And that's just one point though...

You can giv as many thumbs down as you want but the fact is the majority of Filipinos couldnt care less about the environment. One only has to visit Manila to see that. And as a free and democratic person I have every right to express my views whether you like it or not, so KUMASPEX you can fuck off if you dont agree with it.
Insecure bitch. The fact that we participated means we care not only for our country but also in the world! Philippines as a tropical country and the Filipinos as people of the Philippines care for the future of our homeland, well, I did not go to Manila that time but I participated. Duh. As if you know everything. You fuck off and die, the world doesn't need you.

You serious about it that's nice.Pity you are not so serious about taking care of visitors to your lovely Islands. What did you achieve by turning off the lights? Public awareness? With big business killing the earth in the pursuit of more dollars, what does any government do, what does a minority activity group do, they tell us to recycle plastic bottles, they tell us to turn of the lights. Its all nonsense and anyone who believes they are doing something to save the planet has been brainwashed

I read many of the comments and it makes me laugh, we love mother earth etc, anyone who has been to Philippines knows that most people are only concerned for their daily needs and couldnt actually care less about anything. As for turning off the lights, well its just a joke, with constant brownouts even in the capital city and tourist areas turning off the lights is a daily occurrence, so get real people and stop talking bull.
Weve got problems and downs and so with some others countries. But you cant compare your Macau country in my country cause its different, Did you participate then? Its not a joke to us. We serious about it and we enjoy the time. We have strong faith to God and Nature. We made mistakes and we do believe we are the happiest people in earth. Mabuhay ang Pilipinas!!
Ofcourse... we Filipinos still living in the Philippines aren't THAT ignorant about world events. So yah, we participated. Actually, for your information, the Philippines conserved the most energy in the world. :)
I want all the other countries to try to beat our Philippine record next earth hour! lets make this a competition. that would really make some BIG changes! trust me, if each country would just try to compete for being the highest in registered participation of earth hour each year, then the stats would keep on getting BIGGER and with BETTER results!
Next year I'm thinking of giving out some token of appreciation for households in my small community who will participate in Earth Hour 2010. So I need to save up some money. ^ ^
I overheard someone in my community say "Don't we turn off our lights every night and isn't that helping Mother Nature already?"
He doesn't understand that it's not just about helping by switching off the lights, it's more like a message. Together we voice out our concern through that action and it shows that we are willing to help and are concerned with what's going on.
We didn't do it to send a message only to people; the message is for our environment.
Nice to know how the Philippines and Filipinos are concerned on global warming. Switching off lights may not solve global warming and climate change immediately or effectively but its a cool move. What the world need now is that all its residents switch off negative and waste thoughts. As the saying goes : As you think so you are and as you are so is the world around you. Learn to switch ON positive and constructive thoughts. Pinoy rules...!
oo nga pla kaya ko nasabi yun dahil sa bawat lugar na makikita ko ay EARTH HOUR! at kita naman sa video na maraming nakisali sa pagbibigay regalo sa Inang Mundo...
