  • all a customs are shit apart from the crashes

  • very nice guy ;)

  • tama, pearl, sonor or yamaha???

  • hey man witch is better tama or pearl

  • @Bear7o7 I prefer Tama ;)

  • @Bear7o7 depends on what you want to play, Pearl is more versatile for any kind of music

  • @Bear7o7 tama for metal / hard rock playing, pearl for softer playing

    i prefer tama

  • i have an 18 inch crash and i love it. the crashes are great. dont like the ride or the hi hats

  • Cool review but the cymbals sound average. I really don't get that Zildjian hype.

  • Your playing is as good as your cymbals and kit: Awesome!!

By the way what kit are you using? And heaps good demo!

  • @TotallyAwesomness The kit in this video is a Fame. about a year ago I upgraded to a Tama superstar custom hyperdrive, which is in my more recent drum videos. Thank you for your support!

  • Tener esos platillos es un sueño !

  • If i have a shitty crash/ride should i get a new ride?

  • @flipmash Yes. C/R's are almost entirely useless, being too heavy for crashing and too small for a decent ride sound.

  • @Seffyr Obvoiusly you've never played a decent one nor learnt how to.

  • @Gretchluver1 I didn't know they made Crash/Rides in a "decent" variety; or are you just defending your Planet Z's?

There is the odd one which makes a "decent" Jazz ride but "decent" doesn't cut the cake in most cases unless you're on a budget in which case it's only barely excusable (An extra $80 will net you a crash and ride pack instead)

And I have no desire to learn how to play an obsolete cymbal. If I want a crash, I'll use a crash. If I want a ride, I'll use a ride, thank you very much

  • @Seffyr With regards to beginners crash rides the Planet Z ones are the more bearable, but thankfully I have a Bosphorus crash ride which works well as a medium crash and as a second ride (not a main ride of course, although Elvin Jones did just fine with one). Also I want to clarify that I'm not insisting on you playing crash rides only. Why would I do that? I was just making a reactionary misinformed comeback to a reactionary misinformed comment.

  • @Gretchluver1 N.B. The "one" with regards to Elvin was referring to a crash ride. Obviously. Also could you elaborate on "obsolete"? Do you mean a brand or model of cymbal no longer in production or a cymbal that no longer physically exists?

  • @Gretchluver1 Ew really? You like Planet Z C/R's? I can't stand them. I've tried the new series and some of the vintage ones (The ones that didn't have stamped dimples) and didn't like either; although admittedly I liked the older style better. Twas darker. And I mean "obsolete" as in C/R's are only in beginner lines. If you want something that functions as both in higher up lines you have to get a thin - medium 18" ride.

PS: In hindsight my reply sounded offensive. Bad day. Sorry. =)

  • @Seffyr Ah I see. Thinking about it that Planet Z c/r was probably the only one of those in existence to sound good. Sorry for the attitude earlier on. =)

  • @flipmash Just keep in mind that you cannot use a ride as a crash, well you can but it wont last long from my experience! If you want a crash ride just get a high quality one. or just get a ride and a crash separately . The choice is yours! :)

  • Loving that sexy accent. <3

  • @Xemnas1268 Cheers! :)

  • U inspire me u do :)

  • @Hornet5561 Thank you for your support! You inspire me!

  • Are you a lefty there fella, or is the video mirrored? By the way, great demo.

  • @cdickenson64 I'm a lefty my friend! :) Thanks!

  • @cdickenson64 the zildjian logos would be mirrored, if the video was mirrored, you nuffie. :P

  • @bobandroger I was more enthused with the review than paying attention to the direction of the logos. Please don't call names on people you don't know. That's not a good way to make friends.

  • Are these cymbals durable?

  • @Osskarii Yes very!

