaven is the destination of righteous souls after death. And other translations have the verse as, "We have built the heaven with might, and We it is Who make the vast extent (thereof)." The very next verse uses the same language about the Earth and the Earth is most certainly NOT expanding.
Your argument depends on a particular interpretation. Your argument is worthless.

Why believe that a seed can grow to a flower and not God? Because the seed can be OBSERVED growing into a flower. The same cannot be said for the nonsense in the Bible.

How is there not enough time for the universe to create the human life through evolution?
lilangel0072 10 months ago
Oh, shudder...
FiverBeyond 10 months ago
@saved03 well yes that is the goal in life because without it there would be no life to ponder the existence in the first place. our wondering where we came from is just a bi product of our beneficial traits such as intelligence. yes i understand that making it a life's meaning just to live is counter productive but that is really one of very few ways that life could be in the first place. you just said that you will die without dying again..... but the second death...is a conscience death?
leltard 10 months ago
@leltard The second death that the Bible talks about is not a physical death but rather a spiritual death for all of eternity. You will be fully aware of your state of being in total darkness by yourself with no one to talk to and no one will ever see you for all eternity. You will be physically alive and be aware like you are now for all of eternity but will spend it forever in total darkness by yourself. This is the second death that the Bible tells about. Matthew 8:12
saved03 10 months ago
@leltard However there is a way in which to avoid this eternal darkness. Believe that Jesus Christ was sent by God to die for your sins personally. God does not want you to go to that eternal darkness forever but He will not force you to believe in Jesus Christ and will not drag you kicking and screaming into heaven. His love cannot over ride His justice. If He is not perfect in His justice. Than too is His love not perfect. Which means He is not God. This is your choice to choose not His.
saved03 10 months ago
@leltard You do realize how vain survival is? Tell me do you see or hear of the first man created still walking on this Earth? Is not the death rate amoung humans 100%? Why survive when you know that you will die someday down the road? Why stay alive for survival sake when you will not be able to survive the death that awaits you tomorrow? Vainity, Vainity, all is vainity under the sun. No I'm not suicidal, but why focus your life based upon something you will not survive. Death is unavoidable.
saved03 10 months ago
well think about it....if something keeps changing bit by bit with inter species variation it will eventually become something else, assuming that the ones without that variation die out and they only have the ones with the advantageous feature to breed with. that's just common sense. and his argument saying there isn't enough time in the universe for that to happen is rediculous unless he's going by the theory that the earth is only 6000 years old which also...has not been proven.

