Is this really the only road going speed 12 ( W112BHG )?? I'm sure tvr still own 1 or 2 ( W312BFV ) I remember seeing a dark blue speed 12 in a private compound could of been for racing it didn't have a spoiler on the back and no side windows because I remember having a good look inside. I know tvr made a 7/12 prototype which they then raced in British gt championship because of a rule change. 7/12 looks a lot better.

Just to correct a few things. There was a second Speed 12 chassis sent to Japan without an engine at the same time this one was respecced for the road. So there are possibly two but only one with the Steel Block V12 nutjob engine.

Oh and the top speed of the car is unknown. Mainly because each test they ran out of runway before the car topped out. I would place money on it being able to beat the Veyron SS with the right gear ratio's ;)

Look - you've already proved you know absolutely fuck all about cars; don't emphasise the fact by posting more drivel. This thing would leave ANY Ferrari for dead (except an F1 car). It is half the weight of a Veyron and has almost the same power and torque. It would lose off the line (only 2 wheel drive) but once it really got the power down at 30-40mph, the Veyron would be toast.

I was parked next to this at Goodwood 2011 and it is the most impressive car I've ever seen.

Nothing beats a Speed twelve. Powerful and simple, though it's engine is akin to a twin inline six more than a v12. Like bolting two Chevrolet 350 v8's together for a V16 xD. If i had a McLaren F1 i'd totally sell it for one of these. It's so gorgeous you want to hump it lol.

The Veyron is for the rich man who has everything and wants what society calls the best. The Speed 12 is for people who actually have a sense of taste n_n, Raw engine over quadturbo any day.

@tevronwizdom i have raced the Veyron agaist the TVR speed 12 on the driving sim GT5 and even though the Veyron has a faster top speed and pull off, the TVR is actually faster on acceleraion. the buggati pulls of the line much faster because it has 4wd. 2nd ot 3rd gear roll on side by side and the TVR pulls in front up untill 210mph then the Veyron goes by. the TVR has a hard time getting a good pull off because it cant grip the road as well as the 4wd buggati. I like the TVR better .

I think it was a cheaper proposition for them to use the Cerbera as a base if they were going to make the Speed 12 available for sale as a road car, but I think most people liked the design of the Speed 12 they first introduced. The Cerbera was a nice car in its own right, but it wasn't what most of us remember as the 'real' Speed 12, even if the 'guts' were still the same. No question - the original Speed 12 looked meaner from all angles....