  • 0:22 !!!!!!!!!!!! WITH_THE_KIT ;)

  • AHHH, a lefty

  • TBH, i dont notice an accent. . . lol. idk y. everyone else seems to. :P

  • Hey.....ghost notes are played so quitely....:)

  • If u got a set that comes with a16" crash it would cost 700 euro butif u buy them seperatly and get a 17" crash its about 1000 eurof u

  • Hey man i was wondering in total how much would the hats 17" crash and the ride cost?

  • @TheGeneticProject a lot probobly 600+

  • how much is it to mkic your set?

  • Left handed drummers.. It's like the bizarro world I see in teh mirror ._. Don't make eye contact :o If ye don't see them, they can't see you!

  • LEFTHANDED-FOOT BROTHER!!!

what do you think about ZILDJIAN ZXT ROCK?

  • What brand cymbals do you prefer for a church band type sound?

Also in general, what sound do you think is better?

  • @bnl11052k10 I play in a contemporary worship band, and it's really in the air. If you have large, packed venues of, say, 500 upwards, I'd say go for something brilliant. Bright cymbals cut amazingly through amped instruments.

    Smaller venues? Go darker.

Really, though? Experiment. Best way is to find out yourself. Borrow some cymbals from someone and see how the rest of the band like them.

  • wtf hi hat on the right lol

  • @ericmarshall19 He's a lefty...duh.

  • Comment removed

  • you should try the dream 24 inch bliss hi-hat

  • @matcrater In my opinion I would say more rock. If you want more of a jazzy sound go for K Zildjian!

  • Good video! Thanks for sharing, mate!

  • Needs more cowbell

  • You sound like Joey Jordison from Slipknot.

  • Wait. Were was the review part of this?

  • Do you think that theese A Custom is more usefull to play Jazz or Rock ?

  • playing the whole set it sounds pretty good actually.

  • gay irish cunt

  • @fulham987 only kidding mate

  • A Customs are the best cymbals on the planet

  • how much did all the cymbals cost you, did you get them in a super set or just separate ??

  • @Gred97 i have 14" hats, 10" splash, 16" & 17" crash and a 20" ride... just about $1200 brand new

  • that a custom hats sound like that paiste 101 brass

  • well im not going to judge this cymbals with this video but.. if they sound like this in the real life i prefer AA's or AAx... and from zildjian.. just the K custom and K hybrid...

  • Sound like zbts sabian aax are the shit

  • @Legendkiller48553 ok XD in that case zbts are better then aax......... the only thing worth buying from sabian is there hhx evolution crashes and the holy china. It mite work for you but i just dont like there direction of cymbal sounds. I dont like to judge ether but that was a vaaaarrryyy ignorant comment.

  • @Legendkiller48553 its the camera, they sound way different in real life ... i would know, i own them

  • the hi-hats sound like shit......

  • your accent is fucking awesome

  • WHAT IS YOUR ACCENT FROM?!

  • @Hotstreak000 Ireland

  • I stopped watching this video when he pulled out the nylon tip sticks. eeeeeeeeeh

  • They sound like my B8s

  • @MunizMichael

fuck no your b8:s are from arse

  • @Tehfirter Thats the point xD

  • @MunizMichael

your b8s suck ass, ive had them and they sucked, i have a-custom and k-custom now and they are real cymbals, those b8s are trashcans.

  • dude are you rich or something?

  • @psnHEAVYMETALHEAD I wish, I am just a good saver :)

  • @JAMMAN1701 nothing wrong with that dude, i work at fast food so i have to save a lot of money for my drums lol

  • I love the accent of your voice.

  • @FeelingBallsy Cheers :)

  • why do al lot of cymbals come from arab countries?

  • @MrSoHordy lmao your joking right. ignorance in its purest form

  • There is a few different a custom packs out there man, Which one did you pick up and how much?

  • you dont diserve these cymbals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • @joeyjuniorjunior Right...

  • Are you rich? You must have a lot of money to afford these

  • @CaptainAwesome2814 Rich! I wish! i just save dude!

