@niggernate1 Actuall Maxwork made 1600 on their sr20. As much as i like the 4g63 you cant clame it being the second best 4 cylinder engine made. there is too much to take into consideration. one the 4g63 can do much as an N/A engine so almost any N/A engine is considered better in that sense. argue as much as you want bt tubocharging any engine can make hp. N/A power is what tell you how good the design is.
also, i wish my belt pully/balancer went on as easy as yours!.. i hammered mine for like an hour to get it in place.. i also used center bolt for keeping the pully level while hammering the sucker in.. i also used a RUBBER mallet for a hammer, to prevent damage.. but damn.. looks like you just tossed yours right on!

Hey i have a Cold Air Intake, Headers, and full exhaust (Loud as fuck lol) on my 420a and its enough to beat those v-tec hondas if you pull it hard lol but if ur planning to beat anything else faster than that then i suggest turbo.

ither is a little black plug by the drivers side cv shaft pull it out. you will need a a long hose to put on the the end of the contaner and then just stick the other end in the hole on the the trans and start pumping.

So you had to just go out and buy a new head right? I have an avenger with the 420A and I've never replaced a timing belt. kinda scared about that. I've had it since 120k miles and now it has 170k miles.
I used the peek door on the timing cover to look it over several times before... and it seems fine,but I know that those belts can snap or shear the notches without warning. Anyway, does anyone here know if a 4g63 would swap into a 99 avenger?
well you can swap anything if you have the right tool and a lot of creativity. ever seen a v8 in a Honda that's what i am talking about. and no a 4g63 will not just drop in you would have to make your own motor mounts and such. i did not have to replace the head it was not damaged only the valves.
