  • In Soviet Russia, gold rusts.

  • Sneaky Fucking goldthieves

  • Always have to double and triple check the product - governments are made up of people - they lie, cheat, and steal.

  • .I dont think that this way of cheating can happen in western countries. They cheat in much more sophisticated way, like silver price manipulation and gold price manipulation...JP morgan...Cheers

  • I understand , this can happen in communist and ex comminist countries like Russia. I am from Croatia. These countries have a unique ways how to cheat people. And gouvernments are very corrupted and evil. Here in Croatia taxes on precious metals are up to 60 % . In EU ,.. Slovenia , Italy , Austria, for gold there are no taxes , and for silver there is tax as you know.

    So we shop in EU...

  • Couldn't this be the .1 of copper used in the coin to give it some strength just happens to be on the surface????

  • @Moore983 no I don't think brass, acid eats brass , this amalgam will resist acid for a short time the the acid will eat it the only way to test this metal is long term exposure to acid or test the electronic resistance of Gold

  • those coins are an amalgam of Gold and tungsten I think 10% Gold 90 % tungsten Nobel Metals are suppost to be the only metals that can be blended ,but I think that someone has found a catalyst that allows non nobel metals to be blended , the acid teat is the only sure test , try that let me know what happens

  • So here it is 4 months later.... was there ever ANY result with the assay on these? It was fun to juice the minds of the conspiracists, and many people got excited by this video. But don't be afraid to reveal the results. If the coins were OK, then it's just as important we know that - regardless if it deflates the scandal to a dud. I know our PM community loves scandals - but the truth is the most important thing, regardless of outcome. Would love to see a followup video. Thanks.

  • 0:43 looks like Mr. Maloney is not convinced..

  • Probably that World Trade Centre Gold... wonder what happened to all that Gold... must have been shipped off with all the rest of the 'scrap steel' to China.

  • @ejbh3160 it went to the same place that the Gold stolen from fort knox went

  • Beam me up, Scotty...this planet is crazy!

  • gold doesnt rust lol you got bamboozled sorry mate !

  • Its possible that when the original blanks coins were made into the russian coin steel residue transfered from the die to the coin.

  • @acidhead43 even then gold does not rust if it is pure gold. The coins those guys are demonstrating probably have some kind of iron in the mixture. Im guessing the metal is fools gold mixed with iron to give weight. That is why I am currently sticking with silver less likely it will be counterfeit.

  • Have to send the coin out of the country to determine purity? Oh my, I guess gold testing devices and acid are prohibited in Russia.

  • @goldhunting No-the Russian guy in the vid said that the Russian assay office scientists are afraid of issuing an official statement against the official Russian currency, for fear that they may just 'disappear' in the middle of the night by Russian men-in-black. Stands to reason in a police state where corruption is really bad I suppose.

  • the buffalo coins, the maples, all have seen red spotting, search the web, and these are 24kt, 9999 , we should face it that gold does tone...cant test a coin in russia is bs too, i dont like this video.....making something out of nothing

  • The fact that the central banks won't buy them back is super shady; it seems they know the worth of their own products. With the prices of metals right now, it would be so easy for mints and refineries to include other materials (copper, tin, iron, etc...) with their gold to save money. Dishonesty and Greed will bring a lot of people to their downfall. Actually it's already happening.

Thank you for your videos Dan. You do great work!

  • @QualitySilverBullion Thanks QSB, yeah that is exactly what freaks me out too. If I had bought these coins myself and watched them rust in front of eyes, then was told to go jump from the central bank where I bought them from....I WOULD BE SPEWING

  • LOL, You cant make proper analysis in Russia? BS!

  • Interesseting story, what if now comes out, 1Oz Gold coins are easy manipulatable?

  • @TeunisD Scary thought...

  • Hi Dan,

Do those 2 coins, weight and measured the same? What date did the coin stamped on?

  • @chimpanchu Still trying to get in contact so I can get the assay results...

  • haha, someone got screwed :p

  • Look forward to the conclusion to this story.

