  • it looks kind of like u fishtail braid the dread in?

  • Can I do like the same with SE dreads?

  • @Piika98 Sort of, with SE dreads, you loop your hair through the loop and then braid it, so essentially it is the same, just you have to loop it through first.

  • If I "Install" thees synthetic dreads in the morning, it it possible for me to take them out at night??

PLZ PLZ PLZ !! tell me!

  • @MegaOhshit Well you could but it takes a few hours to get them in and at least an hour to get them out. these are more of a few weeks kind of thing. I s

uggest hair falls if you cant wear them for more than a day

  • Really good video!! clear and you explain it really weel!:) THANKSSSS

  • Will washing the synthetic dreads ruin them? With shampoo and conditioner?

  • @sskkiittzzoo no but dont condition, it will soften your 'real hair' and make the dread sort of slip out more than it should. i recomend you wash your hair less (unless you have bangs) and only shampoo

  • Where is it possible to get the dreds

  • @CaItLyNGREGER Online, but keep in mind thier hella expensive.

  • uuh cool *u*

  • WHY CANT I GET THIS... i feel silly.

  • This seems complicated and takes a long time. Can you still wash your hair properly? Or take them all out and redo this...??

  • @MelyndaMoon

You can still wash your hair normally. These are meant to stay in for up to 8 weeks.

  • Put dreads in my hair :) I think I want pink...

  • those kind of elastic bands always break out of my hair after 1 week so i use the same brand, but their colored rubber ones seem to hold up better

  • and how can i wash my hair? O.o

  • exactly how you always wash your hair. nothing changed except dry time

  • thanks ^^

  • u can try taking a sponge and dipping it in water mixed with a little shampoo. Just dab it on at the roots then take a clean sponge and dab the area with clean water. It may take a a couple of passes to get all the shampoo out, but it keeps u from getting your dreads all wet and heavy.

  • lather it in, however YOU MUST USE RESIDUE FREE SHAMPOO, i had real dreds for 9 months, and i washed them with reguler shampoo and they basically fell out do NOT USE CONDITIONER

  • Synth dreads are meant to be worn for 3-6 weeks. So yes you can sleep on them, the first few nights is weird but after a while you don't even notice them.

As for time, it really depends on who is doing it. if you have lots of experience it tends to go a lot quicker. I would say with your length and depending on experience. Give it anywhere from 4-8 hours

The more often it gets done the faster the experience goes :)

  • but you can to do it just for small and fine dread, because i think with enormus dread you can't ?

    0:54 ?

  • You just make the sections of your own hair smaller, for thinner dreads.

We did this in a hurry, for a one day event. And only 38 or 36 dreads were installed. Hence the large sectioning.

Usually we put about 65 sections in in total.

  • it looks like alot of elastic :/

I like to use hairspray to keep down runaway hairs. Works wonders :)

  • It can be. It depends on how layered the hair is you are working with.

Healthy all one length hair, usually only needs one elastic.

For hair that's been cut different lengths, it requires a couple.

hair spray is great if you want to work with that kinda thing.

But it doesn't last more than a day or two usually and then you have pokies again.

  • is it painful to get them put in. please anser

  • It is in no way painful. There are sensitive spots on your head that will pull and sometimes annoy you. but it's not painful

  • I guess i still dont get it i have watched this video 10 tims and im practicing and i cant seem to get it... But i will figure it out, oh yes i will. Great vids tho

  • were can you get them

  • if you have rather thin hair does it look silly with them?

and also whats the website where i can order them online?

  • can you get dreads like that with just useing your real hair?

  • No you can not, the sealing process melts the hair into shape, you can't melt human hair.

But if you put A LOT of work into your natural dreads you can make them look rather pretty

  • It looks like the way you make those friendship bracelets?

  • Scunci is a good brand, but pricey. I use the metal free ties for my hairpieces because they're strong.

    You braid very neatly!

    L/rivetlicker_

  • well tank you!

What kind of metal free ones are you talking about?

If they are cheaper and hold just as well I'd convert!

    haha

It's just that scunci and goody have never done me wrong yet. And I've tried so many different kinds of elastics and string now.

  • Scunci make metal free hair ties, so they don't snag on your hair.

In Australia, it's about $6-$7 for an 18 pack. Yeah, I said they were pricey!

  • omg where the hell do you live! i wish you can install mine for me :( i cant get anythingggggggggggggg

  • We are located in Kelowna BC.

I do orders online making dreads. But of course unless you were in Kelowna you would have to get somebody to install them. But that is why we made these videos :D
