This is basics of kung fu. We had to do 30,000 of these in an hour. He is doing them correctly and once you achieve this your combos don't come in 2 or 3, they never stop.
@MechPhantom yeah it's a very good way to train. I like to use a metronome to keep a constant beat while I do it so I can make progressive speed increases as my current speed gets easier (the way a drummer builds up hand speed, and some of those guys can do like 1200 beats a minute). That's me though
wing chun at its best, the only thing i'm critical of is your hands dont seem to completely closed with most of the fast punches, let me guess, you must have hand/wrist problems in the past.
If you can iron that out, then you will achieve perfection.
@HDsharp Firstly it's not Wing Chun, it's Serak Silat (spelling might be off, though).
Secondly - and you would know this if you had any Wing Chun experience - a clenched punch is only situationally better than open hand fighting. In most cases you transfer more of your kinetic energy into your opponant with open hand attacks, than with a fist. A fist punch may even damage *your* fist, fx when striking to the head.
I have been training with Mark for 2 yrs now after 20 odd years doing tae kwon do, karate, boxing and muay thai and I can honestly say I have never seen speed or power quite like this. This vid is a very small example of a very deep and intelligent system that truly needs to be seen and experienced.
very fast, can the speed be applied in real situation with every strike at full power? the final punch looked very powerful but had different alignment and was further extended. curious are there any vids on application?
This guy is from the Northern beaches of Sydney and if you are serious please contact him...I am a student of nine years and i can very strongly recommend this system.nige

If you watch some of the other videos, you see that it's not necessary to have a fist when striking using internal forces