  • very interesting

  • @visionvictory Thanks

  • I got a question for Mike. And something I would like to point out to all the silver and gold bugs. And everyone who is concerned about people out of work in the US. MINT FACT: "Congress requires the Mint to procure the gold for its Eagle bullion coins from newly mined U.S. deposits, the Mint then ships that gold to Australia to be made into blanks. Then, the fabricated blanks are later shipped back to the United States for the production of coins." Why in the HELL would we do that????

  • @IdigHistoryVideo Continued: In a country out of work. Why do we keep sending work overseas. We can't even produce the blanks for gold coins here? This raises some eyebrows to me. I know gold is gold. But, just like everything else. We even cut corners on producing these coins. Why has this been overlooked, and not mentioned? Everyone talks about manipulation. And we know the gold eagle costs more. And its made cheaper. It would be easy as hell to roll, and produce blanks here.

  • @IdigHistoryVideo Great points and question, next time we do a video response q &a, could you possibly make a video with this question?

  • @whygoldandsilver Yeah, just let me know when you are going to do one?

  • All that glitters is not gold.... ROLF!

Not that it is funny at all...what a disgusting thing for the St Petersburg mint to have gotten into... shame on them

  • @felixdov Maybe they had no choice and were forced to, under threat of being sent to the salt mines along with their whole family. Who knows what shady goings-on go on in some countries all in the pursuit of easy money huh?

  • are these guys still alive?

  • @catpedia Affirmative

  • When you buy the gold... Test the volume, test the weight!!

  • @1111norton Tungsten & Gold have the same weight to 1000 th of a pound. Weighing is won't help. Imagine how much fake gold coins, bars, ingots, etc.....we'll see when gold is over $1500 an ounce.

  • @pikeasaurusrex The stories on tungsten bars always seem to be clamped down and not circuated. That means there must be some truth to them! Oh dear...

  • very interesting video.

    thank you for posting.

  • @mrmohsensaman No sweat, stay tuned for the assay results...

  • @whygoldandsilver.

My spidey sense tells me that there won't be an assay on these...

Or else we would have had some assay results by now....

    Oh, well

  • sodium hydroxide + Zinc Sulfate + Zinc Metal + heat on copper coin= fake gold coin

  • Great video.

  • @A1373S9865 Thank you

  • this russian probably didn't WEIGH the gold...

    HELLO!??!?!?!?!?

  • @Donninator1 We await the assay results...

  • @whygoldandsilver I love your channel and the videos you bring to it..

a simple weight test on a $10.00 scale should be one of the first indicators of something being wrong... no?

  • @Donninator1 They coins are very small so it would require some super duper scientific scales to do this. The assay results should reveal all...

  • What do you guys think? Please help to spread this video, Ivan and Mike have gone out on a limb making this so please rate and comment...do you think that this is really .999 fine gold as stated on the coin?

  • Great, and thanks for the subtitles.

  • Incredible. They couldn't settle for tungsten-filled counterfeits. In my day...

Looking forward to the results, and be careful in Russia.

  • Why hoard gold when it the most counterfeited of all metals? It's not cost effective to counterfeit a $20 silver coin and it's extremeley undervalued in price.

Why hoard gold when silver is rare?

  • @SILVERisRare completely agree with you. right now most of the coin counterfeiting going on is in the gold coin market. Silver is the way to go at this time. The metal is way undervalued and you notice how quickly the price is rising the worse the news gets. Some people already saying we may be seeing 50 dollars an ounce within early next year 2011. Dont be suprised to see 200 an ounce of silver by 2012. there is already talk about TARP 2.0 another 1-4 trillion dollars.

  • I've seen a similar rust on a candian maple leaf 1 Oz coin. Now I am buying only australian lunars and nuggets, an I haven't experienced any problems with them yet

  • soon the same thing will happen here in america soon. dont be surprised. america is a police state in the making.

  • Wow, thank you so much for your work Mike

  • In Soviet Russia, coin flips YOU!

  • Great video...again. This is really interesting. Is there more coins like this one? Is it possible that they had a cross mixing of alloyies in the minting? Maybe a plancet had other metals that got struck in that die by mistake? Hope to hear more about it. If russia was making fools gold...then WOW! Thats huge! Anyway thanks for posting more from Mike Maloney. He is the guy I always listen to. Very smart. So thanks for posting more from him.