  • @JAMMAN1701 I was lucky enough to get some Sabian B8's for $100 (First Cymbal Pack)

  • dude great reveiw i have a them there awsome sounding and r u a lefty drummer? cuz thats prity awsome

  • @buzzy99group Yeah I'm a lefty! Thanks for the comment! :)

  • @JAMMAN1701 ur welcome i have one question how big is ur ride and how much is it?

  • @buzzy99group @buzzy99group Its A Custom 20'' Medium ride and on its own will set you back around 280 - 350 dollars, its much cheaper to buy the package u'll save more money that way.

  • @JAMMAN1701 o ok where can i get the package and what comes with it?

  • "uh-nudder video review"

  • @NikateeN lol

  • I bet those cymbals are broken by now, very strong cymbal strikes. Just to much man...

  • @airmax247 Nope they are still going strong!

  • Which would you recommend A custom or A custom medium crashes? im a hard hitter and play rock/metal. Thanks.

  • im digging the Ride cymbal the most haha

  • how did u afford this? :o They arent cheap :p

  • what accent have u got

  • didleeedee potatoesss

  • Customs A's or K's? whats the difference?

  • @devildogwhiskey A is intended for rock; K is intended for jazz

  • That ride bell sound is scrumptious

  • you are a lucky man to have these cymbals lol

  • OMFG................. i just farted

  • POTATO!

  • nylon tip sucks the big time!!!

  • que Chá com pão, chá com pão..kkkk fraco demais

  • I hate the hats. the 16 crash is awesome. the 17 crash is really... mediocre. and the 18 crash is BEAST. the ride is sweet too. these are my opinions.

  • left handed drummers are always fun to watch. what splashes and chinas u using man?

  • o my god.... thats like 2000$ or more money ... on your drumset and cymballs. have you been playing like a week? omg... what a waste!!!!

  • @ToniRubinic worth the money though!!

  • @spursfan112 i know they are... but to be honest. you dont deserve them yet.. no way. id give you some planet Z to work on first..

  • i prefer sabian, these are good but id take sabian given the choice

  • i want them!

  • wow dude exactly what i was looking for haha thanks :D

  • nc accent:)

  • Lol a lefty drummer eh? a rare breed...

  • how do you keep them so clean without messing up the labels? i have to go around the labels and it looks like a dirty patch where the logos are.

  • please, don't HIT those cymbals like that!

  • Que feo prueba sus platillos!

  • do u like thin medium or rock Cymbals

  • 18" my fav :)

  • 17" crashes always sound so nice. :)

  • Hey man just wondering, what are you doing to make the room sound proof?.

  • @gomarz21 Its a soundproofing product called ''audimute'' search for them on YouTube if u wanna check em out! I made a video about the soundproof so check that out too! ;)

  • Does anyone have an opinion as to whether a Zildjian A Custom 18" Projection Crash is better / worse than just a Zildjian A Custom 18" Crash?

  • @MakinFilmsMakinMusic Really comes down to ur own personal opinion. decide which sound u like better and go with that. you should be able to hear samples of both cymbals on YouTube.

  • @MakinFilmsMakinMusic the Projection Crash is higher pitch than the standard Crash. For me, i can't decide which is better because i love both of them!

  • Meinl classics or these A customs? I can't quite make my mind up. I am a heavy hitter.

  • @cjdrummer86 i would probly say a customs would b better....i havent actually tryed them myself but thats just what ive herd hope this helps :)

  • @cjdrummer86 A Customs, but the ride isn't good crashed. otherwise, they project prettty well.

  • @cjdrummer86 A Customs. They project really well.

  • my high school set has these cymbals. want to know the BEST part? everything else in the school is poor as shit!!!

  • All the cymbals sounds great, except for the bell on the ride, it sounds horrible. But all the rest, even the rest of the ride sounds amazing!

  • U left a handed?

  • I like meinl cymbals alot more than zildjian or any others.

You should try the soundcaster customs or mb10's for medium-budget or byzance brilliant or mb20's for serious cymbals.

