How do you wall tech when you're being smashed away from the wall? How does that work? 0.o

from what I know, you have to smash DI towards the wall and tech it (press R). You can also tech walljump which is usually better cause it gets you off and above the edge. Smash DI is kind of like a special kind of DI that has to be hit right when you're hit - so basically, you have to be anticipating the hit.

If you look up perfect control 2, there's a part with luigi is repeatedly and perfectly smash DI'ing back into fox's shine.

How consistent are you really with the SWD? Those followups can't possibly be on reaction, so I'd think you'd have to get it at least 75% of the time to be anticipating your next move.

From 7:08 to 7:10, how did she turn in the middle of a N-Air attack? Other than that, I can't believe that there are still so many people who can use the super wave dash so easily. You have to count up to, I think, 41 and 42 frames to do that. Damn!

It always makes me wonder how players can just count frames like that. The SWD requires you to press one direction in one frame and the opposite direction in the next frame. What the hell?

its not that hard. Some of us can see frames but it doesnt mean we can react fast enough to be frame perfect. fuck, i can see and count frames but my hands still have like 2-3 frames lee-way for most things. it takes me 6-8 frames to move my right thumb to the b button. that means my shdl messes up 1/3 of the time. things like SWD are easier cause its timing and isnt limited by hand speed. i havent tried to SWD in like a year and a half and i did 3 in a row today on my first try.

Yes, drop a bomb and hold a direction. Then, right as you hit the ground, flick the stick in the opposite direction.  When you get better, you do what is reffered to a standing SWD or what Phanna did, just flick both directions, but practice by holding first.