  • @IdigHistoryVideo We'll do a follow up as soon as the results are available. Thanks heaps for the comment. Dan

  • Love Peace Justice

    LibertyPoet

    website

  • @campaign4liberty I have lost my C4L hoodie but will order a new one soon! My Ron Paul T shirt has been on tour through 15 countries this year! Dan

  • Disturbing, and definitely a story to keep watching. Thanks for reporting!!!!

  • @drutter No sweat big D

  • Unbelievable.

  • What? A crooked Government, ripping off the people? No way man, no way !! Lol.

  • @raspberrybaggio Haha, yeah who would have thought? =)

  • I am wondering if their is any weight difference between the St. Petersburg and the Moscow gold coins.

  • @mb2400 I'm sure that will be noted in the assay...

  • No mystery to me, they are fake. No surprise either.

  • hmm ...this guy will probably end up having a bad accident...

  • If Mike is still in Russia I hope he is careful around the government there. They have a reputation for being ruthless...

  • @whiteraven1 He should be back in the States by now. Dan

  • Like diamonds & qubit zirconia, a little flaw makes it worth more!

Women also must be a little flawed, or they wouldn't be with you!

    Who wants perfection?

  • @TABOOVSKNOWLEDGE You should be on Wall Street!

  • It is most likely not a fraud. Just some mixture with copper or something. The early Maple Leafs also had these issues too, because they were only 99.9% instead of 99.99%. So many of them got these "golden spots" on them that perhaps occurred during the pressing process of copper with gold. See mlcoins dot com slash 1.php

  • Wait. i am lost, what did the Russian man say about gold buying in Russia/?

  • @Romulan112 I have English subtitles for this but I have them turned off as we are doing some experiments with Spanish at the moment. Send me a PM with your emaila address and I'll send you an english transcription

  • I think Mike jumped the gun on this one maybe. It's very possible that Russians being Russian, stored the coins in some rusting old metal box or safe somewhere and it is rust staining transferred rather than corrosion from the coin itself.

If they had just weighed it then that should have given a better indication, but they made no mention of doing this. I dont believe the Russian govt would be dumb enough to dish out rusting base metal coins plated in a thin gold plate!

  • @geniusmarketing08 Yeah we'll just have to wait and see. I don't think they will be complete fakes, but I don't think that they are all as advertised at .999 We'll see...

  • That smells like fraud.

  • No Russian coins for me!

  • If the coins prove to be anything other than .999, people will be Russian to sell them that's for sure! Dan

  • WOW! and WOW! Those are clearly fake coins, I can't wait for the conclusion of this.

  • It's bad enough gov't counterfeit paper money, now Gold...WTF?

  • @codematrix WTF alright!

  • Love Mike Maloney. He presents the facts. How does gold get rust? Sounds like Russian Central Bank is doing something shaddy.

  • @PeaktoPeakMktg That's the whole point yes...gold does not rust and that's why it is the ultimate money.

  • Is it possible to get one of those jewellers specs thing to check the coins?

  • @gmonka04 Not sure how the assay will be carried out but I'm guessing they'll be using one of those xray rigs...Dan

  • Wow. This type of behavior goes back to the Roman era. I just didnt think it would take place in our era....but as 1king1918 says- Governments are the original counterfeiters....Great vid and so important to let the rest of the investing public know about this....

  • Good to know that they shouldn't be trusted.

  • Interesting counterfeits!

  • O My God !..... That is serious stuff if there is counterfeiting Gold. Gold Does NOT Corrode or rust! lol Holy Shit.

  • @TheSilverWatch 999 gold won't rust, that's right

  • @whygoldandsilver They are supposed to be minted at .900 & other metals added for strenght, still though rust?

The results from the diagnosis should be really interesting to say the least

  • @IronicallyVague I just realized who I replied to lol.....I was telling you? heh

  • @whygoldandsilver Dan, you must be having Sooo much fun doing these videos with Mike Maloney. This new snippet really takes the cake.....Fake Gold Issued by the St Petersburg Mint ? I think a few people are gonna get their asses Kicked Very Soon and Very Hard! lmfao !!!

