Yeah....I discovered some of these home recordings a couple years ago. As a fan I was so cool to hear them. I always wonder if Elvis is rolling over in his grave thinking that these recordings that he probably didn't want a soul to ever hear are now public for everyone. But, then again his fans are getting enjoyment from them right so I think that would make him happy.
Elvis actually recorded "Old McDonald Had A Farm" everybody got screwed with Parker being his manager. The fact that Elvis never toured Europe because Parker couldn't get a passport.
If you remember Gunsmoke, and Festus whose real name was KEN CURTIS, sings Tumbling Tumbleweeds. VERY VERY GOOD. I never knew he could sing but he took Frank Sinatra's place when Sinatra left and went on his own. Ken Curtis also sang with the SONS OF THE PIONEERS AND THE SEARCHERS.
its weird, even though elvis voice is not so loud here, its the most clear in my ears, there is noone like elvis, soooo beautiful in all ways, the most beautiful and talented, ever to walk this earth!<3
This song was recorded in Hollywood at Elvis' residence at Rocca Place in early 1966 . The recording was probably made by Red West on his private potable reel-to-reel recorder under very informal conditions and was never meant for any publication . This version was released by BMG on the cd The Home Recorgings in 1999 .
Love this. Never heard it with Elvis. Beautiful... Was there a song that Elvis didn't sing or record?? He must have known literally thousands of songs from gospel to just about everything else.. lolol
How brill are u??? I love Elvis, never heard this one before...........I prefer his rarer stuff rather than the Jailhouse Rock, stuff that he did.............He was and always will be "THE KING" xxx
Wow! I agree with all previous quotes... I never heard this and I am a HUGE Evis fan - I was president of one of his fan clubs when I was only 12. We started every meeting by playing Heartbreak Hotel while looking at a picture of him. **sign** Memories. Thank you so00 much for posting this!
I thought Ive heard all Elvis stuff - well, I was wrong...Probably more to dig out from the Gold Mine called Elvis...The King!!! Long live his memory.
Every time I think I've heard everything Elvis ever sang and saw every picture ever taken of him, I see and hear a video like this..unbelievable! I really enjoyed it! Thanks for posting! :)
Jaime, this song is from the 1999 BMG/RCA USA CD "The Home Recordings". It's definitely a must buy. I own that CD, it's filled with very hard to find Elvis homerecordings. Elvis' rendition of Tumblin' Tumbleweeds was absolutely perfect. There are so many perfect Elvis homerecordings. All of those photographs totally rocked. Thank you so very much for accepting my request Anna, 5 Stars. I've already sent this perfect video to oty50elvis.
I don't think that this CD is sold in American music stores anymore. I think that it's only available on the internet now, especially e-bay. I doubt that Elvis' official website sells it, but, I could be wrong. I bought this CD at a music store several years ago, I forget which one.
There is not a song that this man could not sing and make it Golden. Miss you always....
