That's what happpens when you smoke (pot) and drink rum & coke all day...

It also has to do with where you put the microphone... I'd guess that in this, and alot of other clips, they have a smalll mic put somewhere just under the throat. Then you get alot of deep sounds into the mic directly from the throat....