  • @TheSilverWatch Thanks SilverWatch, yes I am pinching myself daily. To be at the coalface of this stuff is amazing, thanks so much for the comment. As for the coins being completely fake...I doubt it. I think that what we will find is a purity less than the .999 stated on the coins. Which I guess in effect is fake, but what I'm saying is I don't think they are filled with tungsten. Chocolate maybe, but not tungsten =)

  • Stick with Canadian gold...

  • Governments are the original counterfeiters.

  • @1kings1918 Good point. Like Ron Paul said on counterfeiting, "Why is it that the government is allowed to do, what we're not allowed to do?"

  • @1kings1918 You got it!

  • Where did this 'russian coin dealer' order these coins from? If he can prove they came directly from a Russian mint, there will be Big Problems.

  • @BMWg84 From the Central Bank Of Russia

  • They are fake. There is no other conclusion.

  • Comment removed

  • Hmmm.... Makes me wonder if coins from earlier years will start demanding an higher spot than 2009/2010....

  • Hmmm.... Makes me wonder if coins from earlier years will start demanding an higher spot than 2009/2010....

  • they're fake.

  • @itubeutude We'll see...

  • Faving it now. Question, what happens when the newly tested coin comes back with the report that they have been mucking about with the coins minted in the St. Petersburg refinery. What will be the drawback or reaction in the markets? Any insights on that?

Thanks for the up load and time on this Mike.

  • @TheReallitycheck Good question. I won't be going back to Russia to ask if taht happens! Dan

  • Great Story / Silverbugs is spreading this Interesting breaking news. can't wait to get the video

  • @silverjunky999 thank you bugs

  • I had a proof 1980 half sovereign checked last week. I thought it looked the wrong colour when compared to my other coins.

I went to the jeweller and they took it to Birmingham(UK) to get checked by a special machine. Turns out it was genuine 22carat gold so maybe the colour is particular to proof coins or something else has reacted and contacted the coin.

The lady said the machine was like an xray machine and can tell what metals are present.

Those coins look very dodgey though.

  • @stuntpea can't wait to hear the results on the assay...

  • Imagine that.... poor russian quality control

  • @frontier1701 That's harsh =)

  • Thank you for this video!

  • Please spread this video far and wide...we've gone out on a limb here so help us by rating, sharing, faving. Cheers, Dan

  • Simly amazing...

  • No problem, It's only Russian Gold Fatigue

  • @IronicallyVague RGF! Ha! =D

  • it's either gross impurity or an outright fraud. Melt the coins down and see what filters out at various melting points.

Probably a bad job of gold electroplating a fraudulent slug.

  • @operator223 the assay results will be interesting that's for sure

  • @operator223 Hmmm it will be interesting to hear the assay report

  • I've had gold jewelry do things like this, and IT IS STILL REAL, but only 14K, or 58.5% real gold, so the other metals will affect this. It'll be interesting to see if the coins are fake, or if they are a low karat.

  • @TheLiddlekiddle Hmmm not a good sign though when these are supposed to be .999! Uh oh...

  • Thanks for the head up Mr. Maloney. Interesting stuff...

  • @adventuresineurope No worries Mr Adventurer, I'll pass your thanks on to Mike. Cheers, Dan

  • @whygoldandsilver Thanks pal. You guys are doing great work!

  • Thanks for bringing this info' to us, Mike. Worrying stuff!. He seems like a very smart chap, and also rather brave considering the subject matter and the fact that this interview was conducted in Russia.

On a seperate note; I find the design and size of those coins interesting as they appear to be very similar to the 1oz Sovereign that we have had here in the UK for the last five hundred + years. Sovereigns are also tax/ vat and cgt free. That's why bought a load a couple of years back : )

  • @ShillBasher Thanks Shill. Yes it was amazing to see these through the loupe with my own eyes. The coins are very small so we had to take shots through the loupe so that you could see the corrosion clearly. If I hadn't seen them myself, I would have trouble believing it. Actually..no I wouldn't, not after what I've learned the last few years. Cheers, Dan

  • @whygoldandsilver

Oh, your not Mike!. Are you the Dan that did a vid with Stella John?

