An aberration: flagrant example, on the A9 between Montpellier and Nimes, 1 rest area with a capacity of 10 trucks to a stretch of 30 km! Shameful and dangerous when one knows the price of the highway, and worse, to park outside the highway is the challenge ... No truckstop or too expensive, it disgusted me.
You are right. There are not enough truck parking places. France is a road transport knot of communications in europe but i think is not prepared for so heavy traffic volume. Where goes the peage money?. The fist time i saw the truck parked in the exits i couldn´t believe it. More than once i had to park in the exits too. I hate it. Madre mia... no pensé que el tema estaría tan chungo para vosotros. Viendo los videos de EEUU los "truckstop" son enormes algunos. El problema de estas áreas es que parecen hechas para bajar a comprar un sandwich y seguir circulando. En lugar de tanto arbolito y area de recreo, que parece zona de barbacoas más que zona de parada, deberían de poner un gran parking para camiones.
