This film was based upon king David watching Bathsheba bathe and he wanted her so he sent her husband to the front lines of the war so he would die and he would take Bathsheba as his wife. Fortunately the writers at big idea changed it from lusting a woman to a rubber ducky...well done

I had a veggie tales dvd when i was like 8 and i was embarrassed to watch it n never did. Now its all scratched up, im 14, and wish id even taken the chance to put it n the dvd player. Darn me, i love veggie tales more now than any 3 year old xD

I'm going to bible college and last night I was reading about King David and how he took Bathsheba away from her husband Uriah and killed him. It was when Nathan told him the parable about the shepard and the lamb I had realized "Hey! This is exactly like King George and the Ducky!"

wow. i used to watch veggie tales all the time when i was a kid. my neighbor gave me a vhs copy of one of the movies or whatever and i became hooked immediately. even though i'm jewish, my mom tried to get me to stop watching but she eventually gave in. i even saw that jonah veggie tales movie on me and my sister's birthday. my sister still won't let me live it down. i even sang one of the songs in my sleep once, i only know that because my mom said so. i guess i was pretty loud

@Konata101 what's weird about that is that my mom would try to keep me from watching veggie tales because she would say it teaches christian lessons, the first veggie tales i ever watched was esther the girl who became queen. that story it's based on is from the old testement right?

Its interesting that they used this story of david, it was well done how they put it in a way that kids could understand a little better. As old as I am, I can still watch veggietales and enjoy them. I've watched them since I was little, and I've always been impressed with the flannelgraph illustration, what a great way to do that part of the story! And still there's some humor, even in the seriuosness, like the way Larry says, "Man!" all whiney after the wise man tells the story.
