Very cool, love the music, True Grit is on the list as a 'must see in the Cinema' film for me. Love that Californian light, vivid, warm, hazy and sparkly. Nice. Here the light is mostly grey and then some.....it really sucks. I could watch you video's all day...but I must get back to work......!
@dubinthedam I agree....True Grit is a must see in the theater. Those huge panoramas the Coen Brothers capture throughout the film can only be done justice by a large canvas. It was really fun to see.
Great vid! You have the "eye" and great editing skills. Loved the score as well. Man, I could never live in a place like that though. It takes me 12 minutes to walk to our nearest theater. :)
@Flieger671 Thanks Mike!!!! And just so you know, it doesn't help to hear how good you have it....LOL...j/k. Ya once I heard that music I fell in love....it seemed to fit perfectly with how it felt to make that drive. Thanks for the comment!!
@TristownDynamite Ya we do...but not nearly as cool as that one. The experience is so good there that we haven't gone to a different theater in about 3-4 years. It's worth the drive.....sometimes.
@bahumutx It's worth it when the movie is good enough. Once you get into Hollywood, it's still pretty easy to get caught up in the whole "Magic of Hollywood Moviemaking" vibe.
Can't say I miss that horseshit. LA seriously ruined me to be able to enjoy going to a movie. Worst part about it is once you get in the theater (one hour from house departure) people forget they just paid $25 for a movie and popcorn. They then proceed to openly talk during the movie and get angry when you tell them to shut the fuck up.
@pigeonfarmboy I most definitely agree!! The theater we frequent is very good about not having people talk, etc...usually the people that go there are film lovers and will respect the movie all the way through. Plus, we go during the week in the middle of the day so it's usually pretty empty...just how we like it..hehe.
@pipethought Thanks man!!! And ya gotta drive EVERYWHERE around here too!!!! The only place I've found to be worse is driving through Times Square in Manhattan.....yeeesh.
Man I'm so jealous. You always get so much time to smoke a pipe wile driving. Here were I live the stupid roads are so free of traffic by the time you get the 1st char light done your were you need to be...even it it's CLEAR across town! hehe I bow down, I bow down you are a true master when it come to cinema.
@darfirst Thanks Mark!! Nah....I don't like my car stinkin' of smoke...hehe. Ya it'd be nice to be able to get to where I'm tryin to go much faster.....but at least we don't run into any Raccoon....lol.
when we want to see a movie we leave the house at exactly the time it is scheduled to start, so by the time we get all settled with snacks, the movie is just about to begin. sucker. "HEY, PORN!" lol i love your mini films man, shot with such smarts! love the scene where the cars tire next to you is just barely creeping along...and what was that???a mysterious angle of the wife??? how clever!
@thepypehype Man, that's gotta be nice. Do you get allot of people talkin' through the film?? I hate that crap, and the theater we go to is always really great about that...haven't had one bad experience there. I wasn't sure people would get what Vivid Entertainment was....and did you see how artsy I got by cutting in the church just after it...Ooooooh the balance of Good and Evil.....LOL.
@vasypher don't think i missed the vived building right before the church. i just had sooo much more to say in 500 characters! Opening night of films that teenagers go to is terrible here. but i'm sure that's with everywhere. We go in the afternoon during the week as well. nothing better. We actually take a half hour drive to a really nice theatre as opposed to the neighborhood one. This is the 4th time i watched this BTW
@GothamCitySmoker I agree that's a good way to go about it. We'll take chances every now and then....if we happen to get on a freeway and traffic is moving along well, it takes us half the time than going through the city. Thanks for the comment.
@dighsx Tell me about it...We're about 25 miles away and it took us over 2 hours to get there. Hence the excitement to get the hell out of this city...lol.

@vasypher Every time I come to the city I laugh how to go 5 miles takes me the same amount of time as it does to go 20+ in the country.
I've never been out to California, one of these days I'll have to get out there just to look around.