I haven't bought any of those Russian coins (thank frick!), I bought British Sovereigns and have had them checked.. so no worries : )

  • @ShillBasher Yep that's me. I run cameras for Mike and add random commentary to the videos =)

  • @whygoldandsilver

I really enjoyed hearing that conversation you and John were having, Dan. Seriously. If only more people could have the courage to have these conversations. I've met a few people over the last few years that know what time it is and are able to express their true feelings about it, but most are so bloody thick skinned and willfully ignorant I honestly dispair. If everyone just spent a few hours doing some honest research then the lies and wars would end v-quickly

  • @ShillBasher Thanks mate, yeah it was great to meet John he's top shelf. It was funny to hear 'Hi guys John here with a silver update' from across the tabe rather than out of my laptop speakers. Just wish I had gotten some sleep the night before so that I wasn't so slooooooowwwwww =D Next time

  • @wg&s

I just watched a couple of your 1st ever uploads. I think you officialy just became one of my favourite ever vid people on YT, I love your energy. The one where you drink a tea for TruthCracker sealed it, as I was one of the few people who backed him up 100% when he called out Lebed and co''. Alot of people were hating on him for doing that but too me the guy had way more honesty and passion for the truth than any other uploader out there. He has a much higher IQ than most realise.

  • @ShillBasher Haha thanks mate. I'm with you on that, TruthCracker is an all time fave for me...there always at least one moment of pure art in everything he does. His dancing is off the richter! I've been meaning to post more blog type stuff as I've been travelling but can never find the time...shame because we've been in England, France, Italy, Germany, Russia, Greece, Egypt, bloody everywhere! Anyway I'll be home soon to work on the new series for Mike and will do more then. Thanks heaps mate

  • PLEASE SPREAD THIS VIDEO FAR AND WIDE

  • The GOLD is fake. Plane and simple. I had Gold Jewelry once do the exact same thing. Scam, Fraud, Sucker, Rip-Off and I will never Buy Russian Gold. From the Central Bank, if that is true what does that say about the integrity of the Russian Central Bank?

  • @MrBankRuns I guess we'll have to wait for the assay results...

  • May I have Ivan Zhivnesky contact information I will send a private message too.

  • @Alexiscom1 Sorry brother. Can't give his details out.

  • Use a gold tester and see what the purity is,use nitric acid on silver,it will turn the silver black if it's not pure, and white if it is pure. For gold, buy a gold tester and or do a conductivity test,or even do electrolysis with your gold coins,if they change colors there fake,or even use a metal detector,it will let u know,if u set it right, what metal your holding, through conductivity,a multimeter will also let u know what your holding, through its conductivity

  • @imatelly Thanks for the comment. It would be great if you could do a video on this?

  • This will be more and more common, all around the world, as the mania continues. Why are there guards at Fort Knox? To protect the gold, or to protect the secret that perhaps there is no gold? Keep your eyes open folks.

  • @SolarAlchemy Absolutely. Why can't we audit the gold reserves? They have not been audited SINCE THE 1950s

  • @whygoldandsilver Simple, there is a problem there.

  • btw, mike..

can u sign a book for me while u in mosocw..

  • @prparimbici Sorry sir, we have left Moscow and have arrived in London for more filming. It may be a while before we go back to Moscow...

  • @whygoldandsilver

please do tell me when u are coming back here.. ))

or if u going to malaysia.. maybe ill be there too..

    thanx Dan

  • i got 2 st.george 1oz silver coins..

    and it has white spot/corode..

but i think its normal for silver coins..

  • @prparimbici Can you post a video of them? Still seems strange.

  • @whygoldandsilver

ok.. but it may take a while for me to post it..

  • I hope that Ivan's life is not now in danger... This doesn't surprise me coming from the gangster KGB government of Putin.....

  • @mikebius We filmed this last week, I'm glad to be out of Russia now that this story is picking up speed.

  • That is dirty man...WOW!

    What a dirty trick.

Them Russians are sneaky and cannot be trusted.

  • @dodoinurpants

as if anybody in central banking can? has nothing to do w/ Russians and everything to do w/ the global collapse unfolding around us due to the financial cartels.

  • Mike, I would hardly describe this as a MYSTERY.

I would desctibe it as FRAUD.

I would not trust the central bankers as far as I could throw them (whether in Russia or anywhere else).

The message is, be careful what you buy folks.

  • Thank you for the info!

  • Keep us posted on the results.