It inspires me to want to make up my own pseudo-history and magical explanations for reality.
blackadm 11 months ago
@Thistlesifter220
So what does that prove? My plumber can't answer questions about what is or is not tax-deductible, so does that discredit them as a plumber? No, not at all. Just as evolution's inability to answer those questions does not in any way discredit it as a scientific theory.
SeruQuik 11 months ago
@SeruQuik It proves that evolution does not have the answers to life :-)
Thistlesifter220 11 months ago
@SeruQuik Evolution doesnt answer where the universe came from! It doesnt know how life arose! It doesn't explain how all those dead hookers showed up in my closet! It doesnt say where the bread goes when I put it in the toaster and toast pops out.
Evolution doesn't explain ANYTHING! :-p
GallusSapien 11 months ago
@GallusSapien
Bread goes in, toast comes out. Never a miscommunication. You can't explain that.
SeruQuik 11 months ago
@PratosKS No, actually the video asserts that the Bible can answer questions that evolution cannot. Evolutionists try to interpret the evidence, in a twisted manner, as if it supports the idea that one animal can turn into another, which cannot happen. Although God did create flexibility within His creation out of necessity, thus we have adaptation. The man in the video knows God. It is sad that people are so duped by the propaganda machine and its machinations, such as evolution.
:-)
Thistlesifter220 11 months ago
@Thistlesifter220 There is no such thing as an "evolutionist".
godlynessdog 11 months ago
@godlynessdog Okay.... if you say so :-)
Thistlesifter220 11 months ago
@Thistlesifter220 "Evolutionist" is a demeaning term used by radical Christians to try and bring science down to the level of religion. Organisms change over time. Anyone who disputes that is crazy or ignorant.
godlynessdog 11 months ago
@godlynessdog I never considered it as being demeaning... and I still don't. Quit being so damned PC. How ridiculous.....
Agreed, things change over time - they have to - that is different than one species turning into another species, which cannot happen.
Thistlesifter220 11 months ago
@Thistlesifter220 What happens when one population of a species gets separated from another population, by a land form or something else. Then over millions of years the organisms change and change, but never get to interbreed between them?
godlynessdog 11 months ago
@godlynessdog You mean if one population of species is somehow split in to two populations of species? It would depend on the environment of each location to which the split population was separated. If the birds on one island had nice soft fruit to pick seeds from their beaks would likely change one way, while if the other birds that ended up on an island that had hard woody buds that held seed at the core, then those birds would likey end up with long hard narrow beaks. Only a variation....
Thistlesifter220 11 months ago
@Thistlesifter220 No. It's not "a variation." This is what Darwin was studying in The Galapagos. Eventually, the two populations change so much that the two population can't interbreed. That is a how a new species is made.
godlynessdog 10 months ago
@godlynessdog No, it is a variation. Even if the two could no longer breed (and I do not know if what you're saying is even true). One didn't turn into a dog and the other a cat, they're still both variations of the same species - finches. Why WOULD they breed? Moreover, why can two different species of cats (lions and tigers) breed? It doesn't matter why... for some reason they can - the same way (if what you're saying is true) for some reason the finches cannot.
Thistlesifter220 10 months ago
@Thistlesifter220 Although lions and tigers can breed successfully, they can not produce fertile offspring. That is precisely what makes them different species. A species is a group of organisms that have a common ancestry and can reproduce amongst each other and make FERTILE offspring. The "liger" you may hear about is absolutely sterile, but it has brought up interesting questions about the definition of life, but that is beside the point. Variation is not the word used for what you are...
godlynessdog 10 months ago
@Thistlesifter220 describing. You are thinking of subspecies (different breeds of dogs and cats), but then again subspecies can still reproduce in between each other and have fertile offspring if not prohibited by physical capability to mate traditionally (Ex: Great Dane trying to mate with a Chihuahua). But, once again, I'm suggesting two populations of the same species that are separated for 100's of generations and adapt on their own without ever interbreeding between the two populations.
godlynessdog 10 months ago
@Thistlesifter220 If you can not admit this is plausible IF NOT happening right now, you're simply turning a blind eye to the truth. Organisms adapt, spread out, and diversify. That is the basis of Evolution.
godlynessdog 10 months ago
@godlynessdog I agree with that.... but that is different than an animal turning into another species of animal. Consider, when engineers make blue prints for a sky scraper, they have to factor in the wind at the high altitudes at the top floor. They make the building flexible. Would a Creator make things less genius, or more genius? Genetic flexibility, changing seasons, orchestrating ecosystems are all necessary for it all to work... from outer space to the molecular level.... Prove God first.
Thistlesifter220 10 months ago
@Thistlesifter220 No. It's not different. As soon as a population of organisms changes so much that they can't reproduce with the original species and create fertile offspring, a new species has been created.
godlynessdog 10 months ago
While certainly thought-provoking, all five of these posited questions are irrelevant with regards to evolution. Evolution addresses the genetic diversity of living organisms, no more and no less. Asking these five questions of evolution is like asking a plumber to handle your tax returns. While the questions are worthy of conversation and investigation, challenging proponents of evolution to use the theory to answer these questions is one large red herring.
SeruQuik 11 months ago
Under the hegemony of empiricism there are NO empirical proofs of evolution so it is not even an established law yet under the atheist religion of scientism it is the special pleading that evolution is proof of the absence of God. The poverty of empiricism is limited so when atheists sneak in an ontological argument from evolution they enter the level playing field of ontic reasoning. The postmodern anti-rationalist atheist then don't allow meta-physics thus establish their paradoxical nature.
