I'm not sure, so please don't quote me on this, but I don't believe it is. I think it may have been written specifically for a film called "Stealing Beauty" but I only think this because there was a character in that film named Niccolo Donati ("My true love...Niccolo Donati")
I agree. Ever since I've been a kid I've ignored lyrics. I like lyrics, but music doesn't ALWAYS need lyrics. Sometimes the sound, the harmony, the beat, is all you need. I always pay MORE attention to the music. I notice my friends who like country (nothing wrong with country) like it for the words. I like the words too, but the music is never intricate enough for me. Sometimes something really simple can be beautiful as well though.
Oh my god are these part of the lyrics to this song, please do you know the rest if you do could you please tell me where I might find them. what site. Thanks
Lyrics are overrated anyway. If they're SO important to ya, jusdt settle for reading frickin' poems. Or print out the lyrics and admire the view. It's the atmosphere that counts. And the emotion, of course. The soundscape.
LIZ routinely mixed occasional English with ...another language. that's all we know. it's ...another language. in interviews (which she avoided) she refused to say what the language was. in one i-view she did admit she was lyrically obscure because she didn't want others knowing her that well.
one of my favorite (can a person have one Cocteau Twin favorite? lol) Cocteau Twin songs. i like anything that spreads the fame of Elizabeth Fraser's voice. she's the best. nice video!
She's got a gorgeous set of pipes on her and an amazing way of putting emotion into a song even when the lyrics themselves seem so obscure--you end up understanding her completely. :)
so true, the thing that always puzzled me regarding the Cocteau Twins was the strange feeling of rediscovering some past dormant memories of expression, almost like deja vu but knowing full well i'd never heard their songs or music such as theirs before? but who knows... like you mention, it's pure feeling transcending the literal interpretation of the lyrics, although the lyrics i can decipher are always interesting.
*shudders* I even went to find the lyrics to get this better (not to mention watched this video about 50 times) and all i can say is... it's the perfect video to watch if you want to feel real creeped out (in a very good way of course)
...*lip trembles* did he... die? in the end? *sniff* that was REALLY cool, and your editing is really fantastic, everything just seems to glide into place. wonderful... but did raoul DIE in the end?!?!?

Una canzone a dir poco meravigliosa...tra le più belle che abbia mai sentito. La adoro ed ha accompagnato la mia adolescenza!
