  • NIN and TOOL.. the best two ROCK bands of OUR time. It would have been nice to be young on the 60's and 70's (led zeppelin, beatles, yes, sabbath and so on..) ..but THIS IS THE MOMENT. Total catharsis.. FUCK YEAH he says..

  • perfect example of everything good in the world?

  • i used to sleep to this Darkside of the Moon by Pinkfloyd and Superunkown by Soundgarden lately ive been listening to kid cudi before i go to bed

  • @jackanthem90 You cant tell me A Warm Place is not the most peaceful and sleep creating thing ever.

Idk, but this is coming from the dude who fell asleep listening to Between the Buried and Me

  • Uh that was awesome!

  • @jackanthem90 It'll give you some fucked up dreams though..... just saying ;D

  • @jackanthem90 I've slept to it....many times....

  • More bands should do this.. I'm aware its very common to play an album in its entirety, but the way they did it was perfect. To play every song, with every last detail nailed, is truly something I wish I could see more, Id cut a year from my life to see this show >.<

  • @frootloopwarriors not every album links together as cleanly (or with as much meaning) as TDS, however

  • NIN is the best concert I have ever attended. They were amazing.

  • I think that maybe the reason that Trent doesn't speak the lyrics to this song like on the album version, is that he didn't want to be up there every night saying "HE PUT THE GUN INTO HIS FACE" both because he didn't want to encourage anyone any more than he already had, and because for most of his life since the early 90s he'd stopped thinking it himself. Those who still think it will be thinking it anyway, with or without him saying it.

  • Best song about suicide ever.

  • Awesome performance. Some of those camera angles at the beginning were a little funky, but great stuff none the less...

  • @jackanthem90 the first time i ever listened to this album i fell asleep.and the fragile...interesting times

  • Hurt, Something I Can Never Have....Trent has been down before but I don't think he was ever in a deeper, darker hole than when he wrote the simple 7 or 8 lines of suicide lyrics for The Downward Spiral.

If you find a live version of this from the Self Destruct Tour in '94-'95 with the projection screen in the background, watch it.

I don't have any favorite NIN songs but the title track on his greatest album is up there with some of the darkest shit ever produced by ANYONE.

  • @gatesoftanhauser i prefer richard patrick but robin is a close second tied with danny lohner

  • What the fuck, Why didn't he sing.

  • @whatupdude96 because there is nothing to sing in this song

  • @xPureone yes there is

  • Well, I just have to say I would have lost my mind when they played this. Awesome stuff.

  • @jackanthem90 i could

  • This is sick. NIN is still the best band I have seen in concert. Completely amazing.

  • isome time i do the same i go to sleep listening this album

  • BANG!

  • Brilliant version of the song, what just sucks is at 1:49 and 1:54, did the bartenders HAVE to be disposing of glass bottles at a more QUIET song as opposed to some other much louder moments?

  • ROBIN IS A GOD!!!

  • @ARADICAL68CAMARO

There is only one Trent, and Robin is his prophet

  • There's so much pain in this song, even now. Whenever I'm alone and have to let it all out, this is the album I go to.

And I sleep to this on occasion :p

  • @OfficialACFilms you must be heavy sleeper

  • @OfficialACFilms

i sleep listening this do ; it's very cool

  • @OfficialACFilms i know exactly what you mean.

  • @OfficialACFilms Hello there kindred spirit!

  • Wah all the way to town.

  • this song is so bitchn @ the end!

  • what crazy shit this song is fuck yeah

  • NIn will allways be a part of my life!

  • This was an odd song for me. My brother went for college and left his music behind, and the only NIN CD left was "Further Down The Spiral", and I was curious what NIN was, so I listened to it... 500 times. Then I finally got The Downward Spiral and... Huh, I kind of like the remix better because that was the first CD I heard

  • The remix is defiantly a bit darker, but I think I like it a bit more than the original.

  • not many albums that i can listen to from begining to end without skipping through..i remember so many nights in highschool days, listening to this album as i went to sleep on repeat..lol..the idea of them to do a show of them playing this album throegh is fucking awesome, i cant imagine what that would have been like to see, looks like a smaller crowd too, more intimate. this dude alway will be a musical fuckin genius in my eyes. wish i coulda been there.

  • well said, i listen to this albumstraight through, multiple times a day

  • i was gonna write a comment about how fucking awesome robin ficnk plays that solo, but my computer froze, so i got pissed so i listen to this again YEAH

  • I remember this was the first album that i heard from NIN. I was hooked. Ohhhhhh the memories.

  • You're retarded.

  • you're an idiot.

  • What the fuck is your damage little boy?

You should sue your mother for dropping you on your head when you were younger, Fuckface!

  • moron

  • I guess that's why you spelled his name wrong? Y'know...because you're a "pure fan" and all?? ((snickering))

  • What an amazing album! Wonderful way to pay homage to the genus that is Trent Reznor and nIn.

  • does anyone know what brand and type of wah the finckmeister is using on this?

  • no but i would love to know that it sounds the same that Aaron North used also