  • hey, can anyone tell me whether or not an a custom crash will last if im a heavy hitter?

  • @Peaceman287 They crack really easy. I'll guess it will only last you about 8~12 months. Try Paiste. They have WAY greater durability than Zildjian. Paiste's RUDE are for hard hitters and metal drummers. They can last you for YEARS.

  • Quit using nylon sticks... How are we supposed to get an accurate idea of how the cymbals sound?

  • @Anonymous122131 There really isn't that much difference between nylon tips and wood tips. Most people only hear the difference in volume, not in sound. And imo nylon tips are better because you don't wreck 'em after playing 4 hours or something.

  • @TheFallOfTroyrlz I think that the actual difference lies on how they feel when you play. The nylon tip sticks not only sound like the material they´re made of: plastic, but they feel wrong. Could be cause it´s effectively 2 parts to one stick (the wooden part and the plastic part).

  • thanks for this video :D

  • I wonder what your nabour thinks about all of this

  • @xDeathmetalMan96x The room is soundproof :)

  • amazing line. but sooo expensive =(

  • @kesihua2 paiste costs more. play sabian then.

  • meinl all the way I'm afraid...

  • I have yet to hear any crash that can hang with my 18-inch HHX Stage Crash...

  • can someone please tell me how much the cymbal pack costs?

  • @raiders1815 it all depends exactly what you're looking for and how many cymbals come in the pack but on avaerage you can get like Zildjian A Custom high hats, crash and a ride with possibly a "gift" splash for $600

  • great demo, I just bought a package set, and I am breaking them in, the 20 inch medium ride is spectacular

  • NEEDS MORE COWBELL!!!!!!!

  • yep.. i now want A Custom Cymbals..

  • i love zildjian a costoms, but other then that i dont like anything they make. quite fantastic cymbals. but my favorate cymbal brand in mienl, what you pay is what you get with them. their lower range stuff isnt good and their mid range stuff is just mid range, but their higher price stuff is AMAZING. all i use is mb20s and classic costoms

  • im a sabain man myself

  • you have nice simbals but u're must better your drum scils man

  • @janenkooow And you have to learn to speak better english, Can't understand wtf you want to say ... ?

  • @dahlstrms Its easy to understand what hes saying unless you're a retarded douche

  • @speedlightnin And what does scils mean ?

  • did anyone else notice he was left handed

  • this video made my buy a customs!

  • does the 20" A custom ride sounds good as a crash ??

  • I have pretty much made my mind up that i am going to get meinl cymbals because i think they sound perfect for metal which i mostly play. I just thought i better check out the whole market before i went for them and your channel is perfect for finding out these things. thank you :)

  • @luster344 meinl cymbals are pretty awesome, but I would say get Zildjian (unless you bought the meinls already) because zildjian sounds generally darker and more suited to harder/heavier rock

  • @alexgerber102 Yh i came back to this video for the comment and have takena likening to these cymbals :) I am gonna go into the drum shop and play the myself and compare so i can make the decision. Cheers for getting me back here and for the advice :)

  • @luster344 it's also because I am just pro-Zildjian like that, but I had a Meinl Mb20 crash that I wrecked pretty bad, whereas none of my Zildjians have cracked once. And I've gigged with them, smacked 'em around, dropped em, etc.

I wish I were signed by Zildjian so I could get paid to tell you that Zildjian is just a better choice. There's no doubt in my mind.

Message me if you need anything drum-wise :)

    cheers!

  • @luster344 good idea :) comparisons are usually the best way to go. I'm a zildjian fan myself, but i caved and bought a few non-zildjian cymbals that sound great. the fact that you recognize that is the first step to getting a great cymbal setup in my humble opinion.

  • Paiste signature series !

  • uh nudder review, eh?

  • Hey man quick question.... I've been looking into both A custom cymbals and Sabian AAX cymbals and I was just wondering which do you think is better for crashes, rides, chinas, etc... Please and Thanks!
