dubstep was created in 1999 by el-b, steve gurley, oris jay ...it was created by combining jamaican dub music and london 2step, with alot of influence from uk garage, hip hop... it was set on a 140bpm beat, similar to hip hop, and a sub-bass, not overpitched skrillex fart noises. skrillex is not dubstep, he makes brostep, a sub-genre of dubstep....so please, don't hate on dubstep, first listen to people like digital mystikz,skream,radikal guru,benga,kode9...
