@Gishki I was using a 10-52 set for this cover, now I use about 11-56. It's all about the action, and also how high up your pickups are. You might need to lower them.

I was actually using a 10-52 set of string at the time. They dont hold drop B very well so I recently up sized to I believe 12-54 or so. It's all in the tone man ;) haha

Noooo. This version sucks! The lead part isnt octaves. Or at least, that's not how Marc plays it. The way I play it now is much closer to how he plays it, and along with We Bow I may do a new video one day.

Yep. The amp is just a power amp with a gain knob that I keep around 7 o'clock so it's pretty low. The tone is even better recorded, this is just with the shitty camera mic.

If you're going to go with the LTD dont. Try to get a hold of one of the Schecter 8's they have out now. Or even better yet try and get an Agile 8, better scale length and much cheaper than a lot of production models.

looked at the agile 8's and i have talked to many people that had them and i decided not to go for one of the agiles. i need something that will most likely become my primary guitar and must be reliable enough for a stage. rg2228 is what i want but its $1800 stock.. and im gonna have to go custom on it so more like $2300-2500 i have liked the ltd 7's that ive played more than the ibanez tho.. but i havent looking into the ltd 8 enough to make a judgment. i will have to look at the schecter 8's..

I have a friend who has the LTD I've played it. It's a decent 8 but the scale length is criminally short for an 8 string. I have the Hellraiser 8 and love it, minus the neck being relatively thick at the first few frets.
