i sometimes feel he doesnt get the appreciation he deserves, but on the other hand what makes his music better is the way he has never sold out and went mainstream so in a way, due to lack of mainstream success (well in the Uk anyway) it makes his music more meaningful and melodic
that's the right one its called peanut and i wish gibson would make a custom or inspired by one for him because he deserves it. Lets start a potition for it :)
you're right, the solo at the end is a bit "youngish"... his guitar is equipped with a Gibson "vibrola" not bigsby, i don't think it makes any difference btw :)
Youi're absolutely right. What a combination they would have made. Gram surely is smiling wherever he is. I don't know if genius is incarnate but Ryan got it from somewhere. I can't get enough of this genius.
and obviously you know nufin about ryan adams as bryan is not his father. bryan is from canada and ryan is from north carolina. and plus ryan has sed he hates bryan adams cuz he is in music for the moeny and not for the music
i can't stop listening to this live version. it's like hearing a new song every time. that's how good and heart-wrenching (in a very good way) it is!!!
How can a guy so casual looking and regular, but quite obviously not, make me wanna bawl my freaking eyes out with music like this, and i'm a grown man way past 21!!!!!LIVE FOREVER RYAN!
bpldjgetc-Yeah that version reminds me of the shows he did when he had the broken hand. The stage setup is intimate with everyone up close,I saw this at the Keswick Theater in Philadelphia as well as the Theatre of Living Arts also in Philly back in spring/summer 2007.
Nice,I had to order it as they did not have it in the store. While I wait I picked up the Gary Louris solo album and the Drive By-Truckers new disc to tide me over.
but Ryan Adams at the TLA was over $100 because I had to use a ticket broker. The Keswick show was part of Mountain Stage Live, with such artists as Ryan Adams, the Cowboy Junkies,Martin Sexton etc. that was about $60.
wow 24 bucks isnt a bad deal! but im sure the $100 was very worth it! next time hes in town, im gonna do the ticket broker thing so i can be even closer to the stage. mountain stage live sounds cool too.
i agree with ya'll. the live version is much better. sounds like he is really holding back on the album. i saw him play this live in chicago and it was incredible
That was great, man. Thanks for posting, I was having trouble seing it on the yahoo site. I am looking forward tremendously to seing him in Sweden in November. Hope you all liked it as much as I did

I fairly sure his guitar is a Gibson ES-345 or ES-355. I used to have a 1969 ES-345 like that one.
Ryan Adams is one of this generations best songwriters.

Looks like a old Gibson ES double cut with what appears to be a Vibrola tremolo. Might be a 335 or a 345.

Thank you.

draziwthe 3 years ago
why must you always be able to go to the best concerts??! how much do you usually pay for the tickets?
bpldjgetc 3 years ago
bpl-Golden Smog was cheap,I believe it was $24
but Ryan Adams at the TLA was over $100 because I had to use a ticket broker. The Keswick show was part of Mountain Stage Live, with such artists as Ryan Adams, the Cowboy Junkies,Martin Sexton etc. that was about $60.

yeah but i always go with someone, but yeah regular way is my first choice

Hello draziwthe: I love Ryan Adams. Hey, when u get some more tickets, how about sharing??!
