i really like that warm thick sounding wah, im not sure what type of wah to shoot for, vox, cry baby or this "real mcCoy" anything you would reccommend? i already own a wah but its pretty thin and watery.

i think the cry baby wah pedal is better cause its the one witch Jimi Hendrix used and this might have sound effects but with the cry baby all the time went into making the wah to make it have extra high quality wah sound but with this 1 they spent along time with the effects and some time with the wah

Have you even tried one of these Teese wahs? I bet not but I kind of half agree with you. It's not a waste of money if you have the money to spend and really enjoy a great wah but I've owned several and get by now with a modded Crybaby. I can't afford one of these things anymore, I got my Crybaby used for $30 bucks and modded it for another $25. It's not as good but it's close enough for me.

Sure, just use a power adapter.

I recommend "1 Spot Adapter", look for it on amazon, it is also available with a "multi-plug" cable so you can power up your entire pedalboard with only 1 adapter and uses only 1 spot on your power strip on your wall (that's why it is called "1 Spot" duh!)... It's reaaaaally useful!

Andy, it has nothing to do with the power of your amp. All a wah pedal does is sweep different frequencies in the sound range.

loosen the nut on the side or theres a nut on the inside you can only get to with a certain tool at the heel of the pedal in the centre

wah wah basically has an effect on the ratio of treble and bass, wile the whammy has an effect on the pitch (because of that, you also call a whammy pedal "pitch").

if you wahwah, you get the typical wahwah sound.

whammy has the same effect as a whammy bar, it makes the note you play sound higher or lower.

As far as I know, those 2 are completely different animals. Depends on what you're looking for. In the whammy there are, if i'm right some modulation effects as well.

I think that RATM uses wah wah in that song. But just get a whammy bar if you can, looks cooler and is cheaper.

Nah dude i think your missing the point of a whammy bar lol. Its not electronic. It a metal bar that goes into a slot on ur bridge and you press it to change the pitch of the strings.

I'm not Justin lol. But regarding the question about pedal order, their are really no rules about which goes before what. Most people recommend placing the Wah first in the chain so it is receiving the purest possible signal from the guitar and nothing else.

Again there are no rules for pedal order so try everything and see what sounds best to YOU!

Actually there are some very distinct rules to follow when it comes to pedal order. Now you can put them wherever you like but believe me when I say to get a killer sound you MUST put them in a specific order. Just do a google search for guitar pedal order and see what I mean, for instance if you go compressor, EQ, phaser, you will get a horrible sound but phaser, compressor eq will give a sweet sound that is more modifiable. So there are basic rules but they are made to be broken sometimes.

Usually better to "wah" the distortion but worth trying it the other way around too. It depends a lot on the exact pedals in front of you- you don't really have individual pedals when you chain them you have a run of circuits all interacting with each other and acting like one big circuit.
