Just listened to the whole album for the first time in a long while. Such a strong album all the way through, maybe even gaining momentum towards the end. I was lucky enough to see them tour this album a few years back, and I've been seriously wanting to see them again ever since. Even if it's just to hear Words and Pounding only. Lol.

I think Doves got some inspiration from Liszt's piano piece, "Concert Etude no.3 in D-flat major, 'Un Sospiro'". I heard the piece and immediately thought "where have i heard a similar melodic line to this?" give it a listen
